so by "saidai volume", they are saying that the bulk of the game will be spent on the official mode? aren't this supposed to be the compilation of all 3 GM games? GM1's main attraction was the fangasmic original mode with its many, many crossover interactions and cutscenes, ditto with GM3 but that one lacks the awesome cutscenes...
Yep, seems like they're putting more effort on Official Mode this time around. Not only CG cutscenes, there will be also some actual anime stills that will be really included in game.

But that doesn't mean the crossover events are ruled out yet though. For some reason they just haven't divulged anything about that yet.

Anyway there's a couple of HQ screenshots available
http://www.4gamer.net/games/233/G023358/20131010109/

...and, oh!

Geara Zulu is confirmed as a new grunt MS! I was a bit worried since in the PV they have Geara Dogas against Unicorn. I guess there is still hope for the likes of Strike Dagger too then. ^_^

And the articles also have a link to.... this.
http://ggame.jp/content/musou/
Apparently it's a PC/smartphone minigame to help promote the game, lol. The only control is to click or tap the screen and the Gundam will slash its front while switching lane as well. I tried it once, and got about 34 kills & 17 combos for a total score of 51.

Ah and for a tidbit, apparently for the first-print incentive DLC they're introducing Beargguy as a Playable Mobile Suit. I wonder if it might imply that we'll really have some Non-Playable MS *coughgruntscough*

Surely if they are adding the Geara Zulu of all things Seed should have most of it's Grunts in then.

So basically it's not over 100 suits? Any new Gundams, beside Freedom and Impulse? Really want them to give justice to the other series like bring Spiegel in and so forth.

Recently they revised the info to become over 120 playable suits. And Destroy (MA) & Legend Gundams have been confirmed in last week's Famitsu.

You can check the currently revealed additions here:
http://s13.zetaboards.com/koeiwarriors/topic/7098804/1/?x=0#post9484239

The Famitsu info frequencies seem to imply a two-weekly interval, so I hope there will be a new batch next week :)

simply put, this "Shin" is exactly like HM's Shin treatments, deeper official mode in trade of possibly dull and not really interesting what-ifs, as seen on SHM, this actually kills its replay value more than the ones that focuses on the crossover stuffs

well, its a DLC, they are just saying that the incentive is an extra playable MS, no need to go on a wild speculation based on such lines IMO

although GM did have its share of NPC mechs, from the Class2/3's in GM1(none of which are playable), to the MA's in GM2 and 3,

Geara Zulu makes sense given the fact that it is probably the only possible Grunt add they could give to The Sleeves for official mode.

As for Seed and Destiny Grunts? I was thinking 2 grunts per faction if they wanted things to work out well. Probably one or two extra for when they jump to Destiny as well. Something like this:

ZAFT:

-GINN (already confirmed)
-CGUE or GUaiz
-Maybe BuCUE or DINN for land battles.
-Zaku Warrior (already confirmed)
-Gouf Ignited (Destiny)

EA:

-Dagger
-Long Dagger or Strike Dagger
-Windam (Destiny)

ORB:

-M1 Astray
-Murasame (Destiny)

ZAFT is probably the most demanding of the three factions due to the variety of Grunts they fielded during Seed and Destiny. EA should probably have 2 Grunts for Seed so that way it isn't just a massive field of the exact same Grunt. That way one of these 2 grunts can appear along side Windam once we jump to Destiny. The only tough one is ORB because they have a even smaller number of appearing grunts.

I wonder if that new pic is hinting we are gonna get team ups of CE78 Kira, Kamille, and Setsuna. As well as Amuro, CE76 Kira, and Banagher.

My eyes could be deceiving me or I could have simply forgotten how these suits looked like but it does look like both the Legend AND the Providence will be playable with Ray and Rau Le Creuset as their respective pilots. I had secretly hoped that the Providence will be included but I did not REALLY think it'll happen. I guess Bandai Namco and Koei can still surprise me after all.

Would Murasame be the first transformable Grunt we have?

I know we have the Baund Doc but I would consider that a grunt.

Not that I really want it but if Official Mode is improved, does that mean Mu will get Moebius Zero or Skygrasper?

Maybe as a support unit you could call in like the Battleships, but I don't think they would make it a playable thing.

I'm also wondering what unit they will give Rau to start with. They can't give him Providence right off the bat.

I believe that Moebius Zero could be included nonetheless, at least it is better than the Ball.

Rau could start with CGUE/GuAIZ.

I'd rather have more Gundams anyways. Still hoping Shuffle Alliance, Spiegel, Sandrock, and Altron are in.

Stages still don't look good in the HD trailers... but for some reason the colors looked so much better in the demo videos, especially the one with Strike

Maybe I should just turn up the saturation on my monitor while playing

A lot of people seemed upset by Altron and Sandrocks absence in GM3. But when you look at how botched Deathscythe and Heavy Arms were in that game, maybe it was for the best they didnt get included... Spiegel was definitely missing though, as maybe that game's biggest disgrace. And Sumo/Gold Sumo need to be put in. Cause honestly, Turn A doesn't really have too many units that would be suitable for a GM game, since most of them are so bizarre, wonky, unconventional, etc. But the Sumo units are definitely something with enough significance and do-ability to be added in.

Thats pretty much what I expect, bit iffy on Long Dagger or Strike Dagger but hey UC gets random OVA units like GM Command so why not?

ZAFT definitely needs the largest, I'm quite interested to see if the ASH's make it in if they do Kira's return to piloting in Destiny

I, personally, like Deathscythe's moveset. As for the Sumo, I don't like it that much but it has to be in. Plus Harry is the Quattro of Turn A.
Turn A only needs Turn A Gundam, Turn X, Harry's Sumo and maybe Bandit.

Ye I liked deathscythes moveset too and I like heavyarms but it is way to easy to interrupt compared to other suits. I'm still finding it difficult to understand why they added scwhartz but not spiegal.

Oh yeah. i fricking love Turn A's Parkinson Mech. It was the bomb. Turn A's unorthodox machinery was one of its biggest charms to me. And i dont care much for Silver Sumo. but Gold Sumo would be the bomb, for harry ord alone. because I find, just as much as a unit's artillery, the pilot's influence determines how a unit is really worked. best example of this i can think of Aile Strike vs Force Impulse. Nearly identical units? pretty much. Impulse has a couple technical tricks to it, but just small stuff. but Kira in the Strike was a much more innovative pilot, using terrain, and clever maneuvers, ideas, techniques to win battles, as well as being established as a dominantly precise shooter type of fighter later on. Shinn on the other hand was a more aggressive power, head on charge, heavy melee fighter, a great contrast to his counterpart. And because of this, i can really distinguish these two units apart pretty well. What a pilot has done in a unit is an amazing factor that i love seeing be used.

There was an idea a while back for a MS to have different movesets depending on who is piloting it. Like if Domon was put in the Wing Zero, it would focus almost exclusively on melee attacks and only have a few TBR moves. This was kind of done with the Newtype suits in the first game, but it would be neat if it were expanded.
