Oh i think i got the deal about Sanzo's Dreams...you know...maybe those 2 stages are her mini story arc where she looks for Goku...and what do Magoichi, Zhang He, Pang Tong and Toshiie have in common? They're all with Wei, maybe she is following Wei in order to find Goku.

Same with Benkei, just replace Goku with Yoshitsune and Wei with Orochi Forces.

...Or i might just be crazy and be making up things, whatever suits you.

Anyways, I'm attempting to unlock ingredients and it seems the WO2 stages that have them has their requirements changed. Shu 2 for example I followed old procedures and quickly took over the eastern base, yet no valuable item ever appears anywhere. Tried different difficulties to no success.
Given that the WO2 treasures were often unlocked by following some objective, I would try out the other original battle objectives and see if any of them work. For instance, this stage tells you to protect Wei Yan to set off a fire attack, and it also mentions taking over the west garrison.

It might help to post screen shots of the treasure hints from the battle preparation menu. There are some Japanese speakers here who may be able to translate.

Also - thanks a million for posting high-quality wallpapers as you unlock them. :D I'm eager to see the final two for my main men Cao Ren and Lu Meng, but no pressure, of course.

you may have a point with the sanzang theory

the benkie one as well, i have a theory as to why hes sifhting for Da Ji and Himiko

you know how in the end of the video it showed Benkie with all the enimie officers weapons? Maybe Da Jis lying to Benkie about knowing ware Yoshitsune is.

using him to defeat people who are a thret to Orochi, and having him take their weapons

In that stage, I don't think I heard Toshiie even say a line...

The stage order for the first 28 Dramatic stages are identical to WO2. All of them are unlocked by unlocking the characters involved, save for 1, 6, 8, 16, 18, and 26 which requirements are unknown.

29 - Unknown
30 - Sanzang Fashi, Sun Wukong, Himiko (20 proficiency for the three characters, but I'm not certain)
31 - Unknown
32 - Orochi, Masamune, Keiji (Unlock characters involved)
33 - Da Ji, Xing Cai, Gracia (Unlock characters involved)
34 - Unknown
35 - Sanzang Fashi, Zhang He, Magoichi (Unlock characters involved)
36 - Sanzang Fashi, Pang Tong, Toshiie (Finish 35)
37 - Benkei, Da Ji, Himiko (Unlock characters involved)
38 - Benkei, Himiko, Masamune (Finish 37)
39 - Unknown
40 - Unknown
Hmm, Eni, that may not be a bad idea. Perhaps its supposed to be a psuedo-Journey to the West?

Regarding the Dream stages...

Dream 1 is the one with Cao Cao, Liu Bei and Sun Quan

Dream 6 is the one with Guan Yu, Lu Meng and Xiahou Dun

Dream 8 is the one with Lu Bu, Keiji and Tadakatsu

Dream 16 is the one with Kotaro, Zhang Liao and Gan Ning

Dream 18 is the one with Ina, Huang Zhong and Xiahou Yuan

Dream 26 is the one with Taishi Ci, Wei Yan and Kojiro

Well, if I recall in WO2, to get Dream 1 you need to get the three's prof to max, Dream 6 you need to obtain 15 ingredients, Dream 8 you need to obtain all the ingredients, Dream 16 and 18 you need those 6 to be at level 99, and Dream 26 the sum of all character levels equals 3,640 or more.

Probably it's the same again?

Could be, but I hope they at least tune down the ridiculous requirements a notch, especially stage 1.

I'll attempt to unlock those through WO2 means later on to see if the requirements remains the same, also try my luck at figuring out some of the ingredients requirements (though kind of difficult when you don't understand a thing). I've mostly been just farming weapons and abilities, since I completed mostly everything else, save for Dramatic stages.

Alright cool, you do that, thanks.

If Sanzang's dream stages are to be like Journey to the West, then I wonder what Benkei's are supposed to be?

The same but replacing Goku with Yoshitsune.

I think he äsk where Yoshitsune-same is...so he's looking for him also...most likely Da Ji just tricked him into helping her.

