I am really furious why this game isn't being released in America, even with the so called dumb down version that is being released on PSP soon. Didn't bother playing WO2 cause my PS2 broke and now that I have a PS3 I want to be able to play WO2 with all those nice extras and new stuff with the luscious graphics and massive amounts of enemy on screen. Eh, I'm pretty sure this must be like the 100th complaint about it not coming over to America. I just wish KOEI would rethink their decision. |

More like the 1000th complaint or probably more. You should just import it. Its really not so bad, and that comes from me who actually prefers English voice acting(as most dont). |

Singapore! Anyway, I'm just being a pain because I'm still mad at Koei for cancelling this game for US/UK.

kind of late now. they'll probably have an orochi 3 some time next year for the ps3, or some other samurai/dynasty warrior game. they really jerked me with this game. i hardly speak japanese as it is, and can only read a view kanjis. but i was so looking forward to improving my japanese with this game. so i tried ordering it from play-asia. but that didn't work, apparently they don't deliver to germany. i also tried ordering from amazon.jp but same issue, so i went to renchi and ordered it on tuesday night. i got it yesterday, but it's in japanese with chinese subtitles, the menu and names are also in chinese. which completely sucks for me. especially because on renchi.com i specifically picked Musou Orochi Z (JP). i wrote a complaint which they didn't reply to, but they changed it on their site now, and took out Musou Orochi Z (JP) and replaced it with Musou Orochi Z (AS). this really sucks! now i can't learn kanji, and even worse, i can't use any of the guides to understand what elements are on the weapons. or are they guides for the chinese characters? Inoran-san, how come you don't like the japanese voice acting? i hate most of the english voice actors, especially on dw6e. in dw6 sun jian sounded so cool, but in dw6e they got this bored to death dude. matter of fact, a lot of the characters in the english version hardly bring any attitude to the table. |

you mean sent it back to hong kong? i don't think i'm going to get my money back. oh well i'm learning to cope with it. haven't gotten far yet, i started playing wo1 story with shu, after that i'll go on to wu and wei, and finally sw (which i'm really looking forward to). after that i can start on my wo2 stories. it takes a little longer because i'm playing every stage on easy and normal, plus i had some fun getting my 19 wins in survival before i fell out of the ring. i never seriously playerd the orochi games, but i'm loving it. the only things i don't love about this game are: -it's chinese rather than japanese, which makes guides useless, and i don't know what i'm equiping my warriors with, or what skills are being used. -i can't dodge (forgot that they added that in dw6) -characters don't look as cool/smooth as they do on dw6 -graphics aren't nearly as good as on dw6 (which is what i now believe is another reason why they didn't port this game), even the fighting poses of the regular enemies as well as the characters can't be compared to dw6 movements aren't as smooth -a lot of glitches, like when jumping over walls where the camera just keeps shaking, or when walking close to the wall and the camera angle is a little too close to the wall, it gets really messy, and causes straight to the brain pain lol (over exagurating a little). -the stories are a little too much of a mash up. i mean playing some outside characters or mixing in a couple of sw characters into a shu scenario is great, but if i'm playing shu, it would have been way cooler to play mostly shu, and have just a few extra characters. but i'm still enjoying the hell out of it. and it's going to take me forever to finish with everybody and get them to (whatever the max level is here 60/99), which i know a lot of people don't like about games, but i love (and it's the reason i don't buy games like heavenly sword or prototype, cause it's over too easy). there are just so many characters in this game! xD i do think there is one more thing you guys could really help me with! i'd suppose the listing of the skills is always in the same order in every game. can somebody link or upload to a youtube video or screen cap that shows all the skills names available? i can find out what they do myself, i guess if i google it. just want to know where they are placed (in which box) so i know which chinese characters are what. oh and..in the pre battle menu, i think the 5th or so selection leads you to 3 other selections, the second one is weapon fusion, what's the first 1 there? it shows a list of: CHINESE CHARACTERS x 00 what is that about? i didn't want to mess with anything there because i really wasn't sure, i guess that wasn't in wo1. |

http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/ps2/file/944760/53003 You can look at that guide for the upgrade skills, dont worry they are in order. Although the weapon effect requirments for the weapons is the only thing I really see you having a problem with as you wont be able to translate them via the Japanese guide. Especially cause these are never in any order when they are attached to a weapon, flame, flash, brave or in random spots. That was the only thing I needed a translation guide when playing the game. Because as you can see some things like upgrade skills and abilities are in order the same way they were in WO2 at least. @FourWisdoms: wrong, Kanji is Japanese text, not Chinese. So those in the guides wont help. Edited by Jasonic, Sun Aug 23, 2009 8:51 am.

