Hi guys !!! This is the SM4/SW4 Rare Weapon Guide. These weapons were translated by Divine Justice and myself. This thread will be constantly modified and anyone from the staff who wants to edit it can go right ahead Most of the mission names will not be translated since you'll read them as the original text. However, once the game comes out overseas and the mission names are translated, then I or someone from the staff will edit them. PeJ will also be helping out with his videos for further assistance. If you need help getting the weapons, ask PeJ. If you need clarification, ask DJ. Instead of adding additional guides in separate posts, this post will instead be edited. So please dont ask us where the other guides are. Just look back to this post please Of course, in the case that there isnt enough space to add more to this post, then there will be a separate post made. All the rare weapons that we have found on the JP wiki should translated by 4/6/14. And, jsyk, the JP wiki is still incomplete so dont expect every single rare weapon guide to be translated by 4/6/14. Whenever the JP wiki is completely up to date with all the rare weapon requirements, that is when this guide will be 100 percent complete.
If you want to watch the video guides, click here and here
To find the correct battle if youre playing the imported version, refer to DJs translations guide, which is here
If you can't read the missions, please click here
If you're confused by what's in the pdf above this sentence, you basically have to complete all the missions in there. Some characters will be left out of here because their missions haven't been added yet.
I will be linking PeJs videos here last, as thatll take the longest time to do. If I dont link them here, Im sure a staff member or DJ will (Note to Staff: Please only edit this post if youre going to add something )
Also, most of these require you to defeat 1000 troops and complete all the missions, including the bonuses. Some require you to defeat certain officers and some require you to finish missions in a certain amount of time. Ill try to be as specific as possible, but if its not feasible enough, then let me know I know Ive mentioned it several times, but if any staff member would like to edit this, please feel free to do so.
Remember to play on Hard or Higher difficulty

