If it's real I won't complain about what platform it's on. I'm going to pick up a PS4 for FFXV anyway.

I'm not believing this until we get more news. Already got fooled by a fake Armored Core 6 announcement, I'm not letting the mechahead in me get suckered again today :kurokan:

well, they kinda burned that bridge with fans when they released VS Force along with the "no MB port for any consoles" announcement a few months back

Alright, time to spill the beans now...

Spoiler: click to toggle

Yes, this is entirely made by, none other than... yours truly. :ph43r:

But no, I'm not making this to make a prank on anyone for gags. Instead, I'm making it to prank on myself who have been getting more desperate & miserable in all these years, craving to see a proper Gundam Warriors sequel on the PS4. Heck at first I only intended to post it in just my Twitter account... until Garnix posted it here lol. I didn't even have any intention to make this at first, but that fake Armored Core 6 pic turned me on, so you can somewhat blame the guy who made that AC6 prank for triggering this lolol. :asia:

Anyway on a more serious note, as I wrote in this pic, we'll be approaching the 10th year anniversary of Gundam Warriors series soon. Since the first game was released first on 1 March 2007 in Japan, that means 1 March 2017 will be the series' 10th anniversary. Most IPs tend to do big things on decennial anniversaries, and I believe this should be a big one for both companies; for Koei it's their first ever huge collaboration, and for Bandai their Gundam games should be on the roll throughout the year with the Gundam Games' 30th anniversary thing.

..But for some reason at the same time I also feel a hindrance in either companies. Koei's Koinuma-P seems rather unenthusiastic about this series in Twitter (not to mention that he's also now COO of the whole company so of course he's really busy with not only the games but also managements), and in Bandai the EXVS producer Baba seems to have been promoted to the general producer for everything Gundam games.

Probably at the best case of the game actually becoming real, I think it might have a totally different team of Producers & Directors from both companies (instead of the usual Mr Hisashi Koinuma & Mr Yoshitaka Goto), but as long as the sequel is happening it shouldn't matter at all.

Now to address some points... but before that, kudos to Scherzen for pointing out the "2" thing, though I could rebut it with the fact that GW2 & EN WO2 logos were exactly the same, and I also did some adjustment on the 2 here lol :sly:

i would actually be somewhat disappointed if this were true, sadly, because there's no PS3 on that reveal :(
I know how you feel, but assuming this game gets released in 2017, I don't think there will be any companies even in Japan that still seriously consider a PS3 version come next year. Most of recent Asian English versions have forsaken the PS3, and Attack on Titan's PS3 1st week sales also trailed far behind PSV & PS4 vers.

Not to also mention that Gundam Breaker 3 also have made the switch to PS4. So frankly IMO, unless something bizarre happens, I think 2016 could be the last year PS3 still gets any spotlights

Not to get anyone's hopes up, but didn't the Build Fighters OVA get its initial announcement on April 1st? As far as I know that is still happening, so at the very least, this wouldn't be the first time a Gundam related announcement just so happened to align with April 1st.
Hmm yeah. Today marks a full year after that announcement, but they barely have any further info on the OVA, not even on last week's Anime Expo :/

There's a recent news on the whole BF series though.. albeit it's just a re-run of the 1st season. I wonder if they're going to wait until the re-runs are over before revealing the OVA (like what Digimon Adventure did with Tri)

Guess I'll pass G.Breaker 3
Oh wait, perhaps you shouldn't! GB3 is really an awesome game and is a must-have for most Gundam fans especially those who want to Create-a-Gundam. Well unless you're not really interested in that last point though ^^;

Yeah I was also thrown away by that Armored Core 6 hoax, and it's the one that actually triggered me to do this. So if you need anyone to blame, it's that AC6 prank guy lol :kurokan:

I know we all here are craving for a new Gundam Warriors game, and most especially myself. Considering the series' 10th anniversary, my predictions say we should be hearing about the actual game between this September's Tokyo Game Show throughout 2017. When the time comes, I'll be the first person to be in a frenzy of knowing the game is real, and will come back to this forum in full force. Until then, I'll be sulking inside my Twitter account again... :kurokan: :kurokan:

My only regret is that I failed utterly to make this thing retweeted in Japan's Twitter userbase. Perhaps because I first posted it at a time when most Japanese people are already asleep lol, or because they already had enough of it with that AC6 hoax.

