By the way, I was playing IF side of Honnoji. It turned out to be interesting.

Thank;s for the help everyone.
I finally got a memory card and now all is left to buy though PSN.
Though..I was wondering should I buy the game if:

1.I want to see more Nobunaga which also why I avoid buying SW4 because it literally the same thing when it come to storyline for Nobunaga in SW3.I watched the trailer and play the demo, there seem to be more new stuff for Nobunaga. So is this game worth it?

2.Do I need to understand Japanese 100%?I can play SW3Z on the PSP though with a bit trouble mainly the weapon and gear skill info.

As they said before, Chronicle 3 is focusing on IF story. Don't expect a detailed historical story like in SW4.

I don't know how 'limited' you are, but since this is not RPG, then you can progress through out the game without giving attention to the text.

Only that you'll be struggling about weapon attributes, conversation answers, and tutorial of new features that never been in the game before.

-------------

New stuff I found:

- Rank 3 CAW Double sword is using a new design. The old double sword design is now used for Rank 2.

- It requires Level 20 to upgrade to Rank 2. And it requires Level 50 to upgrade to Rank 3.

- It seems when you get one of the weapons into Rank 3, you get Shura/Death weapon for that character.

- Yukimura's weapon design set is back to his SW2.

- After the ending of IF story, there will be one more stage to unlock regarding to that story line. It's only a 'Revisit' version which basically gives you another version of approach and ending.

Hmm if let say I make mistake in my choices,I can rechoose that choices on my next playthrough right?
Hmm is this game has a very long playtime?I am trying to compare the playtime with SW4.And from my comparison is that:
Sw4:
Individual storyline and clan storyline
SWC3:
If story which affect the entire storyline which could be long.Is this much longer or the same playtime like Sw4?

Sorry for this question.I am very picky when it come to choose which game I want to buy and I cannot purchase both of them right now because as I am getting Disgaea 4 next.

It's okay to be picky when choosing game. It's called being careful and wise before buying. :)

Apparently, there's no such as 'next playthrough'. All events and stages done will be there in the list for replay.

If you're choosing wrong answer, like I said earlier, you can't re-choose the answer and pick the right one. To overcome this, you have to go to Teahouse and pay to boost relationship with them. So far I know, there's no relationship penalty when answering wrongly.

If you only care about the story mode, then yes, this game is short lived. If you care in unlocking the IF too, then this game should live longer. If you care about level and weapons, then this game will be very long for you.

Hmm..with the game sell poorly in Japan,I really want to buy this game but I feared one day Koei might localise the game.
Hmm..SW3Z at least was certain Koei won;t localize due to any Koei tittle that has "Z" in it,the game will not be localised.

Hard to choose which should I get..SW4 or Sw3C
But SW4 don;t have much of Nobunaga involvement...

Hmm I do want it to be in English....erghh this is too hard....

Ah well, after much thinking I will get the game.If there is going to be localization,it mostly just have English subs with Japan voice which is a direct insult to me as I enjoyed the warrior game along with their English voices.Nobunaga voices is too wonderful for me especially the Sw2.

Thank you for the help everyone.

Ah yes one final question, this one will be fun if it can be done.
How do I record PSVita gameplay and capture the picture of the gameplay?I see RaikoZ post screenshot of the menu so I was wondering how I can do that.Do I really need to buy Psvita or get some random cable I don;t what is it.Thank you and good day everyone.

Vita is built in screenshot feature which is totally BS if sony says PS3 can't.

Press PS button and Start button at the same time to take screenshot.

--------

Moar things I found out:

1. There are 4 level of relationship. When you reach level 4, you get their unique costume. You can't cross-dress though. Costume doesn't come with color swaps too.

2. Before you finished the game, any costume sets you unlocked will unlock the other gender's too. But when you have finished the game, the store will start selling set of costume randomly. I'm not sure if you can trick the unlocking method so you can just unlock for both genders at once.

I take it that these are the more personal events while the stories have more storyline events?

Well, sounds like it's not that big of a grind compared to SWC's 8-12 per character. On the other hand, some of those events had significant arcs going throughout, they were like miniature stories focused on the character. Well, SW4 had some tales but were really short.

Are these events compact in comparison (ie more like SW4's Chronicle events)?

Excuse me, do you mean the rest of Nobunaga's IF?

I forgot if I ever write it here, but IF path goes kinda different here.

Some battles have their own IF side which leads to a short IF path with IF ending and alternate IF ending.

So yeah, I haven't, I guess. I don't really remember. Basically, you gotta work on the relationship they require to unlock the IF stage.

Events are using SW4 style. You know, 3d avatars and all of that.

There's no such 'personal event'. The events are basically filling in between battles. There are more events than the stages itself

There are another 'for fun' event in the Teahouse, which basically just for joke - Japanese joke, to be specific.

Ok after 7 hour, finally the game finished downloading, can;t believe my psvita stop download the game when I left the vita idle.

Ok here is my impression:
1-There is 5 element of weapon that each character can choose,I guess this is useful for player to choose which weapon to carry.
2-Upgrade the Merchant,Blacksmith and Teahouse is good to get more benefit.Though I find that money is the most needed in this game.
3-In case of screwing up relationship in optional chat, load the game from save file and player can redo the relationship. As RaikoZ say in previous chat, once player complete chat, even if player replay the chat,no relationship affected
4-Also there seem to be no way of relationship decreased.I guess that;s good to save time.
5-Graphic is good and enemy is plenty but my main problem is the camera keep on struggling with me.I been holding the guard button but still so hard to see thing.I guess I am not used to my 3 week vita yet...

