Wing's White Knight

If it's true that they removed that crap-spectacle that was "random pilot in random MS", then my already extreme interest in this game just shot up about a million times higher! I absolutely loathed playing DW:G2 and DW:G3 after unlocking that terrible "feature"! I mean, I could've dealt with it if it had been an option in the Options Menu that you could turn on/off, but being forced to see Heero show up without Wing Zero or vice-versa, or seeing somebody like M'Quve instead of Kira show up in Strike Freedom was just impossible to take! Rant over. Anyway, I love the sound of that "feature" being removed, if true! Also, From the description of Wing Zero(TV/Custom)'s & Epyon's Burst Mode: ZERO System, I'd wager that Heero's and Milliardo's Burst Mode is ZERO System Adaptation? Cause I'm pretty sure it isn't a Skill. If true, Then Koei finally got it right as that would mean that both Wing Zero(TV/Custom) and Epyon are only at their best when piloted by Heero or Milliardo! Anyhow, If just these two things are true along with the other Pros of the game, then they clearly blow away any of the Cons for me! That's all I stopped by to say. -- Signed: ~Toramaru, "Hatred leads to nothing, and revenge brings only emptiness..." |

Zero System Adaption is a better sounding burst/skill than *snickers* Scythe of Death. but if ZSA just improves the effects of ZS, then does that mean the two pilots are worse in other units? |

I actually checked on the effects of ZSA, and apparently the basic effect is that it grants an attack buff, but the translation isn't perfectly clear. I might have to post the Pilot Burst modes since BlackKite is busy. Pilot Burst Skills Edited by Master Omega, Sun Jan 5, 2014 12:36 am.

Hello, I am new to this forum as you can tell. I mostly joined due to the SGM coverage you guys had. I attempted to read all the pages before commenting but only managed to get through like 60 before skipping lots Can someone give me a quick rundown or their "review" of the good/bad aspects of this game? From what I read I could gather the following: good: -there are more suits/characters + -most suits have newer combos and/or skills + -story mode (official mode) is back + -pilots no longer appear in random suits as AI's + -custom soundtrack feature is awesome + -open space battle return + -maps seems a little bigger and wider + (no more narrow corridors from what I've seen) --------------------------------------------------------------- good or bad depending on your preferences: -the return to 'realistic graphics' of DWG 1 and DWG 2 (I personally liked the cell shading of the 3rd game quite a lot so this style is a downgrade for me) -SEED sponsored this game's development haha! In all seriousness though, there is a lot of SEED here -paid DLC returns -story mode tells us the story of gundam 0079, Zeta and Char's Counterattack again (getting a little tired of it) --------------------------------------------------------------- bad (in my opinion at the very least): -lack of a dedicated online mode (yes, Musou 3 had a pretty poor online, but I really enjoyed it and at least it was something) -not too many characters got new art or at the very least new dialog (imo Domon still looks like **** in these games. He is such a likable character in G gundam but here they make him scream everything like he's going super saiyan) -lack of new alternative costumes yet an abundance for some [EDIT] -lack of special fields during missions. In DWG 3 we had fields that shot missiles, fields that had a cannon shoot at you and 'home-base' fields with the boss etc. -environments are still boring and bland (poor textures) -lack of certain characters (we still dont have Quatre and Wufei, like seriously?) -we are still missing some 'essential suits' (my favorite SEED suit is the Savior, yet its the only one from seed they skipped lol...other examples are Sandrock and Nataku) -mission mode (ultimate mode) still lacks voice acting -the mobile suit lab became complicated to use again (at least that's my impression) -post game is very very hard (unbalanced for higher difficultly) [EDIT] -getting good plans is very very hard and rare [EDIT] --------------------------------------------------------------- I believe thats all I can think of at the moments for the pro's and con's based on what I read in this forum and the gameplay footage online. If I missed something, please do mention it or type up a mini review if you own the game. Thanks you very much for reading |

Some pilots got the lion's share of alt costumes. Marida, for instance, has like three or four extra, and so does SEED-Kira. Even some of the Partner-only NPCs have alt costumes. A true con is how annoying endgame can be. Everything takes no damage and is impossible to approach normally, forcing the gameplay to revolve around whittling enemies down with low damage Charge Shot Cancels until they get Powered Down for you to do only like two Dash combos before you have to retreat and do it over. It's making every suit play in a very one-dimensional fashion. |

Ugh, this seems like it'll be annoying. For some reason I'm getting the weird feeling like this game is trying hard to be Gundam Musou 2.5 (I mean the same problems seem to be returning). I read a bit further into the discussion and I see people are speculating that there might be an expansion or 'fixed' re-release because the game is so broken and incomplete

