Would prefer to play with others who have mic, being that I came from PC gaming, and still do a majority of my gaming on PC, I can't stand the PS3 messaging system, though I would happily accept any requests to play, as playing alone is boring.

Yay. Added more of you crazy people. I'm just about ready for conquest mode, I'm near the end of Shu and should have Wu done before the weekend is over. I'm hoping to play conquest exclusively in co-op, assuming my connection decides to work(rule of thumb: if I host a party and you can't connect we won't be able to play together at all :( in DW7)

Conquest mode is awesome in co-op. The only gripe about it that I have is when you kill an officer you both don't get the skill points for it.

lol first day everyone was trying to complete story modes first before focusing on Conquest and co-op!

I completed all 4 super epic stories, so I sent you friend request last night. :XD

I added someone else on here and they logged in, I send them messages and invites, and they didn't reply at all! After they logged off, I just removed them cause that was like weird of them not sending any replies....how rude, lol. :XD

Whaaaaat? 0.0 The point of co-op is to have fun teaming up with another player in the missions and stuff! And playing on Chaos definitely encourages more teamwork to survive and stuff!

Even on easier difficulty it's still fun, but if you want more out of Conquest and co-op, try playing on Hard or Chaos. :)

trophies really don't matter. :XD

If you really are obsessed with trophies, then look at it this way, co-op can help you get some of Conquest related trophies faster.

Don't know if there are trophies but still willing to try it? Takes only a couple of minutes to complete a stage, so it wouldn't even take much of your time :kurokan:

meh
Co-op in dynasty warriors is always a touchy subject for me
the way i play is so safe that i find myself always being the one that doesn't die
and only thing co-op does for me is hinder my chances of victory (when it comes to chaos and whatnot)
i mean hell i was playing with my friend and he was using Lu Bu and died to frigging SSX
and im not really obsessed with trophies per say
i just don't see an incentive to play with someone else without getting something in reward
its kinda hard for me to be able to gauge someone's skill in the game by just instantly joining
but i guess ill have to try it out

With that attitude, lets own some battles!

None I saw as I skimmed through it mention coop, though a few mention Conquest mode as a whole.

its okay, it does have a certain element of fun and its a good step forward. I just hope Koei will improve on it a bit more. Maybe More than just two play coop, maybe a group of like 6, and maps specific to online where they are huge and filled with enemies to slaughter, and some mission based elements to actually make it feel like a coop.

I played online only twice, both times it was really just running about and killing people until one of us decided to kill the commander and end the battle...which is fine, but it's not something new, I could do the same thing on my own...or with my brother.

Still, its a neat option to have.

Well, all I want to do is to give it a quick try. I got the game just recently and still playing on Normal so dying is pretty hard. No need to worry about that

2 player co-op barely manages to sustain two players in an open battlefield and you think it can handle six without slowing down the combat, reducing the size of the maps, and less enemies to support more players?

All of the missions are mission based.

And all battles in story eventually lead towards killing someone like a commander or reaching an escape point.

Yes there's more types of mini objectives involved in story maps, but it's still generally about going to A to kill or destroy B.

it's hard to apply co-op and cutscenes/special trigger events together without tons of possible glitches and bugs that could occur.

Also this is far better than Gundam Musou 3's co-op (despite supporting 4 players). If you seen that shallow rush fest with too few stages to choose from, you'd appreciate DW7's online co-op more.

If people want to get more out of Conquest/co-op/Online, consider these things:

1. try inviting a reliable friend that works together.
2. add randoms you played to friends list that worked well with you.
3. if you feel a hex/mission is too short or too easy, play it on Hard or Chaos.
4. after completing all of Conquest, play your favorite missions on harder difficulties and different ways.
5. during a mission, aim to eliminate all side officers instead of going for the commander right away.
6. If reinforcements arrive, take care of them before the commander.
7. And try not to skip the patches of soldiers that come your way. You don't have to beat every single one but at least some of them.

Missions/hexes come in all sizes, small, medium and massive, so just get further and you'll find more favorites on the map and have a good time online.

Also its recommended playing on harder difficulties if you want more length and challenge from stages.
It really feels like a different experience playing on Hard or Chaos, and with the different types of maps, there are more survival situations, more strategy involved, and more value to co-op. :)

It may involve defeating an enemy commander, but on Chaos, you will have to rethink your strategy, the ways you plan to manuver and conquer the map, and more cooperation needed between players. :)
Also there was one stage that felt like an escort mission. So there is some variety in the missions in Conquest mode.
