LIST UPDATED 14 Dec Just to make sure about the total count of playable MS in the game, let's make a place here to count the MS roster so far. So first let's assume that all GW3 roster, as well as returning those from GW2 that got removed, and for the time being assume that there are no class promotions except for Glemy's Bawoo getting his deserved Class 2 back. (I'm not adding Elmeth to the list because I doubt it'll be ever playable yet) UPDATE: Devil Gundam is confirmed to be not playable GW3 Roster Class 1&2: 53 Grunts: 26 MAs: 5-1 GW3 Total: 84-1 = 83 Returning from GW2 Class 1&2: 6 Grunts: 2 MAs: 1 Returning Total: 9 GW3 + GW2 Returning = 83+9 = 92 And now, let's input the currently confirmed brand-new additions. Of course Super Gundam is not included because it's just Gundam Mk-II's new Burst Mode. DLCs like Beargguy and Wing Zero Custom are not included either since they're not in-game.
Class 1&2: 25 Grunts: 5 MAs: 1 New Addition Count: 31 Current Total = 92+31 = 123 Total Non-Grunt Units (Class1&2 & MA): 53+5-1 + 6+1 + 25+1 = 90 Total Grunt Units: 26 + 2 + 5 = 33 So some possible scenarios that I'm thinking of here would be: 1. They're actually still cutting some corners and in fact not all grunts may be returning. I haven't seen a Gouf Flight Type or a Zakutank yet to this point. But if they didn't remove any ZZ grunts and even made the MP Bawoos returning too, I couldn't really see them removing any previous grunts.. 2. There could be, in fact, over 130 MS that are appearing in-game. They've done this with that certain Koei-Tecmo crossover Warriors, where they promised over 120 characters but in the end turned out to be more than 130 ...but I still think it's too good to be true here..

So basically DLC is our only hope to get anything outside of Seed or Unicorn. And Unicorn has only gotten 2 suits so far. My hype for this game is dropping like a brick. Edited by Wild Lion, Sun Nov 17, 2013 8:13 am.

Do we actually know if all of the MA's from previous games will indeed be playable? Devil Gundam and Alpha for example are questionable as they are/were. And yeah, this is why I've been irritated with last weeks adds. Did the math myself earlier and came to the same unfortunate conclusions. |

Thanks for working it out BlackKite. Like Black Lion said it seems for anything outside of Seed or Unicorn any new mobile suits will be DLC. I'm still looking forward to it. However since I have been playing all 3 Gundam Musou games in the last 6 months I fear of burning myself out come Shin. I think what will happen is I'll focus mainly on the Unicorn and the SEED/Destiny official modes then take a break and resume at a later date. |

My hype has been steadily dropping ever since it was announced that SEED and Destiny would be getting Official Modes. Now it's non-existent. The game already disappoints me. Koei seemed to do all the right things in the places that really mattered, like gameplay, but has absolutely dropped the ball in terms of handling additions to the game, thanks in part to Bandai and their attempts to further shove SEED down our throats. Honestly, I doubt I'll even get the game now, since the only selling points are Banshee and Impulse as I have NO interest in any other unit revealed thus far. Banshee is like the one saving grace here, and I don't think I want to spend $80+ to import a game for one suit and a few new stages. Might be better just to hold out for Full Boost a month later. I'll wait for the next batch to see, but if it's like the last one I'm leaning toward canceling my preorder and looking forward to something more satisfying. Seems about right and what I was expecting. Very happy with the move to fill out Seed and Destiny without just leaving them in a half done state, hopefully they continue like this into next gen by filling out shows rather than drip feeding certain ones. Still hoping to see some of the left out Zeta and MSG units to compete those shows however. Now just want to know what Gundams are gonna be stuck at Class 2, I'm actually quite looking forward to having such a long official mode for a change, would really like to hear about Ultimate mode though. Personally this seems to have given me everything none-sidestory/upgrade/pre-upgrade suit I really care about playing so looking forward to my copy arriving

Pretty much. Utterly unsatisfying to anyone who isn't a SEED fan. Been waiting to see the Shuffle Alliance in, and now I have to wait even longer. Even SDGO, which has some of the worst roster updates in the entirety of Gundam games has the f*cking Shuffle Alliance. Hell, even X getting adds, or the Wing Boys finally getting finished would have made me change my mind, but nope, CE all the way it seems. I've flat out forgotten Unicorn was even featured in this game for a while because of how little exposure they're giving it by comparison. Before anyone makes the argument "CE haz mor!!!1111!!!11!" I said "exposure" which is different from representation. Unicorn hasn't gotten a new revealed add since Angelo's Geara Zulu, and only now did we get the Banshee's gameplay video. Meanwhile, the CE timeline as a whole has been pumping out adds and videos consistently. It's not hard to forget about Unicorn when it gets no attention. Either way, my patience has been tested, and thus far gone unrewarded. So, I won't be upset if I have to skip this game. Edited by Master Omega, Sun Nov 17, 2013 8:48 pm.