Since day one I've wanted to buy this game! >_< I can't wait for the US release date!

Can someone post Okuni's 4th costume? That was my favorite ever!

And I'm wondering, do the DW characters have a DW6 picture in gallery? If not then what is it?

Very good question! I am wondering the same thing.

Some quick comments:

I am happy KOEI made new artwork poses for these characters, like Kunoichi. I've never seen it before and it's unique (upside-down with kunai). They could have added her Game Over screen art from SW1 in place of the other one...

Oh and Fu Xi... what happened there KOEI?!? By far the worst costume he has available... I will never pick his 4th... :meantongue: :realangry: I have no clue what the designers were thinking there. At least they did "o-k" with Nu Wa's 4th, but Fu Xi looks like some generic peasant who resembles Musashi... <_<

Someone else who has the same theory that I posted in Story Continuity... its pretty much the only theory that makes any sense... I think you can agree that those two characters Dream Stages are actually part of the MO storyline unlike most Dream Stages namely Benkei's first dream stage...

What's documented thus far at the Orochi Z Japanese Wiki concerning Dramatic stages unlocking (http://orochis.wikiwiki.jp/?%CC%B5%C1%D0OROCHI%20Z):

1 - Proficiency of characters involved 20 or higher
8 - Obtain all ingredients
16 - Characters involved at level 30 or higher
18 - Characters involved at level 30 or higher
20 - Obtain at least 10 ingredients (I think they are incorrect on this one, as I didn't collect any ingredients yet I have it unlocked)
29 - Sum of all character levels are more than 1,920
30 - Characters involved at level 30 or higher
31 - Proficiency of characters involved 20 or higher
32 - Unlock characters involved
33 - Unlock characters involved
34 - Unlock characters involved (incorrect also, as I don't have it unlocked yet the characters are)
35 - Unlock characters involved
36 - Clear Dramatic stage 35
37 - Unlock characters involved
38 - Clear Dramatic stage 37
39 - Unlock characters involved
40 - Clear all Dramatic stages not including 40

Seems like the requirements have toned down tremendously, which is GOOD. No more ridiculous proficiency grinding to unlock one stage (27 is now simply unlocked by unlocking the characters involved).

Whew, that's a mercy. They really toned them down a lot, especially unlocking the old ones, it's like they halved their requirements.

Dream 8 is the only exception, it's the same requirement, but when the team in question is Lu Bu, Keiji and Tadakatsu, the 3 spears of Doom and Destruction, it would require you to do a lot.

I think Dream 8 would take the most amount of effort to unlock. The other 39 seem pretty easy to unlock.

And IRRC, Dream 20 is the one with Yuan Shao, Nene and Zhu Rong, and even back in WO2, the exact requirements for unlocking were confusing. In fact, I think even today people still don't know exactly how to do it.

Dream 34... that one is Nene, Hanzo and Kotaro isn't it? Perhaps the prof or level of those 3 need to be at a certain amount?

Plus, we still don't know exactly how to unlock the ingredients  So that makes it all the more difficult. I reckon I'm gonna try the method on the JP Orochi Wiki as best as I can to get the ingredient.

But... man, the mere fact that the Dream stage requirements are easier...

Blah, so that means no more Cao Cao vs Nobunaga face-off? No Wei Yan - Hanzo team up?

Bummer.

Ohwell, at least now the first 2 havent ENTIRELY lost their purpose, since they have the interactive cutscenes.

Oh wait, thats why we have the internet.
No those are back, I though you meant all the Wu-4 cutscenes
Wait, the one where the first character in your slot is chased away by Sun Jian? Not in there at ALL or just available to the WO1 characters? If all, LAME. Whatever, leave it to Koei to take out the best interactive cut scene in the game... there were some hilarious moments there (especially Yuan Shao, which is why Paul St. Peter is the ONLY Yuan Shao in my book).

Whatever, I'll get over it. Guess I can leave it to my imagination to see how WO2-Z characters will respond to the situation.

And in regards to unlocking Dream Stage 27...

ODE TO JOY

For once, I am glad they nerfed something.
