Actually it does. Had Kira not randomly shown up out of nowhere, told everyone to stop fighting or he'll fight them because he believes he has the moral high ground, than started attacking everyone than Heine wouldn't have died and the Minerva would have crushed the Earth Alliance Forces as they were getting mandhandled by Shinn, Rey, Lunamaria, Athrun, and Heine. It was a very boneheaded move as Kira and Cagalli didn't think things through at all and only made things worse as well as dragging out the war. Since if the Minerva won here than the Battle of Berlin wouldn't have even been a possibility as the best pilots for Logos were at this battle and were losing quit badly before Kira showed up to turn the battle into draw when he disabled a distracted Shinn and Athrun. I hate to break this, but most Official stories until GW2 didn't actually start from the beginning. All of them do feature the finale though. In GW1, the 1st Gundam roughly started from Ep 19. In GW2 they added the re-entry battle from Ep 5, but what's for sure is that they didn't include the very first battle where Gundam rises up and kills Denim & Gene. Zeta's story also started from the re-entry battle in Ep 11, it didn't start from Kamille stealing the Gundam Mk-II from the colony. And when ZZ's story existed, the first stage Earth Ablaze came from around Ep 23. If we apply this to SEED & Destiny, then most likely SEED could start with the re-entry battle in Ep 13 where the Duel Gundam is already equipped with Assault Shroud, and maybe Destiny could start from the Break The World incident. And then about Impulse, while it may have the split & combine perk, I don't think it'll be used intensively in its moveset if it's included here. The only occasions I saw on using the split & combine perk would be a charge attack from V2 Gundam, and Bawoo's SP attack. Even ZZ Gundam which is supposed to have the same perk didn't use anything of that in its moveset. But I have a good feeling that Impulse might be included. Other than giving an actual end-game suit for Luna, it should help notch up the 'historical' accuracy if they do start Destiny from Break The World. |

Point is that he gets the MK II than he gets the Zeta, even if they take liberties on which early episode they use the fact of the matter is that he's using the MK II and it's a very important part of Zeta. Whether they choose to take advantage of the Impulse's features or not is irrelevant. My point still stands that the Impulse cannot be simply swapped with the Strike as it was a huge improvement and has many features that simply don't exist on the Strike at all. That and the Impulse is Shinn's star mecha that he uses for quite awhile before he upgrades to the Destiny. Even after his upgrade it still saw use through Lunamaria. So anyone that says Impulse isn't needed for Destiny Official Mode is like they're also saying that the Strike isn't needed for the SEED Official Mode. It's wrong, both mecha are extremely important to their respective debut series and are very much different from each other. Edited by SazukeEX, Tue Sep 17, 2013 5:13 am.

I think we need to see a gameplay of the Strike Gundam to see if they have some kind of system to use other Striker Pack (Sword & Launcher). Then we can talk about the high possibility of seeing the Impulse because the particularity of these 2 Gundam are they can change they weapon at their advantage, depending the situation. |

Ive a feeling the pack swapping will just be mid move set/SP attacks like how V2, Gottalatan, etc pull extra's out of there butt for certain moves. As for where the story's could start I pretty much agree with BlackKite, Seeds will probs combine some of the early space stuff into the Atmosphere battle while Destiny's will either start with Break the World or the battle between Shinn and the Extendeds before that in space |

CCA was also kinda incomplete, Amuro starts in a fully equipped Nu instead of Re-GZ>non funnel Nu>Nu, so yeah almost all of the storylines skipped the "slow" part of the story and imediately went into the juicier parts of it Don't forget GP01FB, it has a few of those things as well in GM3, ditto with Turn X

I hope they add In some of the computer-only sp attacks from 2 (e.g. Epyon's maxinum-output-saber-slash, can't remember if there was any in 3), and replace some of the class1 suits default sp attack's.

The quirky thing is that in Char's POV, he did get a stage where Amuro was using Re-GZ. Maybe they might intentionally omitted that part in Amuro's POV just because the Re-GZ was a Class 2 MS? Then again Gundam Mk-II became a Class 1, so probably that's why we could still have the early parts of Z's storyline. Bringing this back to the current game, I think with this it might be more positive to assume that Strike & Aegis will become Class 1 MS too. And speaking of Official Mode, I wonder if it's still tied to individual character POVs, or instead will be more based on the series as an overall, just like DW7~'s kingdom-based stories.. Well Turn X can split pretty much its entire parts, which is already a major perk of it. But I think right now we're more talking about MS that split into just 2-3 segments. And GP01FB? Now that totally escapes me for a moment O.O I just remembered its aerial SP now, thanks
The CPU-only SPs turn out to be still in GW3 as well, they seem to be more occasionally used if playing Hard difficulty often. Even some Class 2s apparently also have them, including even Gyan... yeah I wonder too if we'll get to be using these moves someday. |

The Strike will most likely only use the Aile Strike version as it means they can just color it pink for Cagalli as a color swap. The Strike also lacks the ability to change packs or body parts in the middle of a battle, the Impulse can. So while you can replace the Strike Rouge with just a color swap of the Strike you cannot replace the Impulse with the Strike as it's a completely different kind of beast due to its many improvements and new features that the Strike cannot emulate. I would love to use all the packs, just using the double tap to switch between them, like the way we use to switch into flight mode. Actualy I was expecting that option with Reborns Gundam in GM3, to switch between gundam & Cannon . . |

I don't see that working with the Strike as it cannot switch packs on the fly, at most they can have it call down a weapons from the Skygraspers. The Impulse though can call in packs, if Koei wanted, during battle and switch them out.

They need (and I hope they do) Is take away the ridiculous 2 to 3x damage levels you take from hits and go back to the normal damage from 1 and 2. All that did was make it more challenging in the wrong way. 5 to 6 hits on mid-difficulty and you already about to be taken out. |

Too bad in EXVS they have the Strike do exactly that. And I'm willing to bet Koei will do the same thing, at least for Strike's SP attack (ground will be Sword Strike, air will be Launcher, double will be IWSP). Very much doubt they would ever make the Impulse any different, especially not switching out packs during normal gameplay because that would mean making 3 movesets for one suit and that is just beyond their willingness to do. Please this! I like the idea of respawning units for your allies since they seem to have forgotten to shout for help like they could in the first game but the armour in 3 was as good as paper, I miss been able to trade blows with aces |

That is wrong as the Strike cannot do it. It could only get new weapons through the Skygraspers carrying it. It doesn't have the ability to have packs launched out and equip them on the fly, only the Impulse ever showed the ability. That would be laziness if they choose not to do. Fact of the matter is that the Strike cannot do based off the Show or Mangas. Only the Impulse showed this ability as it was unique to it. If anything the Impulse would have the unique Ground, Air, and the such Musous. Especially since for the Sword the Impulse doesn't evenneed to switch packs. You're dead on the Strike stealing the unique features of the Impulse and the Impulse not getting in the game. What's your malfunction against the Impulse? |

Technically, the Strike is able to exchange packs on the fly but only under certain circumstances (ie-being in space, as seen in episode 5). Admittedly, it probably wasn't meant to be done that way as that was an emergency but the fact remains that it is, in fact, possible. |

So the Big Zam is now flexible and athletic? Hmm.. Think we'll get a special stage "Big Zam on Ice - Starring Big Zam"? Perfect Strike? What about IWSP?! Also, I assume it means you pick a pack before battle? No way you'll be able to switch to the Perfect Strike during combat. That thing is... Yeah. I never thought about the Skygrapers. I was thinking they'll do the same thing as in Gundam VS Gundam.