This. A thousand times over! My Mini-Review It definitely isn't made as good as the last game. There was no challenge in the game due MAs being playable (8 Star difficulty Missions are too easy / MAs = Easy Mode). I've actually had the Gallery loading freeze the game one time. I had to hard reboot my PS3 because of it. I've been playing 3 since 100% completion, and so glad to get this game out of my system with it's nonsense grinding. I definitely don't think it was worth the price tag, compilation release or not. I'd wait a year or two and get it cheap. I plan on doing that for the Vita version maybe. There's a ton of lag due to the so called, "graphics" getting a boost. But 3's was way better. So the PS3 doesn't run at 60 FPS always, feels like it's better suited for the Vita. I will be getting DLC if it can make the game better than it already is. Debating on it anyway. This is the worst installment of the series by far. Omega Force needs to go. Hello Ambimunch, welcome You can read this topic to see how people in this forum are rating the game.http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/topic/7139416/1/
By the way the cannon artillery firing thing is still here, but they're now launched from warships. And they can also bombard anywhere they want. But thankfully it's not the 1-shot-capture missile thing. And there are still 2 kinds of fields that have special effects: 1 produces Raid Captain grunts which can easily take fields most of the time, and 1 gradually recovers health of the units in the faction occupying it. Speaking of which, when I see Japanese boards, apparently many people do recommend this for those who are planning to get it on PSV. After the disappointments they had with DW8XL & WO3U for having clunky framerate, few and disappearing enemies, and audio tearing, Shin GW has almost none of them, so many of them think this is the best Warriors game for PSV so far. Well maybe it's a good thing that I got the PSV version first before PS3 version ![]() Anyway I finally got to unlock the TGW operation and thus the ability to change the difficulty stars, so maybe I'll start testing the theory of farming S rank plans now with my usual Gundam DX |

Nigoli, I honestly don't know why you keep dissing Omega Force for "ruining" Gundam Musou, they developed DWG3 as well. Not that hard to look up. The game still sucks though. Edited by Master Omega, Sun Jan 5, 2014 6:00 am.

They're wrong, you can look at the Koei Wiki or even Omega Force's profile alone and it's there. The blame for this game lies partially in the hands of Bandai as well, since they make most of the marketing decisions as the publisher. The game was rushed, just like DWG3 was (all the cut characters/MS, poor stage design, poor story that clearly wasn't thought through, mission structure and the friendship system having unclear methods of increasing for some characters like Scirocco and Haman). It makes sense in this manner because of Unicorn near completion and the HD Remasters of SEED and Destiny, so both companies found it beneficial to push the game out to market, thinking that SEED, Destiny and Unicorn would sell it on its own. You're clearly wrong. Omega Force was involved with 3's development. This one doesn't have Omega Force attached to it, and it shows. The only reason it didn't turn into a mess like Shin Hokuto Musou was that they didn't remove all the good stuff Omega Force laid out in the first place. |

I think more research needs to be done here, and before I trust Wiki's again. Especially the wrong information that Gundam Wikia has been editing on their page for the game now. I had to fix their botch ups for certain things because certain people can't read posts the whole way through. Unless I can't blame someone for this game not being as good as the last game. I'm going to blame Omega Force, since 2 was not as good as 1 either. This was fixed from 2 and easier to get relations going, and it was global as well. Simply playing as the Character you needed relations for could increase the relation too as well as having that character as a Partner. I was able to complete 3 offline in 47 hours. So this isn't an issue, unless certain people are impatient with the system. I'd rather take this any day than 10k Kills for Suits and 5-7k Kills for Pilots for each Card in the lackluster "Card Collection". I've personally done both and it took me 47 hours in a second playthrough for 3, and SGM took me around 140 hours for 100% Completion. Edited by Nigoli, Sun Jan 5, 2014 6:18 am.

If the Options don't help, try the Content Manager on the PS Vita, and connect it with the PS3 like that with the Vita. You should be able to just copy and replace; vice-versa from the PS3's saves like that. It's all done through the Vita I believe. |

You can blame Koei Tecmo as they handled this game. Omega Force worked on the first 3 Gundam Musou games, Hokuto Musou, and Kaizoku Musou. The progression from Gundam Musou 1 to 3 is pretty constant and noticeable with 3 shining in gameplay and only really suffering from weak map design as far gameplay's concerned. They did not work on either Shin Hokuto Musou or Shin Gundam Musou. Both products of which are noticeably inferior. I believe they didn't work on Kaizoku Musou 2 either, but like Gundam Musou the foundation wasn't spat upon anywhere near as bad as what happened to Shin Hokuto Musou. |

I just checked the official websites for DWG3 and SGM, neither say Omega Force is attached which is REALLY weird. Unless this means that Omega Force is simply labeled under Koei Tecmo games when working on certain projects. As for the Friendship system, I thought it was bad in 2 as well, but in 3 it was no less tedious. Turns out that you have to befriend other characters before maxing out certain pilots. I tried maxing out Scirocco, having him as my partner for 20+ stages while he was near maxed friendship, but never managed to get him to cross the threshold until I befriended Reccoa and Sarah. I'm not the only one to experience that issue either. DWG3 was poor in terms of structure, whereas this game has nothing big to draw me in and is filled with tedium beyond the past three games. @Daosiying: I certainly agree on the gameplay part. 3 was not inferior in terms of gameplay. It's easily the most playable of the previous 3 Gundam games. But, I hated everything else associated with it, like story, missions, maps, total content. Options -> Data Sharing Use アップロード Upload to put up the data you want to share from a console, and ダウンロード Download to get the data in the other console ![]() Anyway I just checked the credits for GW3 & Shin GW, and both of them still have Omega Force in the end Development part. This is what I can get from GW3's credits by the way ![]() I have this hunch that they're not putting their best efforts either because they must be more focused at the 10th anniversary of a certain part in the mainstream Warriors
