The Wu costumes seems so "dark", almost everyone wears black suits. Zhou Yu: butler cafe. Lu Xun: bartender. SSX: casino dealer. Sun Jian: construction chef. Sun Ce: mountain hiker? Xiaoqiao: nekomimi moe maid. Daqiao: yamato nadeshiko maid. Taishi Ci: British guard. Sun Quan: diver Lu Meng: Limo driver. Lu Su: Rich dude. Huang Gai: life guard. Lianshi: takoyaki seller? Ding Feng: enka singer? Zhou Tai: reminds me of Michael Jackson or this dude. I dunno what the other three are? But Ling Tong looks like some Bruce Lee wannabe. Pretty sure we passed that thresh-hold when Meng Huo's Pillar was introduced in DW6E. The weapon looks cool :3 . Definitely giving it to either Lian Shi or Yue Ying though. The weapon would fit perfectly with either. Edited by FKA, Thu May 9, 2013 6:22 am.

Inorite? Nothing says I Have Muscles And Don't Give a @!$# like skimpy swimwear which also happens to be practical. The Wu batch is random as all hell. I expected Lu Meng in a more academic sort of position. At least Lu Su has ~SWAG~ and Xiao Qiao is characteristically pants-crappingly adorable in that kitty maid uniform. |

And yet people were still on about it when pistols were being discussed. Wu's theme seems to be recreational...or at least the service industry. So yeah, they're still totally blue collar-ish. The only ones that kinda stand out are Han Dang and Sun Jian. Everyone else is a butler (Lu Su), a waiter (Zhou Yu), valet (Lu Meng) a bar tender (Lu Xun), lifeguard (Huang Gai), singer (Ding Feng), scuba diver (Sun Quan), card dealer (Sun Shangxiang), Lianshi ( ), and Sun Ce...i guess, many cruises have wall climbing. Daqiao and Xiaoqiao appear to be some kind of...shop owners or something. Both of them are wearing nametags (from what I can tell anyway). Babysitters or something ![]() Gan Ning and Ling Tong look like janitors or maintenance guys or something. They're wearing the same outfit, except Ling Tong has his top down and Gan Ning has a spray bottle. Little bit of reaching, I suppose... Edited by Mr. Kamikaze, Thu May 9, 2013 6:24 am.

Lianshi is a diver to go along with Sun Quan, likely this type: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ama_divers Sun Ce is a construction/utility (probably utility) worker; he's got a hardhat on his back and tools on his hip. Also Gan Ning's jacket says "TIGER FUNG" on the back. Also thinking about it, in keeping with the restaurant theme of Wu, Shangxiang is likely a hostess (for those unfamiliar, that's the woman that escorts guests to their seats when they first arrive). No I agree on some of those in that I'm not sure how they delegated which profession went to which person, because for all the smartasses Wu has, none of them are in any academic or professional field (and yet Cao Pi's a doctor?) Maybe we're reading too much into what's supposed to be "fun" costumes. (I'm not gonna lie Xiaoqiao *cough* does not look bad.) Edited by Lil'Richard, Thu May 9, 2013 6:34 am.

That was because they were using it in the context of time. Things like the drill lance, magical whisk , wire claws, and the recent screw crossbow are 'out-there' enough to pass in Koei's fantasy-inspired take on this era of China. However the issue with pistols is that, like Xiahou Ba's lance, they're too futuristic to be logically present in that period. That is, unless Koei are alluding to the fact that Warriors Orochi's storyline was somewhat canon, where some aspects of the fused world were brought back into DW's world after WO3's conclusion... True - but I think it's hella fun to figure out strong, evocative translations of archetype as opposed to something serviceable and not blatantly out of character. Of course, there's the challenge of not retreading ground from DW7 (like awesome teacher Lu Meng) and giving the outfits enough visible distinction (which is probably why Cai Wenji wasn't a librarian or whatnot - she would have just looked like some random modestly dressed professional). KOEI probably wanted to have different kingdom-specific themes without repeating older ideas. |

Hmm... checking the Screw Crossbow weapon, it kinda looks like a drill with a rapid firing arrows. So... it's not really Yueying's Bladebow. Kinda depressing though. |

