Does anyone know in what stage that scene with Kiyomori & Yoshitsune occurs? Not the Itsukashima one, but the one that was shown in a scan, looked like from Sekigahara IIRC. I expected it to be in the dream stage of Yoshitsune, Kiyomori and Benkei, but it was a Yukimura scene instead.

Does anyone have pictures of Kiyomori's new costume and Yukimura's SW1 alternate? Apart from Sanada's scan image which I've seen. Thanks.
LDZ I could try and get a picture of Yukimura's fourth costume for you later if you want :).

@ZeroTheWarrior: I had a feeling he was human, or more of a human. Like what they did with Da Ji. Thanks.

@Musashi-Miyamoto: Yes please! Is there any slight changes to the costume as well?

Speaking of hmm my 1st impressions of kiyomori would be "cyborg with a funny hat" in that 4th outfit, clearly a Terminator: Salvation tie in by Koei, expect a trailer on the game

With Fu Xi, they tried... but failed miserably. Seeing that new costume REALLY makes me wish his original DW3 costume was placed there instead. What a waste...
Eni

He looks like some kind of ancient god, which he is.

I'd rather have that costume than the bladestorm Fu Xi, or the generic CAW Fu Xi from DW3.

Ancient God? How does gold chains with hobo clothing describe him as ancient? I do not want to put you down because everyone will have a different opinion, but I am just wondering what makes you think that? One of my favorite characters that started with DW3 was destroyed, and it seems like KOEI is beating a dead horse with such atrocious designs. I was the only person who advocated Fu Xi and Nu Wa to return some day in any DW game, while others thought they should just disappear forever.

Fu Xi from DW3 was a unique character design exclusive to that game, like all the other “generic” characters at the time. There was never a CAW mode as well, unless you are talking about DW4 and DW5. Fu Xi is suppose to be a man who is absolutely JACKED beyond belief with the Great Sword... not some silly barefoot man running around with a giant sword who looks like he got a spa treatment tan and gold bling from MC Hammer.

Also, what is this “bladestorm Fu Xi” you speak of too?

How does Nu Wa look more revealing? I am happy that she actually has armor, especially on her legs. Sure she is still eye-candy, but definitely better than her default look. Should I post some more comparison photos for everyone like I did with DW3 Nu Wa? - because that's simply not true about showing more skin!
Ganheim

You might have to for some of us. I played DW4 for about 5 minutes before deciding it was too jerky and unfun to play, and I've never seen DW3.

As for armor, sure realistically Tachibana Ginchiyo is the only woman who's actually dressed like somebody potentially ready for the battlefield, but to be honest I'm usually too busy smashing peons to take much concern.

I made a comparison picture many posts back. Let me dig that up too…

http://i132.photobucket.com/albums/q3/GUILE22/NuWacomparison.png

If you want, I could post some official Fu Xi / Nu Wa CAW action from my personal saves in DW4 and DW5.

Yes, Ginchiyo is just so awesome too! Although they went crazy with her 3rd alt by opening up all that armor, I found the cursor to change outfits stuck there for the longest time in WO2 :D Miss Tachibana is smexy!!   :XD

Okay, I'm getting sick of this insulting ignorance of yours(and other people as well,) Hanzo, calling that appearance as a "hobo with gold chains." Do you even know what East Asian gods look like, such as figurines like this? http://www.woodroyal.com/pictures/woodcarving/carving-18.jpg Or art like this? http://www.thaimed.us/wp-content/uploads/shiva-vegetarian-festival-chinese-god.jpg
http://wwwdelivery.superstock.com/WI/223/53/PreviewComp/SuperStock_53-2226.jpg

Oh hey, look, I found a portrait of Fu Xi! Gee, looks like a "hobo" as you'd call it, huh? http://www.cultural-china.com/chinaWH/images/exbig_images/6532f9384b5d17574bfc154147354342.jpg

Fu Xi's 4th appearance is similar to common portrayals of East Asian deities: heavy amounts of jewelry, barehanded & barefooted, loose clothing. Your DW3 appearances look absolutely nothing god-like at all. If we wanted an accurate portrayal of Nu Wa, she'd have to be topless! Koei obviously can't do that, so they knocked it down a few pegs and simply went with a revealing top instead(the showing of the belly is a common theme with East Asian gods as well.) There is obviously embellishment involved, but that's for the sake of making interesting designs in a fictionalized game.

Seraphil is quite right about Fu Xi, that costume was made to look like those gods, and it is very unique, I like it. Hmm, well my hate towards this game is starting to die down obviously, and I hope you guys who have it enjoy it!

I finished all Dramatic stages, except for the final one, unlocked Shin Orochi but didn't unlock stage 40. I guess there is another requirement somewhere, perhaps I need to finish all the story gaiden stages.

Oh, and Shin Orochi's weapons are the same as Orochi, at least for the first couple. He has no new costumes and appears to be identical to his WO2 counterpart gameplay wise.

I love Fu xi. Who cares that people dont like 1 of his costumes. Thats what the other costumes are for. Not everybody likes the same look. Alot of people hate his (4th?) but there are some people who might love fu xi JUST for that costume. So theres no point of anyone judging the look of any characters costume.

Well, whatever, Nu Wa is very sexy in her 4th

@Crimsondramon: Hey, looks like I saw you when I was in Singapore. The guy wore dark blue turban, black t-shirt, hairy arms, tall, beard, glasses, just like you. I saw that guy on Dhoby Ghaut station on Friday around 1.30 PM. Is that guy really you, Crimsondramon?? :ph43r:

Alright Seraphil, chill out. Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Just because he think it looks a certain way doesn't mena he was trying to insult the culture or anything of the sort.

It's one thing to have an opinion saying that you don't like something. But when that turns into insulting comments and ignorance, that's not something to let slide.

I don't see why he should "chill out". Some opinions are worthless in the face of facts that invalidate them. Even moreso when these "opinions" may be offensive.

Furthermore, simply because one doesn't mean to be insulting does not mean one isn't being insulting. The person may not have meant it, but the effect is still there.

Understandably, there are to be critiques of the various costuming and the like. That is a given, since we live in a visual world. We look at things, and looking at things may give some of us pleasure. But simply because one doesn't find pleasure in looking at something doesn't mean that said something should be insulted, even unintentionally. By comparing Fu Xi's design with that of a hobo, it vilifies the imagery.

Personally, part of why I appreciate Fu Xi's design is specifically because it calls back to much of the iconography and imagery of Hinduism, the Bahai faith, Tibetan Buddhism, and ancient Han faiths. I'm Hindu. And it's greatly disturbing that someone feels the need to call the aesthetics of that which I worship comparable to a 'hobo'.

Again - I'm sure there was no disrespect meant. But just because someone does not mean to do something, does not mean that they didn't commit said act. Perhaps people weren't aware of the fact that Fu Xi & Nu Wa's designs alluded to such aesthetics. If you're unaware, then I strongly encourage everyone to ask. Asking questions is beneficial for us learning, and we'll all be able to cleanly critique the aesthetics.

And that being said, I'm happy that we all feel comfortable enough to be able to speak openly about all of this - we should be honest about how we feel, and whether or not we feel a certain visual is successful or not. However, it's possible to be both judicious and honest about the visuals, so I encourage everyone who wishes to comment on them to be as such.

Oh, I see he got similar treatment in terms of getting clothed in Western-style armor. I do like how he looks - though of all of his costumes, this one accentuates his wings the most. I'm not quite sure how I feel about that - Do you like the wings?
