Are they seriously charging a full 60 for a digital, subbed release? Are they insane?

I'm posting again because I finished Medal clean-up a couple weeks ago and I took a break from this game for awhile. Just yesterday, I decided to load it up again and I immediately tackled the final mission of the Shin no Gundam Musou Operation on 8-Star Hard with Wing Zero Custom. It took me three tries, had to readjust to the Musou-style gameplay(been playing Dragon's Dogma and Devil May Cry HD Collection), but I won... easier than the first time! I used Heero(Lv.50) in my Perfect-Max Wing Zero Custom with the following Skills: Ace Killer, Impulse, Snipe, Battle God, High Tension, & Concentration.

The truth is, on the third try, I discovered an easy strategy to fighting this "series" of one-on-one matches. Here's the trick, Aces don't have perfect-invincibility during SPs in this game, they may not take damage(not sure) and they don't flinch but the SPs can be cut-off with repeated attacks. This means that you can just avoid them and fire repeated C1s until you cut-off their SP and get in a few free shots while they're without their "Hyper-Armor". I also found that it's easy to dodge the 3-shot Super C1 of the enemies in this kind of one-on-one stage and get in a few C1 Machine Cannon shots from behind or the side due to the speed of the bullet-based C1(only tried this with Wing Zero Custom so far with maxed-out Machine Cannons). You can chip through the "Hyper-Armor" rather quickly this way to get a few shots in that flinch the enemy and, if you're quick enough, you can dash in to deliver a couple melee hits. You can also cause the enemy to enter Power-Down state, allowing you to deliver a series of aerial Dash-strings to build up some more-noticeable damage(especially with Battle God). When you get your SP gauge charged, look for an opportunity to use it on the enemy without them "ninja"-dashing out of the way(High Tension will increase the damage when the SP hits). I did get a little careless after I got to Musha Gundam(I'd already easily taken out Knight & Musha Mk.II) and ended up in low-health but still finished it off with little-to-no-difficulty. Sure, The method is slow(took me 5 minutes to clear the mission) and not very "stylish", but it works(did for me, anyway).

Also, I figured I'd mention a couple of other little tidbits: The "Counter"-skill from previous games is always available in this game, you can time your block to stagger the enemy and open them up to a solid combo(I've done this, personally, with Wing Zero(TV)). Also, I'm sure everyone's noticed, by now, that the "Piercing Shot"-skill from previous games is always active in this one.

I was a bit bored, so I decided to share this. Also, No dub doesn't bother me as I prefer the original Japanese anyway. OP:PW and OP:PW2 are sub-only and two of my absolute favorite games! :luffy:

At least it's better subbed-only than dubbed-only because my ears bled so much when I was playing DW:G2! Don't wanna go through that, ever again!

Also, I really just don't like dubbed-Warriors games(no offense, and I think the games should have the option for those that like the dubs). On the other hand, my PS3's Hard Drive is getting pretty full, so I don't like the fact that it's digital-only(like OP:PW and OP:PW2) but I'll likely pick it up at one point, probably during a special sale or after a price-drop as I've never paid full-retail for a digital-only game(I have OP:PW, OP:PW2, WO3, and Way of the Samurai 4). Well, I'm going to go play Shin GM some more. Later.

US Version Download only, EURO Version Retail & Download Version
So Play Asia does digital releases early? Or is this just for the EU version and they have it mislabelled?

My thoughts exactly. If that's the case, a part of me actually wonders if they are trying to make this bomb.

Well there is my message from youtube (US/Euro Trailer)

What I notice something as the US Version only get the Download Version via PlayStation Store, but the EURO Version will get the Retail and Download Version I know this feel wield "sort-off" it better getting the retail version to save lots of space but it will pay the shipping cost if anyone wanted the retail version, unless you stick with the Download Version (it was for me. The US Version it should have the retail version as well, seriously it unfair to others)

So, what do you think would be a fair price? I'm curious.

$30, or $40 at most. You should never charge full price when the game is a retail item sold digitally, and doubly so when you wont fully localize it.

I see, I can understand where you're coming from. I want to say I recall seeing somewhere that it was going to cost $49.99. Unfortunately I can't recall where I seen that. Then again, it kind of wouldn't surprise me if Koei did charge $59.99 for it. :|

Amazon in germany charges 49,99€ to pre-order (and says june 27th to be the release date) which would translate to $49.99 for the us. It's a first indication, though PSN prices can differ.

Are they going to include custom music/soundtrack for Dystany Warriors Gundam Reborn?

The released date for dynasty warriors Gundam reborn have been moved to 30/06/2014 (Koei of Europe announced it) "I know the reason because of Mario Kart 8 (Wii U) and Ace Combat Infinity (free to play PSN only)"

I wouldn't say Mario Kart is of any concern as it is on another console. Ace Combat is a namco product too so it could be deciding factor.

Can we avoid my trademark inheritance that comes with this series in turning off pilots running about in random suits. I like to complete all missions but generally this series' leaves me stuck with Ace enemies attacking me in grunt suits and old school pilots like Ramba Ral chasing me down in Newtype Gundams. Its a pet peev of mine and this time i would rather know in advance to whether i just outright avoid completing those battles.

I don't know exactly about disc version, but if we take a reference from the digital version, it should be around 10.9 GB.

Thankfully this time around there should be barely any random MS usages. Most of the time the pilots will be using their own respective accurate MS. :)

The only randomization that's activated here is where aces may occasionally use the original Gundams (Musha, Musha Mk-II, Knight) instead of their original suits, but that's only activated once you've cleared the final & hardest operation: True Gundam Warrior (should be True Dynasty Warrior Gundam in the upcoming localization)

27 June...lol, at that time i would most likely be playing Battride War 2 already, instead of purchasing/getting DWGR :) , that is, if i opted to pay more for the express shipping, which i sadly didn't have the budget to do so :kurokan:

I'll be importing the physical game from Europe, does anyone know where pre-orders are being accepted? I checked amazon UK but I didn't see a listing for this game yet? Amazon Germany has it, but wont the text be in German? So yeah, if anyone knows where I can buy the UK version online I'd appreciate it, thanks

TK Europe has confirmed that this game would only have Japanese voices with subtitles, so unfortunately there won't be any dubs here

I have a short Question for those, who have the game. I think i will get this and start to coop it with my Buddy. I heard or saw in some Vids, that there are some Suits like 00 Raiser already unlocked from the start. If i start a new Story for example the first MGS and coop it, will my friend have Access to These suits or not, cause i don't want him to have OP Suits in the beginning of the Story ^^

There will be suits such as 00 Raiser unlocked from the start and they are probably available in Coop official mode. however, assuming you haven't played the game yet, all the pilots in the game should start at level 1 and all the mobile suits in the game should only have basic plans. This means that none of the suits available from the start are even close to as strong as they can be yet. So yes, your friend would have access to these suits, but they shouldn't be OP/really strong by any means.

I think FA Unicorn has a better moveset and musou than Qan[T]. Plus, Gundam Unicorn's last episode was released already so take this as a little tribute.