Yay for more costumes ~ <3 My faves in the Wu batch are Lu Xun, Gan Ning, and.....Lu Meng. o3o I have to say I am disappointed that their is no male-fanservice in this set. I'm even disappointed that Huang Gai isn't topless though he's a lifeguard, and I don't even like him that much. XDDD Ce is alright, but his chest looks kinda weird and broad. I can't remember if it was like that in 7. >.> Maybe the fan-service will be in Shu/Jin/Other. *crosses fingers* XD Is that Ma Chao I see as a ranger-type thing with a huge helmet? XP And I'm kinda excited for the Wei females wallpaper. X3 |

I use my american account as my main. So store lockout. Though I didn't think to just use my jp account to access the weapon shop's DLC tab. Back to the sword, this thing is cool! And yes it's so not a Sun Quan kind of thing because it's primarily backhanded and has an amount of acrobatics Sun Quan's never displayed any prominence at in these games. I have to say it's a tricky weapon to get the hang of but it's rather amazing to see in the hands of someone with shadowless kick in use. So running with the sword does indeed ignite the blade as it's constantly dragged along the ground. Various charge attacks also ignite the sword. C1, C2, C5, and the jump charge are all capable of igniting the sword. There are 2 levels of flames from my observations. A lit sword does not imbue the weapon's standard attack with fire like the Guan Dao, but it does add innate fire to charge attacks as well as changes the properties of certain charge attacks either by extending the attack or adding a new finisher to them. You can keep the sword unlit by staying on horse back and not running along the ground. Attacking immediately after non ignition charges also keeps you with a clean sword as you need to move around a bit or use the designated charges to ignite the sword. The base attack string is flashy and about as effective as Xu Shu's. Charge attacks are where it gets trippy. C1. Stabs ground and drags blade back to base stance. Standard DW7 flincher. Can use right after itself to ignite Flame Lvl 2 Default (No Flame) - No special effect. Flame Lvl 1 - Small burst of fire on contact with ground Flame Lvl 2 - Larger burst of fire using one of the various "Flowering" weapon skill auras tinted red. Range of fire splash increased C2. Slashes ground from the behind right to forward left upwards into the air, lifting user. Ignites sword. Perfect tool for characters like Cao Cao and Sun Jian who don't have a self-launcher. C3. Requires contact to initiate. Multiple slashes in an 8/Infinity pattern before a sliding pose/slash that explodes the enemy you were cutting. Innate fire element C4. Forward sliding slash followed by a spinning backflip while slashing in circles in the air. Having either Flame Lvl grants this attack Fire. C5. Also requires contact to initiate. Though it's a bit unusual. Default (No Contact) - Drags sword like C1. Initiates Flame Default (Contact) - A slash followed by a jumping slash that slams the floor and launches enemies Flame Lvl 1 - Same as contact, only with Fire added Flame Lvl 2 - Multiple slashes like C3, followed by stabbing the floor with explosion that launches. Also Fire elemental Flame Lvl 2 (No Contact) - Whiffs on the slash, points at floor for explosion. C6. Round slash. 360 range Default - Single round slash Flame Lvl 1 - Multiple fire elemental 360 slashes while moving forward. Knocks enemies away. Flame Lvl 2 - Adds additional Suction/Explosion after slashes. Ignites explosion by posing. Jump Attack - Simple right to left slash Jump Charge - Slams the floor. Spin launches grounded enemies. Ignites sword with same dragging as C1 Shadowless Kick - Really is a kick. Stabs sword into the ground and kicks forward, dragging the blade along. Ignites sword. Variable Attack - Uppercut swing with sword with flame burst. Seems to keep enemies in juggle even if used on airborne enemy Variable Counter - Backs up and follows with upper cut slash. Spin launches. Can combo afterwards. Storm Rush - Alternating Left and right slashes Horse attacks are nothing special. Alternating left and right slashes for both standard and charge. Zhou Tai is a triad. Sun Jian more like a soba chef to me. Ling Tong and Gan Ning look like in automotive area of business. And DAAAAAMMMMNNN... Finally a tight hotpants for Lian Shi. But Koei is rather focusing on 'good boy' than adult so that's why it's minus cameltoe. I'd love to see it -------------- About the new Arm Cannon, we should see the Level 5 design and color to know to which kingdom it belongs to. Apparently in DW8 they either make or repaint the Lv 5 weapons into each kingdoms' color scheme. (Wu always have red, Wei always have blue and so on.) Edited by Raiko Z, Thu May 9, 2013 8:08 am.

If Zhu Ran is coming, I want him being killed by Zhao Yun, and if he saved in the gamr then he kills Zhao Yun instead and goes by historical route. Still I hope there is chance for Xu Sheng... but it rather would be Zhuge Jin.
