Right now I see what you you mean...finally Im so stupid aha. Yeah its annoying that they share move sets with the NPCs, I dont see why they were decloning the res of the cast they just didnt make new movesets for the NPCs or the characters who shared movesets with them. Also Id like to see weapons similar to those of Orochi and Kai, I think they'd be quite fun to use and be nice to see a DW twist on SW weapons. |

I was just randomly searching and I found this...its called the Tekagi- Iron claws or knuckle dusters. These were made of iron and were effective at parrying a blade. They were used for climbing but also for fighting. Thought they might fit the melee style but just an idea for the most part. Tekagi @Averryy lol its all good. If they make DLC weapons that do not have an EX owner then they should wait until DW9 to give them an owner or use them for CAW. |

@Averryy, It's ok man. lol @Lu Tzu yeah man the palm version of the Tekagi is perfect. The claw version is what Zhang He uses. Even saw a pic where they basically allowed the user to grab a sword and claw at his opponents face. Of course they were just demonstrating, but it serves it's purpose. |

Ahh sweet then this would almost be perfect for it. They could keep the palm part and form a flashy gauntlet part around it to make it look more "noticeable", well it doesnt have to be a gaunlet but you catch my drift lol |

Yep you got it, they could just have it fit on his hand/arm and have the spikes where the grip is. I'd hate to get an open palm to the face from that lol |

Lol same here... One thing I did notice that got confirmed was DLC for the Commander mode. Just like how we talked about the other night. Being able to change the way the town and tower looked. I hope they offer a good bit for this, and allow players to visit other players town as well. I hope we get more info this week.. It's go time now... Just so close now. I expect an information blowout by friday. This week is going to be awesome. |

Yeah I'm expecting some big information this week too, can't wait. We did hit the commander mode DLC on the head. Knowing Koei I wouldn't doubt that there will be designs that are "far out there" so we could expect anything really. I read a tweet by Chin where someone was worried about the west not having a enough retweets for that campaign he did called the #DW8proposal and he said "haha it's okay!!! Don't worry <3" soo even though its not solid proof, it got my hopes up again for a western release! lol |

Chin knows something. He's playing coy lol... First when garnix asked him if it would be better if he posted it on facebook for higher likes, he was like... "Nah, this should be fine." Now this? lol Dude playing with a hand of 5 aces and there is only 4 in a deck.

Yeah I saw where Garnix posted that...I think he knows something too. What else made me curious is when he asked for 360 fans... we might get an english dub (not too sure on this though) or it may just be so N/A fans have the chance to get a hard copy of the game even if it is only english sub(since in N/A the PS3 will not make hard copies because of some retriction they have for none english dubbed games). Then they could just do XL as a DLC Edited by Lu Tzu, Mon Feb 18, 2013 6:20 am.

I hope we do get a hard copy... Also XL as a DLC bundle would be fine by me. I wonder how soon will they bring XL out? The wait between 7 and 7XL wasn't that long really.. Japan may end up getting XL before the year is out. |

I bet it will be about the same for Japan. I never expected another Dynasty Warriors game either though, I didn't think they would bring one out until 2014. I'll say they will get an XL probably around the same time September-November. With that I bet we will see a pretty fair about of DLC in March and April. |

It sounds accurate, but if Xtreme Legend comes around after Dynasty Warriors 8, they could fix some moveset ![]() But then again, they add new weapon system to make the weapon faster or stronger, so I guess that makes it up. |

Agreed.. And to think... This time next year, we will be gearing up for the release of SW4. I hope we get a lot of good content this year between 8 and 8XL. Candidate for new sword... War Sword Had Quan on my mind, when I chose this. Thinking more in particularly of his WO3 moveset and how he would go 2 handed in some of his strikes. |

I just hope we get Samurai Warriors for in the west even if its just english subs lol I wouldn't mind. The English dub for Samurai Warriors 3 was baaaaaad lol. But I do too, they made a good profit with the DLC I have a feeling we will see even more DLC then last time, just as long as its good! Sword looks pretty sweet. Like how the blade kinda widens towards the top |

Yeah I hope we get english dubs as well. They made killer profit last year, and hopefully they have found a formula that wins. Giving the opportunity to make them a mainstay. Let's hope that formula isn't "NO-ENGLISH DUB" Lol. I don't mind sub-titles, my only complaint about them is you have to take your eyes off the action at times. All in all.. I can see them localize this anywhere from May-Aug. So hopefully they get this in, in that time frame. For the War sword, just thought that particular type would be cool for him. When you look these up, you get all types of crazy looking swords that could fit quan really. Some even simi-gladiatorial. Here are a few others... War Sword Skins??

