WOOOOOW!! And greatest New World chapter to date. Imagine this arc in anime episodes!!!! This could totally make up for the mediocre Fishman Island and Punk Hazard arcs. This is one of the greatest chapters so far!! Very interesting how Bellamy has developed (maybe it was a good thing they returned after all, at least for this tournament. ) So for the heavy hitters highlights, C BLOCK (139 gladiators) Luffy ,swordsman (gladiator sounded better, but guess they are all gladiators technically.) Sai ,martial artist Kelly Funk ,hitman Jean Ango ,bounty hunter Boo ,martial artist Ideo ,boxer Fighting Bull Hajrujin ,giant warrior Don Chin Jao ,former pirate Bobby Funk ,hitman D BLOCK (138 gladiators) Meadows ,swordsman Fighting Lion Mummy ,sorceror Orlumbus ,adventurer Caven Dish, pirate Suleiman ,war criminal Rolling Logan ,army captain Acilia ,swordsman Damask ,pyromaniac Rebecca ,swordswoman B BLOCK (138 gladiators) Elizabelio the 2nd ,fighter Tank Lepanto ,army captain Abdullah ,criminal Bartolomeo ,pirate Ricky ,swordsman Dagama ,strategist Hack ,fishman warrior Jeet , criminal Bluegillly ,martial artist Bellamy ,pirate Bartolomeo and Bellamy are probably going to be the last two. WOW this is building up to be one of the most epic arcs!!!! (unless most of the fighting is off panel) So fighters are eliminated if they end up outside the ring, or killed. This could be the most brutal and intense One Piece battles yet!!!! Still not sure what Doflamingo is thinking, they are up against a wall and they probably are savoring the moment before the marines rain down on Dressrosa, or maybe it's a plot to obtain Caesar, Law and the Strawhats. The good thing is that each Block seems to fight 1 at a time (A Block, which Burgess won, was cleaned up before B Block began), so we could get to see all the brawls in further detail. So that means next chapters, Bellamy's block will shine, then Luffy's block then Cavendish and Rebecca's block. The marines better not interrupt this tournament until it's completely over. Though after each Block has a winner, would there be two paired 1 on 1 matches or a battle royale between 4? And wonder how the Donquixote Family fits into the tournament? Would the winner have to beat all of them to get the fruit? Edited by saner, Wed Apr 17, 2013 7:26 pm.

Oda is known to weave real life, myths, legends, mythology, history, fairy tails, literature and other things into his stories. Maybe he used the story of Robin Hood and the tournament. The sheriff, who was a pretty good archer himself, tried to catch Robin Hood held an archery contest and the price was a golden arrow. Of course Robin Hood in dusguise won, who is known for his excellent marksmanship, but that also revealed his true identity as the sheriff knew Robin Hood would particiapte and the one to surpass his own abilities with the bow had to be Robin Hood. So maybe it´ll play out like that? Doflamingo used the Mera Mera no Mi as a bait for Luffy in the first place. This tournament is nothing more than a trap for Luffy. Either he´ll reveal himself during a fight or Doflamingo expects Luffy to win and thus is ready to take him down once he does so. Though my guess it´s: Block A - Jesus Burgess, Black Beard Fleet Captain Block B - Bellamy Block C - Lucy Blcok D - Rebecca |

How do you dare to say Punk Hazard as mediocre? lol One of my favorite arcs! Seriously, Caesar is just awesome! Dressrosa has everything to be the best arc in One Piece up to date. Lots of enemies and new characters, as well the return of Hyena Bellamy. This can easilly surpass Walter 7/Enies Lobby. P.S. Kinemon, Momonosuke and Rebecca for new Straw Hat! Bartolomeo is so freaking ugly... and a minkman.

i don't understand why the hell people overrating Punk Hazard that much. The most interesting part of it is basically : background story, Trafargar Law, curtain for the new plot (pirate alliance saga). The majority of it is basically, running, running, running, and running, seriously. The enemies provided no big challenge (which is understandable because it happens after timeskip, and being the opening for alliance saga). Punk Hazard is basically like Whisey peak, Little Garden, Jaya, and Shabondy. I find it ridiculously too long for such an "opening arc" (fishman island also suffered the same problem). now, we move on to the main plot haha. I cannot wait to see Fujitora's power, he seems to be a VERY nice man compared to all previous admiral. And Bellamy return as awesome character, i'm hoping for him to kick that ugly Bartolomeo. |

Oi, oi, oi - we learned a lot in that arc and we´ve seen some really good scenes. Especially the part about learning what Law and some of the other supernovas are planning (taking down the supernovas and the alliance), we learned a lot about Kaidou and Doflamingo, as well as a first glimpse at Vegapunk´s works, we learned about an important fact about the devil fruits, Virgo was an awesome villain and the way Law dealt with him was epic, the fight of Zoro vs. Monet was more than badass (at least the way Zoro ended it), the body swap thing was hillarious, Law vs. Smoker was awesome, Doflamingo´s and Law´s little deal, Doflamingo wiping the floor with Smoker just to be interrupted by Aokiji, foreshadowing of Dressrosa and the Wano Country and so much more happened. It´s not the best arc ever, but it is one of the best arc as it combined world building, informations, interesting characters, action and comedy, all parts of One Piece that make it great in the first place. It´s clearly a "stepping island" in a grander picture of Oda-sensei, but it did well as a standalone arc as well. |

So who else thought Sanji did one of the coolest things in chapter 723? When he sees that his crew mates were in trouble, he sky walked really fast and caught up with Doflamigo before he could attack the Sunny. Now how is the fight going to go? It's obvious that Dol won't lose but Sanji can't lose either. Anyways, excited for the next one. |

Sanji is either going to lose or the fight is going to get interrupted somehow. |
