Second is "The battle of Jing Province." Stage is Nan Commandery.

Victory condition: Liu Bei is defeated.
Defeat condition: Your HQ is taken.

Rough translation "Liu Bei and Cao Cao's forces are clashing all over Jing Province. Stop Zhuge Liang's plan and seize victory!"

Cao Cao's forces: Cao Hong, Xiahou Dun, Xu Chu, Li Dian, Yu Jin, Han Hao, Xun Yu, Lu Kuang, Lu Xiang.

Stars:
- Kill 200 enemies with your weapon-switch attack. (Not sure of the English name)

- Within 3 minutes, trigger the enemies' recall.

Third one is "Arrest the quick-footed robbers." Stage is Xinye.

Victory conditions: Gan Ning, Ling Tong and Zhu Ran are defeated.
Defeat conditions: Yue Jiu, Qiao Rui and Ji Ling are defeated.

Plot is "Yuan Shu's treasure has been stolen by quick-footed warriors. Act quickly and prevent their escape!"

Edit: Nevermind, thanks Lavos there was no need.

Well look at that, a stage finally involving Zhu Ran against the Shanyue. I wondered if they were ever going to do something about and here it is....in the form of DLC.

But is it some historical stuff ? I don't remember Wei helping Shanyue when Zhu Ran and Lu Xun fought them.
Anyway, I'm interrested in a list of people with Shanyue tribe.
Any chance one of them may become playable, just like Nanman's Meng Huo ?

The problem is that the Shanyue were a nuisance to Wu for decades instead of the one-time thing with the Nanman that Shu had. So there multiple leaders.

I think the reason for Wei being involved is for well say for in-game to weaken Wu and the more obvious reason, so that the player wouldn't be fighting just generics like they did with Zhou Tai's Hero stage in DW7Xl.

A Shanyue tribe leader would be nice for Others but then who do they get?

Glad though that were getting another stage for them since I liked the stage in DW7 XL so hopefully it maybe epic like its last successor stage. I wonder why it is the "Others" yet to become playable getting some attention. I hope its more about seeing if the scenarios are going to poke interest or not. Personally myself I am interested in the Yuan Shu sagas hope prices for them are okay though.

Oh and thanks to all that take their time to post the information.

Well I found from Google:

Quote:

A barbarian tribe to the south of Wu, Cao Cao called upon them to rebel against Wu in 204, they rebelled at least once more around 234-237, causing more trouble compared to the Nanman, but were still dealt with, with ease by various Wu commanders including Lu Xun and Zhuge Ke.

Quote:

After the Han annexed them they would really only hold onto their culture in the DanYang region. It was here that they would cause many problems for Wu. Cao Cao was able to convince chieftain Fei Zhan to bother the Wu regime with small attacks. Lu Xun was able to defeat Fei Zhan and take thousands of ShanYue people captive. In 216 Cao Cao would again convince the ShanYue to revolt under the command of Youtu. Again Lu Xun would settle them. It would take Wu 30 years to pacify the ShanYue tribe but after that they would no longer cause any problems for China.

Also from a JP wiki, I think this is what the stage is based on. :

Quote:

"Fei Zhan and You Tu: Chiefs of Shanyue. In 216, they were presented with a ribbon (some type of belt-shaped garment, bestowing proof of governmental affairs) by Cao Cao. They revolted against Sun Quan in Danyang, but were passified by Lu Xun and He Qi. Fei Zhan and You Tu were killed."

According to Lu Xun's wiki page, You Tu and Fei Zhan were put down at different times, not together like the above says. Would have been nice if both were there anyway. :P
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lu_Xun_%28Three_Kingdoms%29#Eliminating_bandit_forces

Since Cao Cao was the one that got them to rebel, he would have been using that chance to attack Wu at the same time no doubt. So yeah, it is pretty historical as far as these things go.

Yeah it seems the PSN has trouble keeping all the DLC up on its own page. I found what I was looking for in the game's online menu

The DLC site has been updated and it's still not interesting, yep even that Two Qiaos statue doesn't really attract me. Now I'll just wait for next week to see what will they give for us.

I find DLC stages interresting personally.
It's definitely the only thing I'd pay for.
This and weapons.
So in my opinion they are going the good way.

The 3 new stages are:

"Escape from Wan Castle". Dunno how this will be any different from the one in-game.

"Search for Red Hare": This time Lu Lingqi is the one looking for him, and she goes to Changban to track him down. Defeat any enemies in the area.

"Guo Huai Life-prolonging Battle": Defeat as many enemies as possible to make Guo Huai feel alive.

Yeah, they do seem a little un-interesting...

Maybe it's from Xiahou Dun point of view (which could explain why Xiahou Dun is on the picture).

I mean, Dian Wei & Cao Cao are in the burning castle.
Xiahou Dun comes to rescue them, slashing many ennemies in his way.

Well ... no more weapons :(
DW8 came out on February 28 in Japan.
First DLC weapons came in May ! But there was already DLC in March.

So, first DLC weapons came 2 months after the first DLC.

If there is still no DLC weapons in May, then OK.
But it's way too early to say there won't be new weapons.
Way too early.

EDIT :
Can someone tell me what next week DW6 BGM are ?

I think I will like the new BGM available next week a lot. Especially the beginning of it reminds me of some tracks from the old DWs. Fitting title too.

The Blog right here has updated and revealed again the generals fighting and the three star objectives.

Interesting for the first stage, Fa Zheng is the commander over the Shu forces for the capture of Chengdu and I pretty sure Ma Chao and Ma Dai will defect but hey look, Liu Bei isn't the commander.

The second stage is that you're on the side of Shu under Liao Hua and the Five tiger generals against Xiahou Dun and Wei's Five Generals.

The last one is a interesting mixup. It's the Oath bros plus the wei loyalists of Jin plus Chen Gong and Lu Lingqi all against Dong Zhuo.

Edit: Interesting, Jian Yong has been showing A LOT as a generic in these stages.

Edit: Actually they forget to add one enemy for the third stage. Your allies are gonna be separated and they're fighting other generals. Wen Yang is facing another Jin general, Chen Gong vs Jia Xu, Xiahou Ba vs Zhuge Dan, Lu Lingqi vs Hua Xiong, and Zhoug Hui vs a Wei general.

The third one looks pretty annoying. The theme is your forces deserting you, and one of the stars is to defeat everyone without anyone deserting you.

Yu Jin has a listing for Wan Castle in his encyclopedia entry, too. Maybe they are indeed setting up a side of the battle where you fight inward.

I'm a little disappointed that none of these stages are actually...yaknow....new maps. That was one of my favorite things to see from the stage DLC, adding maps to fight on.

Yeah, Yu Jin's first real acomplishment was protecting Cao Cao's retreat from Wan so they're probably seting it up so it's in the minds of the less history/novel knowledgeable fans that this is an aspect of Wan that they can now do.

I wish they'd stop with these gimmick battles and go back to the throwback stages. Those were so much more pleasant, and there's so many nice DW5-DW3 stages they could do remakes of, too.
