Um..... on the Eastern Army Yanagawa, do you lose if the reinforcements of the Shimazu arrive? It's referenced offhand in the stage but isn't on the defeat conditions and i'my missing a large amount of missions, will the Shimazu's arrival add extra missions or male you lose the stage?
Can anyone please answer me? And @YukiZM I fave a similar problem to you as well.........

I'm sorry, I personally don't know the answers. I haven't played this in over 3 weeks :kurokan:

I was trying to go through all of the Objectives, but I left off in Tedorigawa stuck on how to trigger one specific mission :hmmm:

ミッション
No.ミッション名内容ボーナス備考
11(EX)戦に負けて勝負に勝つすべての味方武将を護衛せよ!アイテム1.味方敗走武将が0
2.プレイヤーが秀吉以外
3.秀吉が生存している
4.秀吉の友好度が信頼以上

Lost in translation here. From what I can gather:

1. Allies must not defeat unique officers
2. Do not have Hideyoshi in your party
3. Hideyoshi survives
4. Max bonds with Hideyoshi

Is there any other mission-specific criteria that I'm missing (like complete all previous missions for this to trigger)? Because I swear I've done this stage at least a half-dozen times with those 4 conditions met and not once have I triggered this mission.

Does anyone know which track I'm missing?
It's the one between Twin cherry blossoms and Orochi's theme.
I don't even have Orochi's theme unlocked, but I'm wondering if you've already encountered both Lu Bu and Kyubi in Challenge Mode? Those are the other 2 (well, and Sun Wukong but he appears real early) I can remember being enemies, perhaps it's one of their theme songs?

Now that you mentioned it, yes I think it's Lu Bu's theme as I haven't seen him yet. I'll check around for the requirements to encounter Lu Bu. Cheers for the help. :)

Sun Wukong is in Osaka Castle.
Orochi is in Azuchi Castle.
Kyubi is in Edo Castle.

Lu Bu is in all three of them. The "easiest" way to get to him is through Osaka Castle since all it requires is you beat 30 missions and defeat all three of the floor bosses (the other two castles it's a lot more involved than that). Obviously you can't fail any of the Sun Wukong missions otherwise he won't show up as the third floor boss.

Azuchi Castle is difficult because normally you don't have enough time to get that far into the castle, but there is a way to build up enough points to get an extra minute (there's a video on youtube explaining this). You only have to defeat Orochi twice before he's eligible to become a floor boss (this map has two each time), and Lu Bu then spawns in either one of the floor boss rooms randomly.

Edo Castle you basically have to defeat Kyubi all three times (you have to pick up Koshosho's reward the first time to get the last one to spawn), Tadakatsu twice, and defeat all three floor bosses before Lu Bu shows up-- the first time. Then he shows up AGAIN at the floor boss area. Saving Ina, Kai, and Koshosho aren't optional.

Oh yeah, one last thing. Play on Hard. You don't get enough points in Normal or Easy to get the time bonuses which are actually very important.

Finally got this mission to trigger, and even failed it once to figure out exactly what I needed to do. Objective is "Can't Win Them All" in the English version.

Thanks to Divine Justice, actual requirements are:

1. 0 Allied officers retreat
2. Player can't be Hideyoshi
3. Hideyoshi must survive
4. Hideyoshi's friendship must be at least at "Trust"

Notes:
- 1. This does not include pre-scripted ally retreats, such as Nobunaga and Hideyoshi.

- Helpful to have Oichi on your team to control final retreat and ensure she's the last one to do so (not having her on your team means you have to hope the rest of your allied officers get out before she does, since Katsuie is no longer in your control and his retreat + Oichi's ends the stage, failing the mission)

- It may or may not be required, but try not to fail any of the missions prior to this one. Battle flow on both times I triggered this were identical and I did not fail any missions. Numerous previous attempts included failed missions.

Method:

- I used a team of CAW, Oichi, Katsuie, and Keiji

1. Started with my CAW and immediately wiped out the officers in front of me. The first mission will trigger to clear the river banks area by defeating 3 specific officers. While you're there, take out the other 1-2 officers that are not part of the mission.

2. After defeating the 1st officer + any others he brought with him, switch to Katsuie (who should be in the East by default) and defeat the mission officer near him.

3. At this point, Ranmaru should say something about spies or something to that effect and (5) Ninja Masters will appear in the east and another mission to prevent them from escaping will appear once Katsuie spots them. Defeat them.

4. There should be one more officer from the 1st mission (+ a buddy) in the center of the river banks area. You can go ahead and defeat them to trigger the next chain of events, or you can work on clearing the entire area of enemy soldiers first, I'll explain why.

5. Completing the first mission triggers Kenshin's arrival in the Oda main camp. You basically leave someone there to deal with him (I sent Keiji there) while you focus on map clearing to protect your weak, generic allies and the (3) Rifle Captains still in the river banks area.

6. To clear the entire area of enemies, I defeated every Barracks Captain (5-6 of them), took out the lone officer in the unlocked central garrison in enemy territory, and worked my way to the East to defeat all officers not locked behind doors in the high morale zones. Defeated Every. Single. Soldier. By the time I was done, the entire river banks area south to the main camp was cleared of all enemy soldiers, except Kenshin and any peons he brought with him.