PS: Oh and Gundam Breaker 3 is really awesome! I really recommend everyone in this topic to get the English version once it's out this late month! :XD

tl;dr may you have a Happy April Fools :iamgundam: :iamgundam: :iamgundam:

well played BK, tho my hype with Gundumb games is on a new low at this point that i'm not really, well, "hooked" by the hoax, plus i'm still busy with Bynasty Warriors Gundam so i'm not really salivating for anything else right nao :doge:

while i really like IBO, it doesn't have enough stuff for it to be a musoulike material yet, heck even Barbatos's appearance in MBON/Force is rather disappointing, moveset wise......

as for Gundam breaker 3, didn't they already announced the ultimate disappointment?(the unplayable SD Gundams)

if it's any consolation, i pranked my friend simply with phone screenshots i took from the hacked Shadowmoon playable NPC vid thingie for BWG, he's very uninformed so it's easy to prank :doge:

When I saw this scene between Episode 17&18, it almost became a Musou-worthy battle had Kudelia not make a speech to allow free pass after that lol.
But yeah, it's going to depend on how Season 2 will look like, and considering GW has been favoring late-upgrades, chances are they'd go with Barbatos' S2 forms instead by that time.

Ah yes, personally I really like GB3 for the sheer customization expansion on HG/MG Gunplas, so I didn't really mind that SDs are more like extras for the time being. Though I also wish we could mix up SD builds, and I find it appalling that they didn't include Winning Gundam of all SDs.
But yeah, if you're looking to be able to play as an SD, GB3's might be not for you yet though. (I wonder though about the rumor that you can somehow use SDs yourself in multiplayer? I never play MP though so couldn't check it out haha)

And lastly what a thing you've done right there lolololol :sunday:

Well, one day it will happen

As for the GB3, I have the first one and I was kind of disapointed with the gameplay or mostly with the performance and the action response. I've passed GB2 but I know it was better than the first one, at least it's my opinion after some reviews and reading about.

GB3 it's giving me mixed feelings, but maybe I'll try it :iamgundam:

Happy April's fool !

i kinda like the current Barbatos tho, like how i liked plain Exia infinitely over the MSV Exias and any forms of 00, the strictly physical nature of the suit is the charm and i have a feeling that whatever final upgrades Barbatos will have, it will involve spurting wings of fire and ice, 13 different beam weaponries, and a Shining Finger, such is the nature of Bamco toy department pressuring the Gundam design team of making colorful toys instead of awesome war machines

yeah, i'm never that big on CAWs, that extends to Gundams too i guess, mostly because i have really bad experience with them, all of the CAW MS's tends to be there only for looks and stats, other than that the game play/moves usually ends up like trash, which is what happened when i played MS SAGA on PS2 and Gundam AGE on the PSP.....both of which sacrifices awesome moves for customizable skins

as for the SD Gundam, well, it's not the fact that the SD is unplayable itself that disappoints people, it's the way they introduced it as the main part of the game on the initial trailer, i mean it's like a Monster hunter trailer where suddenly one Felyne/Shakalaka jumps to the monster that's owning your party and defeats them easily, which made you think maybe these small dudes are finally part of the selectable class, which they turned out to be not.

I really like a common idea that was running around back when DWG was hot that Koei should do a DWG game with all the SD Knight / Sangoku/ Sengoku Gundams in full size forms like what they did with Musha and Knight, with a new original story.

pretty much, that will make the western title make way more sense than they are right now, i'm sure BK would agree :doge:

but i guess it's too much work for KT, either that, or Bamco is not letting them do that.

It's probably just that they don't think the Musha types will be as marketable as the official mainline Gundams. Their handheld BB Sango game didn't do so hot, so I guess they're not going to try it ever again. Bamco is a "once bitten twice shy" type company.

that's because the Brave Battle Warriors game is full of clones with only the musou being the unique thing each character has, not unlike DW7, plus it's SD.

Well of course we know WHY it failed, but to Bamco anything they make should sell WoW numbers no matter what the quality.

Which is why they pitch a fit every time they release the worst Gundam game they can produce in the West and it doesn't sell.

well technically BBW bombed before it even made it to the west :doge:

i still find it hilarious that they localized VS Force and hoped that it will sell in the west when VITA isn't even a dominating platform there and the fact that nobody wants the watered down version of MB and simple wanted a clean port with moar contents than the Arcade, not less....

What's even funnier is when they created a BRAND NEW PC game with comic-book style characters using EXVS' engine instead of just localizing EXVS. And then it bombed and they lost all that money.

WHY didn't they just bring over EXVS which has an already established customer base?

I'm telling you, their marketing department is run by a bunch of half-starved chimps.

about that, last year the JP equivalent of the upcoming Power Rangers Ninja Steel have a scene where JP kids(literally kids, like 6~7 YO boy&girl) playing this game on their laptop......days before Bamco shut down the sever for good, and since they prolly shot the scene like months in advance it becomes really ironic when the episode actually aired

you can say that again, everything that makes Namco, well, Namco, is pretty much all dead right now, with only Tekken barely surviving, whereas on the Bandai side, well, all they have is mostly mediocre licensed cash grabs that are outsourced to backwater companies for cheap change.

Don't Bandai have some sort of rights to Armored Core as well? I heard they might be the roadblock to getting Armored Core 6

I know it wasn't on the old games, but I think starting with For Answer they become the publisher and have at least the model kit rights.

I really miss the old-style AC games when they were published by Agetec.
