KOEI don't have any qualms about giving people ridiculous weapons these days. Next to the bladed yoyo, the arm cannon and Xiahou Ba's... thing, the erhu doesn't look so ridiculous actually. As for the twin daggers, I would be so excited for their return. There were so many good weapons in the DW6 era, that it was so unnecessary for them to just cut for no real reason in 7. Gan Ning's knives, Lu Xun's sword, Sun Jian's sword, etc |

Yeah wouldnt be any harm i suppose in it being made reminiscent of the now departed slow DW7 style Flail. It was bulkier and used for wide swings in arcs around the character... the new flail is more direct in front of you and pacier in its usage, shouldnt be all that hard actually to make them different - it would also given its bulk be done with the ability to grab enemies and slam them, it is after all a wrecking ball. Not missing any of the older movesets now though if totally honest now Stone Pillar has been announced, the rest are scraping the barrel in design of really mostly a case of people asking for pretty much a majority case of a new sword and we aint short of them. Be nice is the weapon designs featured on others as DLC or what have you though but whilst i miss the serated Dong Zhuo sword or the forked Tongue Yuan Shao sword of old i dont want new movesets just to get them in the game. Only Dual Maces and Daggers IMO stand out as older weapons which could be truly unique without getting absurb with mechanics to make them so given the number of swords still missing... They are going all over the shop with swords nowadays i mean Cao Pi longsword can freeze time, Sun Quan retro sword inspired Flaming Sword catches fire and Sun Jians sword creates shockwaves (its design inspired by DW6 Xiahou Yuan/Huang Zhong variants). DW8XL was more exciting for me because in a Scroll, Dat Rug and the return of the Cross Halberd more than anything guaranteed more unique approach from what we've had compared to a sword which would simply something different from the rest. Basically what im trying to say and probably failing is that the more unique the weapon design the more unique it can be without adding the farcical just to "make it" unique even if ironically the more unique weapon designs have had some of the biggest gimmics (Circle Blade with time window attacks, Short Halberd with held charge attacks, Tactics Scroll with ally assistance etc) |

I wonder if Koei will consider to add demi-humans or human with extreme proportion in DW series. It can open-up more creativity for the moveset instead of basing it on just weapon imo. It won't be that weird since there are some ROTK media that pictures the likes of Guan Yu and Zhang Fei to be extremely tall. Even Orochi series that involves mystic and demon concept still make their original characters with human proportion, with the exception of Hundun, Kyubi, and Robot Nezha. |

At the end of a charge attack, if you press T you can remember the attack pattern or unleash the [remembered] attack. Whoa... totally unsure on what this could mean And about the name, 鴛鴦鉞 literally means Mandarin Duck Hooks, if you google either of the names you'll get the actual weapon too, but for some reason this name kinda feels rather funny to me.. Then I tried googling Deer Horn Knives and read this: Deer Horn Knives (Chinese: 鹿角刀; pinyin: Lųjiǎodāo), also known as crescent moon knives or duck blades (Chinese: 鸳鸯钺; pinyin: Yuānyāngyuč) EDIT: On a second thought, maybe I'd rather just use Mandarin Duck Hooks. It's far more accurate when you google it And the rest are just more existing DLC costumes for PS4 Edited by BlackKite, Thu Apr 3, 2014 4:22 am.

You people sicken me. Wu Fu was a Han officer of the light cavalry, basically Cao Cao's second in command, he is the second person to try and kill Dong Zhuo, he attacked him with a knife but was stopped by Lu Bu, in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms he tears Dong Zhuo a new one with a speech which sparks off Cao Cao's assassination attempt. |
