I just found out about the Plans info and, if true, this is likely the most awesome news I've heard about this game! For one, It means no one will be able to complain, myself included, that their favorite MS is "underpowered" due to having low max stats! Even if only the strongest class MS can be fully maxed-out in all stats, that's fine with me! I'll definitely try to max-out all stats for Wing Zero and Strike Freedom as they're my two favorite MS, then I'll max-out Wing Zero Custom and Freedom (after I get the Wing Zero Custom DLC)! I'm really hoping that I'm not jumping the gun here, but the sound of being able to max-out the stats of a person's favorite MS, plus everything else is just incredible! Good job, Koei! So, are the stat caps universal then? It felt a lot more appropriate for the suits to have different caps though, there's no reason for say, 00 to be as good at shootign as Cherudim, or for the Hambrabi to have as high thrust guage as The O. |

Yeah. I enjoyed the fact that all the units had differing stats, strengths and weaknesses in their stats. gave them mooore... authenticity. made them feel special and unique, and capable in their own ways. |

I'm glad to see this finally happen. While Koei might still screw up moveset balance, being able to max out everything certainly helps weaker suits compete. Plus, it's just hilarious to plow through enemies with a Gouf O_O. Certainly saves me trouble of reconfiguring MS stats, those always end up being nothing but a chore. |

With everyone being able to get max stats, hopefully it doesn't take too long so you can max multiple suits, it means a suit will be determined by their moveset. |

It seems like most of the game's data is comprised of Cutscenes, 51 of them; 8GB worth including the 6 Cast Rolls. All are for Official Mode I believe. So that makes the actual game around 3.7-4GB itself. Good news: All BGM isn't multipieced like the last game, which means an easy BGM rip this time! Bad news: I won't be able to get my hands on it until Monday I believe, so the BGM rip will come Monday maybe. If the data structure is the same order as the listing as the Sound Library, maybe I could release it sooner. I just need to get a listing of the total BGM now. Composer Info:

So I spent a couple of hours on Official Mode today, and I have to say the game plays so much better than the last 3 that it's not even funny. The movement is so different, almost like they're using a new engine. First of all running is very slow, very very slow. The boost gauge also runs out quickly until you do some major upgrades. So don't expect to be zipping around the battlefield for a while. The Boost Attack has a LOT more range now, it literally sends you flying across the screen. Enemies are hit in groups, like Basara. When you hit one enemy, a whole group takes the damage and is juggled around. The anime stills look spectacular. I imagine this is how The Origin is going to look next year, very new and crisp yet still retains that old school art style. The music is much better than the dinky remixes they've used before, it almost sounds like the official anime music now. Took a minute to figure out, but to use the Charge Cancel, you have to HOLD the T button while you're already performing a charge attack. The timing is tough on some of them though, you might end up canceling the charge and robbing yourself of some damage. Picking up one of the Partner Strike radios starts a 30 second countdown, when it ends your allied warship will launch a missile attack on your area. This gives you a little time to move to a new field or near an Ace to take advantage of the attack. You can fight warships face to face by jumping up to them. Apparently when you jump in a warship's airspace you automatically hover. The ships are much smaller than they're supposed to be though, so don't expect anything spectacular. Fighting the Gaw in the MSG Official Mode was pretty tough, they start shooting missiles at you as soon as you get in the air and of course when you're hit you get knocked back to the ground. The stages are the best yet. They have multiple objectives without feeling like they're running you back and forth for no reason. The environments look great, large buildings and convincing roads, and you can even step on the cars and tanks with satisfying explosions. Much more detailed and thought out than any of the previous games. The lock-on feature is very convenient, since there are so many enemies on screen it can get tough to pick out one of the commanders from the crowd. Edited by Wild Lion, Fri Dec 20, 2013 1:27 am.

If anyone who has the game now wouldn't mind posting the game's original BGM listing in the Sound Library. Everything after Kimi wa Boku ni Niteiru, I might be able to pump it out late tonight. I guess this is the definition of half-hearted promotion, eh ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tksch_3_m5M Found a gameplay video of Rau le Creuset in Providence Gundam here, but as he's still just Level 1, we won't know yet if it's Class 1 or 2. (well Providence Has to be a Class 1, right?) There's a couple of new features I discovered here, both explained or not. You can now set the battle BGM before a battle starts as well (previously you can only change after the battle started) When ally ace MS are struggling there will be a HELP icon on the map and a green ring will surround the ally ace. When you get close to them you can recover their HP. But this is only applicable to MS, so ally MAs & Warships won't get healed even if you come to rescue. Anyway got a rumor that's still unconfirmed, but be prepared. Spoiler: click to toggle Oh and about the new early release videos, I haven't found the Chinese video links yet... or maybe they don't care as much about these anymore now that they already got their copies..? I kind of expected so many new additions to have limited movesets. Still sad that the Gott and the Zeong apparently haven't been promoted, but the Zeong's probably gonna be super broken again. Speaking of which; are land/space limitations back? |