Kanji is a form of Chinese text, yes. That is just Orgin though. Kanji is the written language used by the Japanese. The Chinese use a different form of characters known to be Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese, (the differences are signaficant from the Kanji used in Jap), in which one is used im sure in the Asian version of MOZ. |

you guys are truly amazing, thank you so much for the quick reply. i can't believe you guys are up! i always thought most the chinese characters were used in japanese as well. but i checked with the list and some of the characters are so not the same. for example i know the characters to hai and iie, but in the chinese version there are completely different characters there. and in the menu, as well. for example in japanese this is how you'd say controller settings コントローラ設定 but chinese i think only use the last 2 characters (because they look like they could've been chinese or have chinese origin), sorry but even though i'm japanese, and work part time at a sushi bar, i really don't know much about the language. (i'm so glad i understand most of the conversations though), because they talk fairly slowly. i noticed that in the menu, when i almost blacked out thinking "God has my kanji knowledge completely obliterated?" which is why i didn't bother checking my mails for the translations afterwords. i'll give it another shot and see if the elements are the same. never mind jasonic-san cleared it up, always to my rescue. i do believe the kanji for ice is the same as in chinese, because i think i noticed it on one of the weapons i randomly tossed a couple of kanjis into slots on. |

what's the maximum level u can get with the characters? i tried a 3 star difficulty with 3 level 34-37 characters on hard, which was almost impossible to beat. musashi is my absolute hero right now. |

Regular level is well... regular level the one that has effects on your characters' attributes (Life, Musou, Speed etc).Prof. level doesn't stand for Professional! It's Proficiency which supposedly make your characters' R1 specials stronger and increases defense! And in WO2 you need that to unlock gallery pictures, I'm not quite sure if it's still the same in MOZ! |

sorry for spamming this thread with all my unworthy questions, but how do you activate or get to the proficiancy levels? another question: i'm still on shu, had to go back to shu 2-x trying to get jiang wei, who is apparently the only character i didn't get in my shu runthrough. i read a walkthrough and it says i'm supposed to successfully ambush him in the center of the map, by leading all my pupils to the center. but the center is just a hole in the map, so i tried leading them to the bottom, but still didn't see, or get him. |

Proficiency levels up as you defeat enemies: 1 Officer = 100 soldiers 1 Proficiency Point = 5 officers or 500 soldiers As far as Shu 2-X, you have to go to the west and east to "lure" the enemy into the center. Just head out towards the officers (don't need to attack them), then when you get close enough, they should start talking and then begin to follow you. Make sure they follow you back to the center. If they start to go back, take out a few of their soldiers to draw them back in If it works, Jiang Wei will appear and ambush them

great thanks mr honda! u mean the top center where ur units are rather than the bottom center where the enemies are, right? where do u see the prof level? mmm the fact that tada honda isn't stronger than lu bu in this game is simply blasphemy. can't wait to get either though. i should stop playing with musashi though, because he's on level 51 now, none of my other characters have even reached level 35 yet.i just finished shu. |

Yes, to the best of my knowledge. From what I remember, its where you begin the battle I just got WO on PSP, but I'm in Wu story now ... Otherwise, I'd check to make sure Prof level is shown in the Team Info screen ... not sure how to direct you with the Chinese/Japanese language barrier, but its the screen where you can see your characters and their levels and weapons. The number will be below their stats for life, attack, defense, etc. and be a number **/50 They both have the same base attacks on their weapons ... If I recall, Tadakatsu is actually stronger than Lu Bu in this game, unless MOZ made more moveset tweaks
