Ah right, was trying to unlock each medal on a battle for battle basis first rather than have to go back to them... i guess thats not an option sadly. Thanks for the response

So far I think this game has the best gameplay in the series. I have a few nitpicks, such as Burst mode being a bit too easy to spam in some instances, and the fact that the difficulty curve sky rockets when you hit 8 Stars, but other than that, the gameplay is generally solid.
I'm not a particular fan of the Seed focus but I'll just leave it at that. That topic has been beaten to death already. As for Rosamia's death, I think it was cut out because it wasn't in the original Zeta Gundam movies. Same goes for Four's death at Kilamanjaro. Frankly I think these are weak excuses to leave out content. Also, I don't understand why they didn't give us a Texas Colony stage for MSG. That stage was really neat in DWG 2, and it would have been nice to see it return. As for Unicorn, I wouldn't have minded it as much if they weren't so obviously lazy in making that Official Mode.
I think the problem with Ultimate Mode, other than the lack of cut scenes or voice overs, is the lack of direction when it comes to writing character interactions and story. My favourite Ultimate Mode scenarios are probably The Power of Newtypes, Earth Landing Operation, and The United Earth Sphere. I find those three at least try have a good story with some okay character interactions. There are others out there of course, but those are the ones I particularly like.
I'm not sure about the Season Pass DLC. As for raising Star Level, Clear all the Ultimate Mode scenarios and unlock the True Dynasty Warriors Scenario (you don't have to beat that scenario, just unlock it). Edit: Whoops. the thing is, it's not the cliffhanger ending that is problematic, it's the fact that they skipped episode 5(which was the most fun episode to watch, so many battles and new MS'es, and Shamblo) and went straight to 6(Banshee duel). and unlike SEED, Unicorn was just 7 episodes long, that short, the fights in the anime are not even half of the episode's length, and KT still skip a LOT of stuffs in it Edited by wodash, Thu Jul 31, 2014 3:09 am.

What suit are you using? Once you get into 8 Star missions, the suit makes all the difference. Edit: To be more specific, you want a suit that has some serious field clearing potential. You should also throw on Knockdown and Snap Decision for skills. If you have the God of War Skill, throw that on to. Also make sure you have a partner who is in a battleship. Other than that, your pilot can always make the difference to. The Combat Newtype Skill for example is really good at avoiding enemies on these difficulties. Except for the fact that MAs are not any more powerful or harder to be killed in than a MS, especially when both are fully upgraded. Same max stats and all. Really, I don't think this mission is that hard, and I don't think it really matters what MS you use as long as it's not Epyon or Susanowo(they have Melee-based C1s). I used my high-level Heero in my Perfect Maxed Wing Zero Custom and locked on then stayed at a distance, I'd dodge around and pick my opportunities to hit each opponent with a full-barrage of C1 shots. Some times, I'd let the enemy get close enough to start their SP attack which I'd get away from and unload with C1 shots again which would eventually cut off the SP and when the enemy entered Power-Down state, I'd dash in and do a full combo string on them, then get away from them before the Power-Down state ended. In my case, I cheaped out using Banagher equipped with Focus and just spammed the GP03's CSP where it pierces the Denbdrobium cannon into the enemy. Two shots equals one dead ace. The charge shot is also useful in keeping an enemy ace pinned down for a while as well as charging up the SP gauge. |

timing your specials is particularly important in 8 Star Difficulty Stages. You want to do it when your opponents are in the middle of attacking. This unfortunately means getting kinda close but that usually has to be the case. You want to trigger that brief stun animation that occurs when they are close enough to you triggering your special to be certain that you will hit them. That being said, GP02 isn't a bad choice for that stage. The reason I suggest Snap Decision is because a certain percentage of attacks won't do damage to you. It's luck based, but when C1 spam can potentially kill you, it can make all the difference. I'm also assuming you don't have any of the dlc units yet, which is why I haven't suggested anything like GP03 or WZ EW, both which make 8 Star missions extremely trivial. |