I'm not even a huge Seed fan, but some of these adds, the Buster, Calamity and Chaos specifically, are pretty great. I'd be willing to bet a lot of money that we will see the BuCUEs and LaGOWE. We have the Gaia. If Koei went through the work of getting as qudruped working, they're gonna extend that to the grunts. The BuCUE is also one of the most iconic suits in Seed period. They were like the second coming of Acquy back in 03. Edited by Joshelplex, Mon Nov 18, 2013 7:07 pm.

They were Jet Windams. That does remind me though, I guess we should probably operate under the assumption of Neo's Windam being in?

Well it was pretty much just a purple Windam. Ah, my fault there. Didn't mean to call them Aile. I spent way too much time looking at the Strike and Strike Rouge. |

It's just a matter of it if gets a unique moveset given Neo.Mu's general popularity. |

Hmm right, I guess it still doesn't totally confirm that every units appearing in previous game would still be playable or not. Devil Gundam in particular is greatly in limbo, it would be totally immobile unless they finally decide to switch to its final form. On Neo's Windam, yeah maybe I can think it has a chance to get included as a Class 2, but what's concerning is remaining number of slots available. As long as they still consider alternate colors as separate suits, the roster is getting occupied faster than we thought. Maybe the only way they could properly add Neo's Windam and Waltfeld custom Gaia Gundam would be if they consider at least another pair of alternate-colored suits (like Gundam Mk-II & its Titans color) to be classified as a single MS in the roster. |

Making the alt coloured versions of suits as just costumes would be the smartest. There's no reason to have 3 Qubeleys and 2 MKIIs. It opens the door for a lot of extra units too, like getting Talgeese 1 or the other custom Gelgoogs and Zakus.

I disagree entirely. Rezin certainly shouldn't suffer just because she has an ace custom of a mass production suit. Also, Johnny and Char are wildly different pilots with wildly different fighting styles. Just because you don't like them is no reason for them to take a backseat. I agree about the Quebeley, but just because Puru Two needs the Quin Mantha. |

Well they could have the alternate colored version include extra stats and moves if you're using it while occupying a single slot. |

Gundam MK.II/Gundam MK.II (Titans) have the same moveset, just inverted SP attacks; same goes for the 3 Qubeleys. In that kind of case, alternate colors would be better and would open the way to color swaps for other MS. |

Yeah, having three Qubeleys that have the exact same moveset doesn't make a whole lot of logistical sense. The color swaps for Haman (White), Puru (Purple), and Puru Two (Red) would be what you'd just need to do, other than coding a few stat modifiers for the Qubeley's color that is used. |

Rezin will never get a unique moveset. She;s not popular or iconic, and neither is her suit. Literally the best she can hope for is for her Geara Doga to be a colour clone of the regular one. Char and Jonny may be different, but one is a hell of a lot more popular than the other. The best Jonny will ever get is his suit being a clone of Char's. The entire reason you'd want these things to become costumes of other suits is specifically so they get in. They will never be able to justify that kind of effort on these characters, having their suits be colour swaps of others at least guarantees them a spot. |

Yeah, go ahead and stop saying that my opinion regarding Rezin is wrong. There is no such thing as right or wrong, fact or fiction, so just stop. Because I really don't have the time to argue with you about such trivial things. If you were to word it as an opinion, rather than an attack on mine, then I would drop it, but as it stands you are acting like nothing more than a typical bully. Also, you are proven wrong as far as Johnny is concerned by the fact that HE ALREADY HAS A UNIQUE MOVESET! |

Jonny's "unique" moveset wasn't actually unique. it was Char's Gelgoog's old movest from DWG1. It got overhauled in DWG2, but then the DWG1 moveset was incorporated back into DWG3 Char Gelgoog as extensions of the new attacks. Again, all Jonny could ever hope for was being a clone of Char.