Overall I am enjoying it.Though the trial mode is so confusing.

New weapon design for Rank 3 CAW double sword. The previous design is now used for Rank 2. Not really adorable since it looks like a meat cleaver..

Spoiler: click to toggle

This is Yukimura's Rank 2 weapon design, which is the same as in SW2 or SW1 4th weapon: Kouryuga.

Bonus:

Spoiler: click to toggle

There you go. It's your lovely Naomasa......... in generic form, of course.

Bonus info:

In IF story, there is Edo Castle

Edo Castle?! Woah, still, the fact that they're utilizing the idea of battlefields outside of historical ones for What-if paths is pretty neat though!

So, this game apparently bombed in Japan... Not surprising.

Still... I'm in need of more SW before SW4II... I might buy this one.

For those (the one) who have the game, how is the story mode? I understand it's mostly what-if story but how does it work? Is it based on factions? Can you pick any characters you want? Can you create multiple CAWs in the same story mode?

What about the Dream Castle mode? How does it work? Are the guest characters playable? Are they bosses in the castle or they just appear randomly?

Thanks. Sorry for the batch of questions but there isn't much english infos about this game!

1. Shorter than SW4
2. I just laid this out up there.. You have to have relationship with the required characters, it'll unlock a new short branch with endings
3. No
4. After you finished the battle. That'll be your free mode.
5. 2 slots. Male and female. Will unlock the other gender when you're done with Story stages.
6. Like Gold Rush in SW1.
7. No
8. Special appearance as mini boss kind of thing

----------

What I don't like from Koei is that they don't even want to work more than just reusing old content. You can see some new stuff in here, but they're minor. They could've made more stages to avoid map clone. Seriously.

Hell, they even sell some BGMs from SW4 and older SW as DLC.

Thanks for summarizing here all the info.

So basically, Dream Castle is just a survival mode. I was expecting a lot from this mode and it's a disappointment...

So all we have is a story mode with set characters... :(

That castle isn't really survival mode in a way.

It has timer and you have to accomplish missions thrown at you to give you extra seconds to it. If you fail to leave the castle within the time given, you failed. There are 3 castles with different architectures and requirement to 'exit' the castle.

This mode doesn't have preset character level and equipment. What's worse is that this mode don't give you exp either. So this is pretty much the harshest mode ever, although you can trade the collected points for many things.

Hopefully it will update with more info though I find out Koei just release a guide book for this game...something I find very interesting.

So far in Trial Mode I have found Tamomo and Sun Wukong.Funny enough Hideyoshi seem to talk normally with Sun Wukong when both of them meet in the map.Is like this Hieyoshi and Sun Wukong is based on the Orochi universe(well I am not suprised if true)

For IF story mode, there will be blue color on the interlude while historical will have yellow color mode.Well good way to differentiate which of the either though I was hoping the color is based on the clan of the story we are playing.Honestly to me,SW2 did a lot of correct thing when it come to differentiate which story player are playing despite many western player say is the worst SW game.

By the way, yesterday there was an update to the game that fix various bugs mainly Noh and Ujiyasu bug as reported here:
http://www.4gamer.net/games/268/G026874/20141219113/
Also a new feature is added that is Training Room which can train up to 4 character even the one that player has no relatonship yet along the reverse gender.Pretty handy I must says.Though after updatintg the game, few hours later I had my first crash with the game...is this really normal?

So just done the battle of Segikahara...pretty disappointing as I am forced to be in Eastern side....something I really hate especially even though I prevent Hideaki defection, the game still progress like normal...well there is a IF story mode for this but it will take a while for me to unlock them mainly I am busy upgrading Nobunaga Oda,Ranmaru Mori,Mitsunari Ishida and Kojiro Katakura.I love these character so much.

Also I just found out that player can upload their own picture for faceshots for the CAW along own picture for the musou shoot out.A very bonus feature that I very love.

Though I have to says I am disappointed with the music in the game. Most of them are pretty bland and boring. The only music I enjoyed is Battle of Angegawa(Oda Forces) and also God of War and Imminent Trumph. Also, what;s with the music of the Battle Of Honnoji, seriously is like a music that suppose to be played against an Evil Bosses in fantasy game like Tales of Phantasia Dhaos Castle.

Well back to more grinding in Trial mode then.Really wish there is good map for grinding weapon material and gold.

Can anyone who has the game comment on how it runs? Performance-wise is it about the same as Samurai Warriors 4 on Vita or worse?

I was originally waiting for the possibility of a localization announcement but since the game is dong poorly in Japan, it seems increasingly unlikely that it'll be released overseas. I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting the JP version for Vita, but I'm still on the fence. If anyone who has played the original Chronicles on 3DS has this one on Vita, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I've logged hundreds of hours into the 3DS one but for some reason SW4 just isn't grabbing me the same way Chronicles was, I think the frantic feel with many missions going on at once and being strategic with your officers is what made the original Chronicles so great to me.
