Think of it this way, Experiment with weapons! Because the gender restrictions are off, you could go crazy with weaponry (even DLC ones bearing in mind)

I'd be so shocked if they changed Wang Yuanji, that's like taking away Zhao Yun's spear almost now. However the throwing knives are used by generics a lot, they're more common than the club and the iron fan in-fact so maybe they do want to overhaul Yuanji which I think is crazy :/ .

The great sword and throwing knives are literally everywhere.

Probably because their the weakest of the generic sets.

The Knives don't flinch, and the great sword is pretty slow. That Club? You get hit with that thing and you are taking a combo that hurts. I know from all the generics that used it in DW7 Empires. The Iron Fan is also pretty fast.

I think Chen'G will become Emei'ci Ex user.
And like BBlade & Gatling crossbow, these new weapons will be way different than we're expecting. For Emei'ci I'm looking to soul'calibur Talim, and the other weapon, I can tell that in FF XIV there's one class that use something like that .
Either way they'll be awsome !
Talim is using a pair of Tonfa...who in this game uses Tonfa?

I still don't think generics should have gotten throwing knives at all. If they really needed a ranged weapon, surely the bow would've been more suitable at least. Or crossbow. The throwing knives just do and have suited Yuanji so well, they're just her thing pretty much.

The club flipping hurts, I found it still does in DW8 'cause after they C1 you into the air an you're surrounded you can lose a fair bit of health. But I find the great sword an odd choice to make common for the generic, surely the generics should be using the dao, spear and iron fan mostly after all I think it's the most sensible. I definitely think generics should use the bow, especially Cao Xing and Yan Yan.

 Sun Ce? Dude that has used tonfas in every DW game except DW6?

OnTopic: I'd rather Wang Yuanji not get new DLC weapons, those could be for newer adds instead.

Possibly to keep from being over run by Clubs and Swords...which isn't exactly fun. If you aren't watching your back, the generic sword musou is quite the danger. Moveset itself is also pretty hurtful. If Generics were able to use the whole set rather than up to C3, they'd be quite the nuisance...and then the next step would be programming AI combos.

Nope my friend, Talim uses somekind of daggers .
And like the Emei'ci they have a pivot making them rotating in 360'

Talim uses "Tonfa like blades" but the game calls them like...elbow blades or something, they aren't actually tonfas. They look more like daggers she just holds in reverse.

Thank you good Sir ! ;)

And what make Emei'cis unic, is in fact the pivot, allowing the user to rotate them 360º.
Talim can rotate her weapon 360º, that's why I made the comparison .

And if it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's probably a duck. SoulCalibur always pussy-footed around with 'Well they're not REALY tonfa' put in all honesty they have the same shape as tonfa and she uses them as tonfa. What they're called in game doesn't matter, if I had a cent anytime anyone called a glaive or a halberd a pike I would be a rich man!

I don't disagree, I was just saying what the game called them to clarify.

I would say they were tonfas, yeah.

And there's nothing more to be add to it, now let's moving on.

I think a Gourmet Reporter is like that guy who owns a TV programme, where he goes to various restaurants to have a taste at their foods and then rates them.

Food Critics can be big business over here... hell the BBC adores having them on featured somewhere dailly but i aint never seen any dress like that, perhaps a more continental variant of a food critic i guess, truthfully i though he was a plumber of something based on his outfit.

Still i love how as a general rule theyve made the partners outfits themed together... only exception that jumps to mind is Xing Cai/Lui Shan but theyve never really flaunted those two as an out and out couple, at least properly yet.

well its not like they did with Yueying or Zhuge Liang in DW7. both their school outfits and fairytale outfits had different motifs from each other.

couples dont have to match, but its nice when they do.

Yeah i was referencing this DLC batch. Just a shame the themes are all over the place at times within the actual kingdoms... seeing the power rangers together = awesome just like a peach oath as the three muskateers was but when you get a power ranger, a physiotherapist, bell hop and the likes all together in a cutscene it gets a bit messier haha.