Sadly it does not. I got the complete bundle for my European physical copy and it only includes the 5 suits and some extra missions. I was super bummed about that (considering the NA full bundle DOES have the 2 pre-order dlc included, but the EU full bundle DOES NOT). I'm still looking for a way to get my hands on the EU dlc code for those two

Unlocking stuff in this game is frustrating. I dont mind the use each MS ten times or kill X amount of enemies with each pilot thing but unlocking the pilots themselves is all over place in regards to where and when. Then there is too many annoying unlock medal requirements... i mean just doing one where bronze required The O (but Paptimus cant be used) and Gold is Hizack (yet it cant be accessed either even though its a grunt suit - cant even remember who used one, Jerid maybe? but dont have yet either). I dunno... maybe i was spoiled with the all inclusive interlocking mode of DWG3 but Ultimate Mode again just looks half baked and the higher star missions are actually quite annoying in how steep the difficulty curves (meaning you aint got quite as much freedom as you would like with selected suits - some just aint a valid option compared to more OP efforts or the giant MAs) |

I agree completely. It gets hilariously bad with some pilots I have to unlock to. You need to clear a stage with Rick Dias to unlock Milliardo, except you can only play as CCA Amuro instead of Zeta Amuro in the stage in question, so you can't use Rick Dias until everyone can. You also can't unlock Destiny Kira until you beat a certain stage with Strike Gundam, but of course you can't play as Seed Kira in that stage and Mu La Flaga isn't available, so yet again you have to unlock Strike Gundam for everyone. It's so horribly stupid like that. Like, I don't mind the Time limit Medals, the kill Medals, or even the Star Difficulty Medals, but once you get into these unit specific ones, it gets really dumb, really fast. And yeah, I generally agree with 8 Star Stages. This was the same issue I had with DWG 3 high difficulty stages. Why can't they just find a different way to make them difficult instead of making everything kill you within a few hits? Edit: Also, it won't let me use Hizack with Jerid, even though Jerid did in fact pilot one early into Zeta Gundam. So, I can only guess that it has to be Sarah now. The only times I've ever been totally stuck is 8 star. Even on 7 at hard I'm free to use almost whatever, within reason (grunts can't do much, but they NEVER could in 3) And yes, Sarah is Hizack, for reason. I have a question about mobility. I know it should be movement Speed only, which it affects, but i read in some Forums, that it also affects attack Speed as well. Can somebody confirm it? I mean if you would equip speedster maybe there would be better attack Speed? I am yet to confirm it, but maybe somebody here knows about it |

It's only movement speed. Dexterity/Attack Speed can be increased through a Burst Mode effect or (possibly) upgrading the equipment on a MS blueprint, not its stats. |

Can someone chime in regarding plan upgrades and materials? The cheapest way to build 1x level 3 weapon plan is to build 2x 15/15 level 2 weapon plans and combine them into the plan you are building? I'm at the point where I can just play to build plans and wanted to be sure that despite the cost of building 2x level 2 plans, it is still cheaper than doing 1x level 3 plan and will produce the intended result. |

Anyone else keep getting crappy A plans on Multiple bogeys on 8 star difficulty? I always get A plans while farming that stage no matter what suit I use and with Fortune skill equipped (I must be really unlucky). I switched to the Zanscare stage and got better plans although there are times that I still get A plans and crappy S plans. On another note, I find the character restrictions in the operations in ultimate mode annoying. I wish they removed the pilot restrictions once we cleared the operation to get a "proper" free mode. |

Yeah, I've been farming the Katejina stage on 1vs10000 and it's annoying I can't use Dearka, Nicol, or Rey, especially now when I need to get them their 5000 kills and unlock all cards for their mobile suits. Is there another stage where you only fight grunts, outside of the 1vs10000 scenario? Need somewhere to grind the characters I can't use there (that I can play on 8-star hard without the worrying about aces). I've been using the kill 300 stage in "Master the Simulator" but is there something else better? |