SW3 Motonari Mori
Battle of Bicchu- Takamatsu Castle
The battle starts off with the mission to defeat Masanori Fukushima, before the "main general" reaches that point. Now if you head head through the base directly ahead of you, you will meet an officer and if you head south from that base you will run into Masanori. However, you are going to trigger the bonus mission of eliminating the two officers directly outside his post, but at the same time complete Masanori's mission, so the plan is to lure the two officers directly to where Masanori is and DO NOT let him leave his post. So, instead of beginning the battle by traveling through the base, you are going to turn around, take the furthest eastern part of the map and head south
(if you pause the game in the beginning of the stage, you will see that the two officers are directly across from Masanori, so luring them over to his position should be easy, if you take the detour).
Note: At the start of the battle, simply make whatever officer you have with you, defend their position, ideally make them defend the area in which you start.
Now once you have completed these two missions, again head directly east and towards the southern part of the map. There you will see two officers; eliminate them (the order in which you do so, does not particularly matter). Upon doing this, you should get a confirmation that you have completed a bonus mission.
By this time you should have defeated at least 300 enemies. Next you will continue through the door, directly above that base, eliminate ALL enemies on the way to the base that Nene appears in, then eliminate her INSIDE that base.
By this time you should have defeated at least 500 enemies. Now, this is where the fun begins. Remember to save your game after subsequent missions, just in case you need to do something over.
Okay, pay close attention as this is about to get very detailed. Once the door opens in Nene's base, after Kiyomasa and Kanbe share their dialogue, it becomes a race against time. Run through the base and make sure that the first bonus mission triggers, claiming that you need to beat the two officers in the base, but DO NOT harm them. Next you are going to head directly north towards Kiyomasa's base and into the base where the four paths intersect. Run into the base and towards the bridge, just to make sure that the two officers begin their sprint towards the "main commander." Before this happens though, MAKE SURE you send whatever officer you are with towards the base in the very beginning of the stage. Here, you will use the officer to intercept the two officers sprinting, thus triggering the trap mission.
Note: You have to manually control the second officer to activate the trap mission, but do not harm the two officers, instead switch and put your secondary character on defense. This will serve to halt their advance and allow you to clear the other missions.
Now begins the time attack!
By this time you will notice that three missions are currently active (the southern most bonus mission, the center bonus mission and the special trap mission), now what you are going to do is head directly south and complete the southern most, bonus mission.
From here, head directly north into Kiyomasa's base and eliminate him. By now you should have around 700-800 kills and another mission should be active. The Mitsunari and Yoshitsugu mission should appear requesting that you eliminate the both of them and head towards the enemy main camp. First you will need to clear the central most missions (the 4 way intersection) and the trap mission (the two officers trapped at the top of the map).
From here on focus on getting to 1000 kills and eliminate Yoshitsugu and Mitsunari IN THAT RESPECTIVE ORDER. ALSO make sure to clear the map of every single officer from this point on. (if you have done the missions in their respective order and completed them as I have suggested, the officers left on the battlefield should coincide with Yoshitsugu and Mitsunari, so it should be pretty easy).
Again, this is a TIME ATTACK MISSION. You must eliminate Mitsunari and every single officer on the map by the time Kanbe appears and you MUST meet him inside the base he is in at the start of the battle. If you have met all these conditions the Gold Weapon box should appear once the last mission is given, which is to eliminate Kanbe Kuroda. Eliminate Kanbe and Hideoyoshi, complete the stage and you should receive your much sought after and well deserved Motonari Mori Special Weapon.
SW4 Otani Yoshitsugu
Stage: Unification Chapter - Battle of Sekigahara (Western Army)
Conditions:
Must trigger the 小早川の裏切り (Kobayakawa's Betrayal) mission before 10 minutes.
This is based on the jp wiki and I am unsure if these are the exact requirements but fulfilling these gives me his weapon every single time.
The following were done before the mission above triggers: 1) Yoshitsugu must obtain 1000 KO's 2) All accessible officers must be defeated (only the 7 locked-up officers should be remaining) 3) Complete all bonus missions and main missions prior 4) Health maintained at green
You have 7 missions to complete before Hideyaki's betrayal: Main Missions: 黒田隊を破れ 空弁当 正則の特攻 東軍動く Bonus Missions: 宇喜多との共闘 小西との共闘 動け島津
The time limit is VERY tight. And it starts hectic already as you are forced to switch between Yoshitsugu and your partner character. There's also a lot of dialogue lag.
*Also, about Bonus Missions in this stage involving killing targetted officers. You can kill the targetted officers ahead of time before the mission even triggers. Please keep this in mind as you can kill them without having to wait for the mission to trigger.
This is how I got it: 1) Yoshitsugu starts at the southwest of the map, your partner is at the northwest. Switch to your partner first as the first mission will spawn there. Also, we can complete all of the missions for your partner in one go.
2) The 黒田隊を破れ mission will spawn up in the north. Quickly kill the first officer you encounter, then the flagman, then quickly kill the three targetted officers. Sweep every officer up in the general area NOW.
3) Now at this point you'll see a lone ally officer named 宇喜多秀家 at the northeast corner. Rush there and two officers will spawn from the base. This will trigger the Bonus Mission (宇喜多との共闘). Kill them and your partner is done. Switch back to Yoshitsugu.
4) Now, start racking up some kills and kill the officer down there where you start. Now approach the lone ally officer at the southernmost tip base. He will betray you and trigger the mission (空弁当). You need to kill 300 enemies within the time limit. Don't kill the officer immediately so more enemies can spawn. If you run out of enemies to kill, switch to your partner and finish off the quota.
5) You'll notice another ally of yours (named 小西行長) at the east side of the map in front of the door of the middle southeastern base fighting an impossible battle. Rush there and kill the officer he's fighting quickly. This is Bonus Mission (小西との共闘).
6) Masanori and a generic officer should have gone out of the base just south of your position as you were rescuing 小西行長. They bring with them mission (正則の特攻). The red line should be gone by now. Kill them both quickly.
7) Now this is where it gets fun. The central gates will open and you gain access to the central plains. The mission (東軍動く) will trigger, where you need to kill a bunch of generals before they reach the main camp. Don't mind them for now as Mitsunari and your partner character should be blocking them in the mid-north base. You MUST start racking up KO's as it is actually the one that will take MUCH of your time.
8) Rush to the second base from the left of the map and kill the two generals blocking the Shimazu's way. That was actually Bonus Mission (動け島津). And that concludes all of the required missions.
9) Now rack up your 1000 KO's. DO NOT kill the targetted generals yet and allow enemies to spawn. Grit through their attacks and don't mind them following you. Spam Godspeed, use your musou. Just get those 1000 KO's first. Once you get 1000 KO's, kill every general you can find on the screen before killing the last targetted officer.
10) It's not over yet. 3 reinforcements will spawn in the surrounding bases in the central plains. You have roughly 10-30 seconds of dialogue lag to hunt them down before Ieyasu orders the cannons, Hideyaki betrays you, and spawns the mission (小早川の裏切り), which holds the rare weapon.
Sanada Nobuyuki
Stage: Sanada Chapter - Siege of Osaka Castle (Eastern Army) *This stage is different from the Siege of Osaka Castle in the Unification Chapter. Make sure you are playing the Sanada Chapter version.
You need to trigger the main mission (豊臣の最期) within 10 minutes of battle start
Also, it seems the bonus mission (良妻の支え) is needed, which is only triggered if you are playing Ina. So it seems you need to have Ina as your partner here. I tried using a different partner, and the bonus mission(良妻の支え) didn't show up. I fulfilled all other conditions, and the rare weapon did not show up. I guess it makes sense since you can only play the stage as Nobuyuki and Ina in Story Mode.
The following must also be fulfilled before the above mission appears: 1) Nobuyuki gets 500 KO's 2) Your partner HAS to be Ina, and her life should be >50% 3) You need to have killed all generals outside the castle 3) Nobuyuki's health maintained in Green
These 5 missions must be completed before triggering Hideyori's escape: Main Missions: 前線援護 大筒を守れ 秀忠の危機 真田丸攻略 Bonus Mission: 良妻の支え *only triggered if Ina is the partner or player controlled
Here's what to do: 1) At battle start you have a BIG morale zone in front of you. At the same time the main mission (前線援護) will appear and wants you to kill 4 officers at the frontlines to protect Kanetsugu and Muneshige (prevent either of them to reach <50% health). Quickly kill 4 flag captains to kill the morale zone, then slaughter the 4 officers. You need to be quick as Kanetsugu and Muneshige are made of paper here.
2) Once you complete the mission, go the the east and kill the two generals by the gate. Inahime should be at the northwest gate already. Switch to her and kill the two generals there as well. This is bonus mission (良妻の支え).
3) The main mission (大筒を守れ) will begin. You have 3 minutes to prevent any enemy general to enter either of the two garrisons highlighted in the south. This is an excellent time to rack up 500 KO's. Raze everything in your path. Kill each and every general that pops up in the center field.
4) Around the 1 minute-mark for the above mission, Kunoichi will appear in the center of the map. Quickly get to her and kill her ASAP. This is main mission (秀忠の危機)
5) Once main mission (大筒を守れ) is over, wait at the front doors of Osaka Castle. Yukimura will come out, and the main mission (真田丸攻略) will commence. Kill him then rush to to the northmost point of the map, where Hideyori is.
6) Make sure to reach Hideyori (the enemy boss) as soon as possible as the main mission (豊臣の最期) will appear at this point. If you fulfilled all of the above conditions, this mission will carry your rare weapon. Kill him then proceed to finish the stage.

