Wait, this is called Shin Gundam Musou....

Well this could be a reboot, or spin off. Doesn't have a 4 in the title.

Eh, i'm a little confused. So this new Gundam Musou game has not much to do with the first 3 GM games, since it's now called SHIN GM? I mean, if it is the same as the first 3, why are they changing its name?
Btw, i'm not familar with the Gundam universe. I own the first 3 GM games and so far only found the time to play the very first one.
Actually, Ken's Rage 2 was called Shin Hokuto Musou in Japan.
So it may just be the final Gundam Warriors Experience.
Final? I'll find it hard to believe that until I see the producers saying something like 最終作 or これで最後になります in the first announcement's interview. :/

In some Famitsu issues ago there was an interview about Warriors games in general. When they got asked about Gundam Warriors, Koinuma-P revealed out that originally they only planned to make until the 3rd iteration which would generally make GW3 (DWG3) described as the last GW game.
So yeah, with some others here, I think this is more like the GW game is being reboot and that Koei & Bandai have signed a new agreement to create another new game 'not in the previous agreement of just 3 iterations'. :ph43r:

Plus, I've seen more people desiring for a new GW game than people wanting for a continuation to FotNS:KR ever. In the latter case it was most likely because most people were already satisfied & full with FotNS after completing the Raoh arc.

Anyway I just woke up now and still can't believe that this is real..... :kurokan:

Yeh seems to be a reboot or spin off game. Not a true Gundam Musou 4, but in essence it should pretty much be our long awaited Gundam Musou 4.

I wonder what art style Omega Force will go with.

Maybe they're actually going to use the Sango Gundams this time?

This definitely makes up for having no XL news this week!

Im gonna go ahead and forgo my usual "im not all that into Gundam, so im not gonna buy this one, i'll sit this one out" spiel.

I know im going to buy it...should stop lying to myself :XD

Dynasty Warriors Gundam has become my CoD within the Warriors titles. In terms of not wanting to buy them, but always ending up doing so anyway (they are fun games though, I do love them). :XD

Okay, prepare for gigantic roster wishlists to start flooding thread  It seems like all anyone really cares about is who they can play as

I'm hoping they bring back space stages and implement midair fighting this time. And get rid of those damn box and hallway stages.

Would be nice, but I would wager it's a few years too late to be utilizing Sangoku Gundams. Brave Battle Warrior's definitely "old hat" by now, and Sunrise/Bandai is likely turning all focus towards their new series, Gundam Build Fighters. (Though it certainly would be nice if some Sangoku/Sengoku-style Gundams were to pop up in that...)

But more than whatever theme they're going with, I want to see if "Shin" means that the gameplay might change in some compelling way. And hopefully not in the same way that Shin Hokuto Musou did... :hehe:

I'm telling you, a Strikeforce-style system would be perfect for the Gundam series since they are actually supposed to fly and dash around, fight giant enemies AND fight fewer grunts than a standard Musou game

It's a match made in heaven and I hope that's what this Shin implies

Now THAT would be something else! :hehe:

It helps that a number of the Gundam/MS that would likely be considered for such a game already have their own "super" modes that could easily work with Multi-Raid/Strikeforce's "Awakening" mechanic.

Im not too bothered about the roster...I dont really know much about Gundam. The only Gundam series I have even watched was Wing, and that was many years ago and very sporadically, so I only really know the main 5, Char, and Trieze. Hell if anything, I would like them to add Sandrock (he was my favorite)...

Beyond Sandrock...whatever, just hope they're cool...

Plus, it would be a shame to just throw out the Strikeforce engine and gameplay system that they worked so hard on.

I know it's not likely to happen. This game is probably the same as DWG3 with some new gimmick like Gundam Breaker-style part swapping, but I think matching it up with the Strikeforce engine would really take this series to the next level.

I'd agree with that.

But who knows? With so many of Koei's Musou games being released in such short intervals in Japan, it might just pay off for them (or rather Bamco) to think about making the differences between the various series more pronounced.

To its credit, GM3 already made for a number of interesting changes to the Musou formula as it is. So you can never be fully sure with this company! :hehe:

フルブラスト家庭用まだか?

Seems like in each December there has been a major Gundam game released, recently it's alternating between Gundam VS and Gundam Warriors.

Dec 07: Gundam VS Gundam
Dec 08: Gundam Warriors 2
Dec 09: Gundam VS Gundam Next Plus
Dec 10: Gundam Warriors 3
Dec 11: Gundam Extreme VS
Dec 12: Gundam Extreme VS priced down (well at least they also had new DLCs)

Now let's assume that True Gundam Warriors will come out in Dec 13, probably for those who expect a new console Gundam VS can anticipate for next year's December. o.o

Hah, by that time everyone will be drooling over the next Gundam arcade game.

I thought scans would be coming up faster this week because of MH4 being in them, but I guess not...

Here's something to pass the time: Do you think the Western version will still call it DWG4, screwing up the numbering system like they did with DW and WO, or will they finally get with the program?

Strike Gundam?? Oh YES, finally some starting MS instead of the final ones.

Maybe now there's hope for the early Wing suits.

This is sounding pretty damn good for a sequel. I just wonder what other gameplay changes there are... hopefully some enhancements to the actual combat and not just cosmetic / roster changes.

Waiting to see if there are any pictures or just an article...

Not happy to hear about them getting rid of the cel-shading, when it worked so WELL for both Gundam Vs. and GM3. But everything else sounds good so far.

Guess the thing about MA's means that maybe Psycho/Psycho MK II might have a shot of joining the roster now?

While VS' cel shading was great, I don't think DWG3 did it very well.

I want to see the extent of this battle damage they're talking about. They said the same thing about DW7 and 8, but I have yet to notice any kind of dirt or damage on the characters there.

And seems like they're just adding normal Banshee there, not Norn...
Well then again Banshee Norn's Destroy Mode hasn't been even revealed yet, and considering this will be out well before UC's final episode, I have a feeling that Norn along with UC's final stage might be included with the usual 'cheap' DLC....

Anyway almost forgot to add this, but development process is 80%

Eh, I like the normal Banshee better anyway... that claw is boss.

I wonder if they'll include the Katoki Wing suits from Glory of Losers this time? They seem to be Bandai's golden children when it comes to the series now

Didn't GM3 have character DLC? I never invested in them, I sort of fell out of the game before the DLC came about, so I never bothered.

Wonder if those guys will be included on the roster. They most likely will, im sure.

Hard to say, really. Wing is one of those series where the upgraded versions of the suits aren't that much different from the older ones and I can't imagine that they would add in an inferior version of a suit that's already in when the only difference is the absence of one weapon. Wing Gundam has one less buster rifle, Katoki Deathscythe has no shield, and Katoki Heavyarms has more missiles and that's really it. The Strike and Aegis can at least be justified in the sense that there is a significant difference in the weapons and abilities that they have in comparision to the Strike Freedom and Infinite Justice.

The Kshatriya was DLC in GM3 and has been confirmed as a returning unit, so it's likely that the other Gundam Meisters and Mr. Bushido will also be back. Unless they get cut like Quess and Gyunei.
