The other thing about weapons here is that you can customize them the way you want.

Provided you have the EXP, you can fuse 2 weapons together by carrying the stats and elements of one weapon to another. So you can create a mega death weapon for the character you want.

The downside to all of this though is the mere fact: 96 characters: 96 4th weapons to collect.

It was a downright nightmare for me back in WO1 and 2.

Thank you so much for the fast replies guys!

Thank goodness theres 4th weapons. Though I prefer a 4th weapon with fixed stat and make it more fun/difficult to get like, doing a series of events to unlock it like in the older DWs and SW 1 , and SW2 also if im not wrong.
Yeah, I quite liked that as well. Such as Lu Meng's HP gallore and Sima Yi's lightning orb in DW3. Nowadays in the WO series, like members have told you, you get to pick the elements and also the stats, though the statistics are still limited so you can't go having all attack boosts in each slot.

Welcome to KOEI Warriors! :)

Which is why they should have included 5th weapons.

1. They could only be obtained through certain requirements in their Dream stages on Hard or Chaos.

2. They would have set stats, preset elements, and preset abilities, so that everyone won't become a Tenbu blender.

@LordDragonNinjaMan: Any ones in particular?

@Jorgh: Wow, Zhang Jiao doesn't look to bad!

@Kaon: Whatever they had in WO2 (which would probably mean nerf). The game uses the WO2 system if I'm not wrong. Whatever i've seen so far in battle is the same in WO2. I haven't tried Mitsunari but I'm 99% sure he's still nerfed.

Time to get to unlocking my Dramatic Mode stages! Though the Orochi-Date-Maeda battle would be recorded sometime through my plays. :hehe:

I guess that would explain how generics attack like officers with katanas would fight with the SW Katana set in MO1 while in 2, they used a katana, but fought like Sun Jian or how there is no naginata so generics use a spear, but swing it like they had the naginata moveset... it frankly looked sad and a bit of a downgrade, but its not important anyways... it was just one of the points I didn't like about MO2...

This game is MO+MO2+MO2 Gameplay System+New Characters and Dream Stages...
I wonder what Dong Zhuo looks like in his forth costume with the mega beard and belly...

Yes. But I suppose KOEI aren't interested due to the time for being specific with characters and the fact they don't want to make specific targets for each individual person, it would take too long. And besides more customization and freedom with the weapons happening this way has always really been inevitable. It was going to happen eventually.

Hence why he said they SHOULD HAVE included 5ths. He didn't say there are and he does know that there are not. ;)

That's because his boots are ginormous to go along with his bulky lunchbox chest armor. :D

Someone upthread was talking about 8-star battles in the context of getting 4th weapon drops. Was that a typo, or does this game have difficulties above and beyond the original 5-star max?

With Fu Xi, they tried... but failed miserably. Seeing that new costume REALLY makes me wish his original DW3 costume was placed there instead. What a waste...

I disagree with that, how come they failed with Fu Xi? He looks like some kind of ancient god, which he is.

I'd rather have that costume than the bladestorm Fu Xi, or the generic CAW Fu Xi from DW3.

If you people prefer the JP voices, then import for crying out loud, instead of complaining

Having first hand experience with the JP voices now, I feel there are many superior EN VAs. None of the JP ones seem very unique. Seriously, half of the guys have overally deep voices, and many unfitting to the character, like Zhou Yu.
Nobunaga EN Va sounds intelligent and cynical, while the JP one is just another deep voice.
Did you even read my post? I said i was trying to import it.
And about the voices themselves, the world is not just USA for your information. WE in EUROPE do not CARE what you USA think and rather have for voices, that JAPANESE all 'sounds the same'
WE in EUROPE want japanese voices, because they are authentic, and original and FIT on the mouthmovements, FIT on the characters, and most of all because the english dont. What is so hard about accepting this, instead of always whining about what you americans rather have because all sounds the same to you, do japanese people also all look the same to you? I really find it quite harsh and i hear it everywhere, and its always americans saying it.

So get off our backs, we in europe want an original VA option. We dont care if you in america dont.

Oh how interesting, since when Europe became the Borg?

Is saying WE, a little too extreme? Does your needs represents Europe's?

Besides, Jasonic never stated that ZOMG USA PREFERS ENGLISH!

Hey hey HEY! I'm from the USA and I'm Pro-Choice on JP voices and En voices (thought personally if I had to go with one or the other I'd vote for JP). @_@ Don't lump all of us together either!

But seriously this is heading for super flame WAR! Let's try to keep it calm.

Edit: And even though I prefer JP voices, I can't READ Japanese oddly enough...which is why I don't import. I'd have to buy both a Japanese and English version to get all of what I wanted, and frankly I don't know what kind of dough those who import are raking in--but I don't have the money to buy two copies of everything.

How does Nu Wa look more revealing? I am happy that she actually has armor, especially on her legs. Sure she is still eye-candy, but definitely better than her default look. Should I post some more comparison photos for everyone like I did with DW3 Nu Wa? - because that's simply not true about showing more skin!
You might have to for some of us. I played DW4 for about 5 minutes before deciding it was too jerky and unfun to play, and I've never seen DW3. Was that the one where Zhang He's ending shows him being assassinated by an ambush of archers? I actually haven't seen it; Never having had any first-hand experience Pre-DW6 I don't know.

As for armor, sure realistically Tachibana Ginchiyo is the only woman who's actually dressed like somebody potentially ready for the battlefield, but to be honest I'm usually too busy smashing peons to take much concern.

Although I do want to say that all the fuss on alternate costumes seems a tad silly to me - they're just reskins, it's not all that different from palette swaps. Yes, it's a nice touch, but a detail is a detail. I like the gameplay elements, like Weapon Fusion or a Mitsunari with a usably-powerful R1.

Wow. Just wow. I don't remember electing you as our representative. Don't claim that only Americans do that, because you know fine well that us Europeans are just as bad. I myself agree that often, the Japanese voices in Koei's Warrior games sound alike. Notice I said the Japanese voices in the Warrior games, not the whole of Japan.

A Japanese VA option would be great for the people that actually want it, but I'd rather Koei focus on improving the game itself than adding a rather useless option. It adds some flavour for people that enjoy the Japanese VA's, but you have to admit, it doesn't exactly do anything extraordinarily good for the game. If a Japanese VA option isn't being included, import. Oh, and never claim that you're voicing the opinion of Europe. From the sounds of things, you're a little hot-headed, and the kind of person we really DON'T want representing us. (I mean that, I've read your comments in this topic!)

Anyway, I'm looking forward to this game's English release.

Im just fed up with everytime a american coming in and saying 'i like understanding what is said cause japanese all soudns the same.' yea maybe to americans, i can hear the difference just fine. I find it almost racist to state that they all sound the same. They clearly do not. Everytime again its a american that says this, i know many europeans that everytime hope there is finally still the original voices, europe is not english, the american mainland might be english but we are not. So koei should stop shaving it all on britain or something, just keep in the original voices as an option how hard can it be. Yes i know this isnt koei.org i dont care. This has to be said for a change.

So, i realise americans love to hear their own language 24/7 but in europe we have alot of different countrys, so why should our european version of a japanese game be limited to only english. I rest my case.
