Lets Talk Maps; Maps

So what kind of maps do you think we will get? Will they all be completely new and Original?

Personally I think it would be cool if they brought back maps from all 3 games.

Even though some from 3 weren't very good, I did like a few, like the Castle type one and the Desert ones.

I would definitely want the underground volcano ones from the fist games, and the space maps from the second game were great.

And of course we do need some new ones since they are making the Seed story-lines.

So what maps would you like to see?

apparently there are gonna be around 50 Stages in this game. with the assumption that CCA and unicorn are gonna be shorter campaigns, maybe 8-10 stages between them, thats leaves roughly ten, give or take, for MSG, Zeta, SEED, and Destiny. Since we already have had Official Modes for MSG, Zeta and CCA, and kinda know what they will have, what i think for the others would be;

SEED:
* Heliopolis, probably post damage, perhaps half in colony, half space.
* Space, have some fleets, maybe the atmospheric entry.
* African Desert where the BuCUES and such lied.
* Oceanic + Islands where Nicol died, and kira and athrun had their famous duel.
* Federation Base where freedom debuted and the Cyclops system.
* Battle For ORB
* Space + The Weapons/Lab Colony where Kira was born.
* The PLANTS + Genesis for the final battle.

Destiny:
* Armory One
* Junius 7 Colony Drop.
* Escape from Orb (i think this was in the demo)
* Oceanic Stage where Freedom made its intervention (could prolly use one for both battles, its just water and fleets)
* Battle of Berlin
* Operation Fallen Angel
* Heavens Base
* ORB Fury (maybe could use the previous ORB stage)
* Battle of Requiem Moon base place
* Battle of Messiah

So you don't think there will be extra stages that are not from any particular series, like the Castle stage or Volcano stages?

Prolly will be. cant necessarily sum it up and take it completely into account, nor know what special unique stages and themes they are planing, now can I? I mean, if i did... they wouldnt be special, and prolly not very unique.

I guess it is gonna depend on if they have an original story mode as well.

I hope they expand the maps, as in make them more extensive.

For example, take those land/forest maps. There can be MS and turrets and other defences in place protecting a main base which is situated underground or in a huge building or mountain, which our gundams can enter to destroy even more stuff. Kind of like the castle stages in the SW/later DW games.

Add some contours to the land maps, making the ground 100% flat like in DWG3 is just :facepalm: . In those indoor areas, instead of stairs they can make use of cargo lifts to similate travelling between different floors.
Make some of the walls/floor/ceiling destructible for hidden areas/items.

Since the gundams can boost jump, put that feature to better use other than just air musou. Place enemy snipers/turrets on a rock outcrop above shooting down at you, or from a second floor ledge shooting down while you are trashing up the first floor of a building.
