I'm sure everyone would like to see all the suits have a class 1 move sets but it's pretty unfeasible from a Dev point of view when there's so many grunt suits in the games already and they keep adding to the move sets.

Sub pilots are just a by product of how much screen time people get in the anime, obviously it's easier to make stories based around more developed characters like Kira, Kamille, Amuro over people who only got a few episodes or less such as the Druggies, Black Tristars or none major Movie characters

Her suit will just be a costume. Costumes ahve never impacted personality. The only people who will get differing personalities/quotes/whatever are the various versions of Amuro and Char, and they're really the only guys that deserve it.
Don't forget Loran/Laura.
Zechs gets new quotes too...
Im pretty sure Haman and Zechs' were just costumes swaps, with no difference in dialogue.

Yea. I dont think anyone that was just a costume got a change in lines at all, save maybe Laura changing her name. I dont remember anything being drastic at all.

I was thinking class 2 actually. Much more feasible.

And yet there are pilots who become playable like Ramba Ral, M'Quve, and Dozle Zabi who all appeared in less that five episodes.

They were super iconic though, and the original didn't have a ton of people to pull from in the first place. If we were only going for long runners it would be Amuro, Kai, Hayato and Char, and 2 of those four aren't very well liked. Ramba Ral, Dozle and M'Quve especially, have massive fanbases in Japan, and are also the only real enemies one could use here beyond Char.

I suppose that's fair, but how long before this series dies? They have to move away from all of the stale base characters and try to utilize the less popular ones to keep everything afloat.

They still haven't even hit all the entries. War in the Pocket and 08th MS Team haven't even been repped yet (and 08TH MS was HUGE internationally too), plus they could still pad out Wing, G, 0, and if they wanted, the unloved entries like ZZ, V, F91, Turn A, X and AGE. There's tons they can pull from, especially if they go into novel/manga spinoffs like Crossbones or Astray.

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually did a Gundam Musou spin-off with mecha only from a single series.

I can agree with people not liking Kai as much as the main character, the main villain, or even a lot of the major Zeonic foes (since there is MASSIVE Zeon fanwank over in Japan), but I'm not sure he's not "very well liked." Dude has his own manga-novel.

He does?! Sweet. I like Kai.

Speaking of which, I hope they give the Guncannon a bit of an overhaul. As much as I like it, it was really crappy to use in DWG3. You have to be so close to the enemies to hit them.

Kai and Hayato were unloved in the original until they became inexplicably popular after their cameos in Z.

Kai even survives to Gundam Unicorn. Hayato died in ZZ, Amuro died in CCA. So Kai wins in the end!

Doesn't Bright outlive Kai?

Anyway, perhaps they'll have Harry Ord as a DLC character. He's long overdue.

Bright and Kai are alive and well in Unicorn. We also know Bright is around when his son is an adult.

So are we actually expecting something substantial this week, or just the usual?

I reckon it'll just be doing some follow up updates to the site after that trailer.

Plus more mobile suit videos, one for seed one for unicorn.

Btw I noticed their was a few comments concerning whether Garma will get a suit than just be the pilot of the GAW. I'd be sad if he didn't get his Zaku II custom.

It's basically a brownish paint job with 4 x Vulcans in the head. If not for official mode then maybe for Ultimate mode.

Looking at the interval, chances are good that we could be getting a Famitsu batch this week. But my feeling is that we'll most likely just see the confirmed playable MS that's already shown in the PV but not in Famitsu yet: Duel, Buster, Blitz, Freedom & Providence Gundams, Lunamaria's Gunner ZAKU Warrior, and Delta Plus.

If all of these are introduced at once in this week's batch, hopefully there will still be some space for surprise additions in the final pre-release batch. Otherwise....

I just hope we got more than 129. Even if just to pad Unicorn, there are a few more suits we could use. The Sleeve's Dreissen is amazing, and maybe the Jesta and Stark Jegan?

Hope that's not the case :( . If they can't resist the urge of showx old reveals then mix them with new reveals. Oh where do fans go to resquest pilots and Gundams for DWG4 or future series? Thanks

There isn't really anywhere to go because Koei, like most developers, isn't really taking requests. Unless they run a poll or something like they did for DW8, they'll just ignore you.

Since the publishing's done by Bandai, usually they hold an enquete for the game buyers, usually up to 2 months after the game's out.
I remembered how in GW3 there was a question on the enquete which asks which series you would like to see appearing in the next GW game.

.....oh wait.... don't tell me the majority of the series requests from that enquete turned out to be Mobile Suit Gundam SEED...??

Thank Joshelplex and BlackKite. :( I better stop asking the producer (who answered my questions on twitter) about certain characters makx it in this game. Just have to wait for the next Bandai enquete. Also BK are overseas fans able to take part in this enquete?

It could be it.

If they asked which pilot or Mobile Suit would we want to see, that would be different perhaps.
Maybe they should stop doing the Official Mode and do something like the Original Mode from Gundam Musou 1 (which I really love it).

they did, in GM3, it was disastrous, though not because it lacks an official mode...they just didn't do it the way they did it with GM1

GW1 could have a very awesome crossover story, because at that time there were still just a few characters, but the major advantage was that they could spend enough resources to give proper spotlights to everyone.

The more characters they have, the less resource they could dedicate to each characters equally, and by GW3 it ended up becoming some characters getting so much spotlight, while there are some other more who became pretty much filler characters.

Speaking of this, from what I've read in Japan's communities recently, seems like people are getting tired of both accurate official story retelling (because they've already seen them tons of times before) and original crossover story (for the reasons already mentioned above).
What they would like to see the most is a crossover story that intertwines the official stories, you know like in SRW or some G-Gen games (G-Gen Neo comes to mind). It'd be stories like the activation of RX-78-2 Gundam and the raid at Heliopolis happening not far away, or Celestial Being and Wing Boys teaming up together on sabotaging Earth militaries and such. Could be even better if there were branching paths, which the fans claim could increase replay value of the story mode.