First Paragraph: Well, you can't get what you want like always. but since there is a gap between the two release, then yea, it's sound about right to dub it. Four months of translate and dubbing makes it worth it. Warriors Orochi 3 has big-ass cast, so it's bit understandable, unless you want to wait for a year for that one. Second: Looks nice. There might be skin on sword, but the other two can be consider a new dlc weapons for me. |

WO3 was understandable... The cast was huge, and now DW is creeping up on that number. They may stop VO's due to just this alone. Guess it can't be helped, but we shall see. Yeah the others are from different regions(weapons).. The one in the middle is actually a Chinese War Sword |

What did garnix say? Interesting weapon choices we have got going on here, we should send an idea email to Koei in JPN with the weapon ideas haha..I wish. I think we will get a better idea of how commander mode will be supported with DLC when we get to play it in action and see how it works. |

I love the gladiator type of swords, loved playing as achilles. The first one is probably my favorite. Other types of weapons from different time periods/countrys shouldn't be a problem...Zhou Tai uses a Katana(chinese guy using a Japanese sword), Xiahou Ba time-skipped and pimped out his lance with a rocket lol. About Subs yeah thats one thing I hate about it is I feel like I read more then I get to play |

@Averryy I didn't see how garnix responded afterwards. Just saw how Chin responded. Man I swear I wish I knew a way to send an email to Koei. lol Glad you guys liked those sword for Quan. But tell me... Would you guys be mad if he went a lil different. Something like Butterfly Swords and Skins Lol I'll stop for Quan there.. What you guys think? Even if he didn't get them.. They would be nice for someone. I'd call them "Twin Wolf Fangs" for Quan... Edited by BryllTheRed, Mon Feb 18, 2013 8:27 pm.

I dont think I'd like them weapons would suit Quan, I still think he's a sword kind of guy, I dont know why but Id like to see those weapons as DLC then later be given to a woman character in the future. I just think it reminds me of NeNe's weapons. |

That weapon does look similar to Nene, but finding a suitable character can be a problem. For Quan, I think the wolf sword sounds good, but I think I can wait for now. One thing it might be hard to execute will be... Seeing Cao Pi's old weapon, but instead of holding twin edge sword, but having it two of them. |

Just thought it would be different for him. If every ruler stuck with just the regular swords things would become a bit uninteresting later down the line with them. In the end will we have guys like Yuan Shu, Ma Teng, Liu Biao, Gongsun Zan etc all with swords? Or would it be better if they spread the different types? This is NeNe's weapon... And take into account that she is a ninja. Even if they were the same, which they arent... Quan would use them quite differently. ![]() I see where you guys come from with it though. I'm just not one that feels rulers should be restricted to swords and guarantee that the feeling of him being a "sword guy" is just because that's all he has ever had. I see Quan as more of the brawler type of ruler, does what he has to just to get the job done. Even if he has to cut corners. Fighting dirty when he needs too.. Or at least that's the vibe I get from him post 3-5 era. I think he needs something that gives him that particular edge. I personally think his new gear throws him back to Dw6 a lil while maintaining a sense that he is indeed a ruler. The look still looks like a brawler type though. My opinion of course... At a glance Liu Bei - Twin Swords Liu Shan - Rapier Cao Cao - General Sword Cao Pi - Twin Edge Sword <------- Sun Jian - Nine Ring Sword \ Sun Ce - Tonfas <-------------------- -----These 3 stand out in the crowd. Sun Quan - Dao / Sima Yi - Whisk <-------------------- Sima Shi - Lightning Sword Sima Zhao - Strike Broadsword Yuan Shao - Stretch Rapier Lu Bu - Halberd <------ Meng Huo - Gloves \____ That's if you count them. Rest of cast? Lu Xun Xiahou Dun Yue Jin Guan Ping Xu Shu Lol and you know more swords are coming. Sun Hao? Sima Yan? Yuan Shu? Ma Teng? Liu Biao? Not saying all of them will make it or that they all should be included.. But when they do, or if they do.. Do we just stick em with swords? Hope you guys understand my reasoning... It's just something different, well kinda... They are still swords. Wing Chun Swords. They actually make longer versions of them, just chose the shorter ones to help give Quan "identity." Lol I know he will get a sword anyway.. That's just what the do. Change isn't always bad though. Edited by BryllTheRed, Mon Feb 18, 2013 10:53 pm.

I'm going to start off with the butterfly swords, love them always wanted them in the game, but I see them more for a quick/general(they almost got a pirate feel to them) however they don't remind me of nene's weapons, maybe they would fit someone like Yu Jin, Lu Kang. I also feel that Sun Quan is more of a dirty brawler especially with the quote he said to Zhang Liao lol. I don't think that all rulers need to have a type of sword, take Samurai Warriors leaders for example, Shingen Takeda, Ieyasu Tokugawa, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, Mitsunari Ishida none of them have swords, so Sun Quan getting something different wouldn't bother me at all....he doesn't have to have one. I think he will stay with some type of sword though just because hes had one this whole time. |