7. With my allies alone and safe, now I switched to Keiji and defeated Kenshin. This triggers the flooding event, the enemy morale boost into your area, and the arrival of additional enemy officers.

8. (2-3) officers appear in the west, and another (2-3) in the center. There are (2) separate missions that trigger here, the only one you need to worry about not triggering is the one to defeat (2) specific officers who are targeting the (3) Rifle Captains. Wait a few moments for the Rifle Captain to start crying for help to trigger the mission. The other one I recall is the one to defeat (4) officers, including Kagekatsu and Kanetsugu, and to escort Nobunaga to the retreat point in the west.

9. Once Nobunaga retreats (again, does NOT fail the 1. condition above) Katsuie feels guilty and decides to go LEEEEROY JENKINS into enemy territory on his own. At this point, he becomes unplayable. Mission triggers to take out those defending Matto Castle. Go with him and defeat these guys, and keep Oichi away from him for awhile.

10. Once you complete Katsuie's suicide mission, additional officers appear and now you have to defend Matto Castle as an additional Objective. Defeat them.

11. Once that's accomplished, you can have Oichi meet up with Katsuie. She should have been talking a bunch about Katsuie not throwing his life away, give it to her instead, etc. and the game should prompt you to have them meet.

12. Once they meet, victory conditions will change, giving you the option to let them two retreat or defeat all enemy officers, and if you were successful, it should also trigger the "Can't Win Them All" mission for all allies to retreat.

13. Kagekatsu and Kanetsugu appear once more to impede their retreat so defeat them to clear this mission as well. By this point, all of your allies should be running like hell to the south west retreat point.

14. Order Oichi to stay in the north or some other safe place as far away from the retreat point as possible. This ensures all allies escape first. Once they're all gone, you can send her there (I escorted her like a good gentleman should :mago: )

Mission Successful :ph43r: Headache finally over :kurokan:

As a final note, somewhere between Nobunaga retreating and Katsuie/Oichi's retreat mission, Hideyoshi also retreats and re-appears. This too does NOT fail the requirements for this mission. In fact, I'm 95% sure it only happens if this mission is done correctly.

Can someone explain to me what the encyclopedia is like? Is it detailed like in the Dynasty Warriors Empires games for example?

I know this might be a shabby question, but it's bugging me. Who was on the Samurai New Volume 20? I somehow missed it on my 3DS last week and I don't believe there is any way to get it. :(

It was Kagekatsu and Kanetsugu with Kanetsugu rambling off about trivia like Yoshihiro Shimazu and his cats.

Wait, you guys on the 3DS have no way of downloading older Samurai News? :thinking:

If so, that sucks. I didn't use my Vita for like a month and had 3 weeks of Samurai News to download and collect Challenge Points.

I need to get my s*** together and make more of an effort to play this more often. I haven't even attempted to acquire a single rare weapon :facepalm:

I played this game for the first time in over a month yesterday and it's so much harder than SW4-2 I was thrown off by the difficulty for a bit. Since you can't really do much to the morale you just have to grit your teeth and bear it.

Yea, it usually comes through Spotpass, which is like an automatic download thing. It really sucks if you miss a week, since there is no way to go back.

It also gets jumbled up in your notifications, so it's sometime is a pain to find a certain one to read. :hmmm:

I might as well just go into the game, as there is an update button under Network, and that usually does the trick to get the news.

Does anybody know how to trigger the ninth mission in Clash at Osaka? I've been trying to trigger it but can't get it to work. I think it involves defeating Tadamasa Honda.

Well you can manually download it from the Network menu to check for updates. You get the 20000 points immediately and the message anyway.

Also twice a month checking each leaderboard gives you 10k gold apiece when the leaderboards reset on the 1st and the 15th (approximately). So even if you're not actively playing now but still want income checking in to that still works for you.

You'd probably need to buy a new memory card because its 12695 ''blocks''. When I got this game all content I could delete combined did not even add up to that amount of blocks.

So I bought a new memory card.

Okay the block thingys that give you rewards,one of the objectives the last one I need to complete that panel says I have to clear the entire stage with under 200 total enemies defeated and even rushing the boss there's still gatekeepers with little groups of enemies you have to kill to even open the doors,even speed running I end up around 300-400 K.Os,is there a character that has a direct line style of combat similar to Liu Shan in DW8 before empires? Because that's what it's gonna take I feel and all the characters I commonly used have "sweeping " attacks and I need a more One on One Liu Shan like attack chain character if I'm going to cleat this objective can anyone provide any character recommendations?

Is it on a specific stage you're struggling with? IIRC, there are a few of those panels that have the 'defeat fewer than XXX amount of enemies' ... Try this info:

Buy a 32GB card; they don't run more than $15 online. The SD cards that come with the 3DSs aren't big enough for anything.

This is what I got from a list I googled:

128kb = 1 block
1mb = 8 blocks
1gb = 8,192 blocks

Helpful Equasions:
Blocks10248 = GB
Blocks8 = MB
Blocks128 = KB
GBx1024x8 = Blocks
MBx8 = Blocks
KB128 = Blocks

Personally I don't care for the 'block' system.

Just a heads up, this week (Week 24) is the last of the weekly messages. No more free 20,000 Challenge Points after this (not that I personally needed them).
