I honestly wouldn't mind removing Official Mode all together, because it just serves as an excuse to flood the game with adds from that particular show, as we saw in SGM.

Unfortunately, we saw what happened with removing it. . .

There has to be some kind of middle ground, or at least Koei and Bandai have to put an effort into their original mode. The best potential model is along the lines DWG1's style, in which smaller factions of 4 main characters and a few side characters follow their own unique paths, separate from everyone else.

As for the Mission Mode, make it a separate mode that is similar to the challenges in the main warriors games, but of course with the usual style it's gone for. This could be the primary mode for Online play as well. After all, I do see tons of replay value in Mission mode, just so long as it doesn't intrude on the story like it did in 2 and 3.


The way I see it, we're all tired of official mode due to:

1) It being redundant (enough of Universal Century already)
2) Its not 100% accurate in terms of plot
3) Maps also lack accuracy

I think official mode needs to remain, but make it focus on 2-3 Gundam Universes but with great precision. For example, remove Gundam 0079, Z, ZZ and Chars Counterattack (we played it enough times already)---instead, put a new gundam story that hasn't been in these games yet. Its quality over quantity, so include only 2 or 3 arcs, but make them very accurate representations of the shows. An easy example would be Wing, G Gundam and AGE. Focus on only those 3, but don't skip any major battle and model the environments after the anime battles. Im sure any gundam fan would be perfectly okay with having less content as long as its 'new' and well made.

And in terms of mission mode, don't make it too complicated. As long as its not a chore to play them, I don't see a problem. By having larger environments and better structured maps, playing in a good looking field with lots of free space (cut the narrow corridors already) and completing various mission objectives is good entertainment in my books. Heck, GM3's story mode is a great example of a unique mission mode for a future game.

I hear Buster is really good. And legend isnt necessarily bad, just Providence is much better.

and you forgot normal Strike.

Uh, Strike was not forgotten, it's in the "good" range.

Buster is a one trick pony, and really only handles crowds well, having a much slower attack speed than other MS. There's also a lack of effective damage dealing, especially comparing it to the Cherudim, which is far and away better in its particular specialization. It's average, nothing more.

Legend is bad. The unit has piss poor damage due to being incapable of focusing on targets for long. The one real godsend is its CSP, which makes it playable. But on any higher difficulty, I doubt this thing would be able to survive. Plus, the suit suffers from a surprising lack of coverage in some of its attacks, which you wouldn't expect from the successor to the Providence.

Except it also leaves itself open to attacks because it is stationary. That range only works if you can keep an opponent pinned at that range, and only it they're alone. Plus, as I said, its attacks are slow. It's very difficult to juggle an opponent on high star missions because of how much of a delay Buster has between attacks.

A combination of just really bad everything. It has coverage down, but nothing it has packs a punch at all, even when its stats are boosted adequately the thing might as well be firing BB Guns. Plus, its attacks tend to scatter its opponents, so you can't effectively deal with them even with its better crowd clearing attacks.

I wouldn't go that far, but it's certainly not a great unit for its particular class.

Some Class 3s play pretty well, but I'd still say Calamity is a better option if only because it has more moves available to it.

If you guys need an analysis on the other CE units that haven't gotten attention recently, I can provide a quick summary.

Raider actually looks good. It hits hard, and both its C4 and GSP are all-purpose killers.

Raider Gundam

This should give you a good look at its moveset, though the difficulty is of course not very high.

The weakest point I could find with it is how slow it is when it strikes. Hopefully there's a skill or equipment that can handle that.

I would also like to point out that Raider is THE most annoying non-MA enemy to fight in the entire game. Unless there's some other nightmarish opponent I don't know about, literally no one else procs Powered Down status on you as often as Raider does.

Any fast hitting unit could be considered annoying. I've always hated fighting F91 and Master for that very reason.

... I haven't been on here in a while but I see one things. everyone or at least most people are takeing apart everything about this game and is not just enjoying the dam game cause its looks good but it aint perfect. im sure the next one will be better but the game looks great honestly
also can someone tell me if the strike freedom, destiny, burning are good cause they are my favorite.

How is Rezin's Geara Doga in the overall scope of things? Does it still have the best Class 3 stats? Also is its range improved at all?

To anyone starting out and doesn't enjoy the SEED stuff and it's Official Mode just starting the game.

One thing I can suggest is turning the BGM and Voice volume off, and skipping every cutscene. This is what I did. Since a lot of the garbage content in this game is not worth viewing, especially if you just wanted more unlocks for Ultimate Mode if you were wanting to play that. But they treated it more as a side thing. Ultimate Mode just doesn't feel like a Mission Mode at all.

If you also wanted to save time, don't get Medals now, and wait until you get Star change settings once Shin no Gundam Musou is unlocked.

And again, it's too bad there hasn't been a good Musou since 3. -_-

That's because the game doesn't offer anything new, nor is it wholly enjoyable as a result. There's plenty of negative with the game, which is why many are picking it apart, though BlackKite has probably made the best evaluation of the game. I'd say check out BK's review in the Best and Worst topic. It gives you a run down of the positives and negatives that come with this game.

As for the three you mentioned, SF and Burning are ridiculously powerful, and Destiny is even better in this game than it was in 3.

Unfortunately I haven't seen anything on it. Been trying to find the starting stats for every unit. However, most class 3s seem to have no changes from 3.

I actualy found it lol ty though. also from what I can see by what they are saying . not much bothers me lol . my only concern though is getting parts and upgradeing suit idk how that is going to go down but everything else im fine with.

There's also my Mini-Review from a critical stand point, updated the post after Platinum Trophy status; and not having played anything but Gundam Musou 1(&SP)~3 and this game.

And there's only like 3 things I liked about the game. :D

I love the usage of Destiny's mirage colloid in this one. and Dat CSP.... Dat CSP.