Looks good But shouldn't okuni be in the SW1 section? I don't think it was on the wiki, so no, I didn't put it there. You'll have to wait for her's to be added. How long that'll take is unknown. I will start translating everyone who was added in SW2 tomorrow. I'm taking a 24 hour break for now.

Are the kill/life requirements just for the character you're getting the weapon for or for both characters?

Are the kill/life requirements just for the character you're getting the weapon for or for both characters? Oh never mind. I get it. No. It's just for that one character.

No need to do it now, but a story stage indicator would help. Ie, Nobunaga's weapon is on the 7th stage of Oda's story right? So, Oda-7 or something like that.

No need to do it now, but a story stage indicator would help. Ie, Nobunaga's weapon is on the 7th stage of Oda's story right? So, Oda-7 or something like that. The wiki only had the name of the stage, the requirements, and the missions. There was no stage indicator, and since I am without the game (for now, until Saturday or next Monday), there will be no stage indicators. Of course, that's only for now Like I said in my first post in this thread, this guide is still incomplete, and it will probably stay that way till A. Koei translates it. or B. The wiki adds the info and I and/or DJ translate it and add it to the guide.

You can cross list that stuff in my guide. Full stage lists are all available there, so it shouldn't be difficult to obtain. Most of the stages for rare weapons are already filled out in my guide as well.

Then why are several characters there an left blank?

Because they haven't been translated yet. Either that, or I was rushing the project by accident without knowing it. I'll edit it tomorrow

Did you not see the big red letters that said to read everything? There should be a Google Doc in the first post I made to this thread. There should be a line that says, "If you can't read the missions, please click here."

Motonari's weapon requires a very specific sequence of completing the missions, in order to make the trap mission appear (which is the most tricky part of acquiring the weapon).
I would gladly give a walkthrough on how to acquire his weapon and how to make this elusive mission appear, while completing the other missions in the allotted time. Actually, most of his acquiring the weapon is a race against time and requires fleet footing during the battle and very specific placement on the battlefield.

It's in Japanese because it won't do you any good if it's in English because A. It's in Japanese and B. English version isn't out yet

I prefer someone to make a video if he/she can, because the google translator is terrible. You can ask PeJ about that PeJ is currently working on video guides. I will add them to the guide once the guide is fully complete. So you have two options: A. Wait until next week. B. Ask PeJ

Yes ... I tried to get many weapons but it's very painfull :s I think some missions are bugged and diosn't appear properly.
ie : Kotaro Fulma :
If you speed too much, a bonus mission on the left with 2 officer doen't appear. Bonus mission for tadakatsu ... I really wonder when it appears. I tried to leave Ina ok, no mission bonuis for her fathger, I killed Ina : same thing.
So ...
I bought the guide to continue a little. Of course, I can try by myself but it was long. wiki explain nothing.

you need to be more clear in your translations. take what you said for the shingen guide-
- Quote:
-
4b. If you still dont have the weapon, then do all this again, but in 8 minutes.
nah son. it needs to be done in under 8 minutes. Tadakatsu also has a time limit of 10 minutes. keiji's stage is also listed wrong.
---
honestly, if anyone needs rare weapon help i'd keep an eye out for this person's youtube channel- http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCYBU30HvCwIGffuv60nuXw
so far he has videos for Yukimura, Nobunaga, Keiji, Mitsuhide, Kenshin, Noh, Kunoichi, Nobuyuki, Shingen, Masamune, Naotora, and Kai. follow the videos and you'll get the weapon.

Just an add.
For all rare weapons, it seems you must follow a path. (As I understand)
1 - Defeat normal officers in missions 2 - Clear all misions + onus missions
Bu there are some point :
1/ You have to defeat teh heroes in a certain order 2 / The bonus mission for rare weapon must be the last before the boss

It was like that for Nobunaga weapon It seems if you clear the weapon are mission without finishing the others, the mission offers nothing but a normal weapon.
