lol sorry for that que? post. Anyways, I still think that these two new people should have just been saved for the inevitable WO3, only for ps3 and 360, and should only use DW6 and SW3 characters. I think WO3 should be a reboot of the story, and it should be done more epic and such, with huge battles between many playable characters, and NOT a ton of generics in every level. Thats realy something I always HATED about the WO franchise. I mean, you have about 90 unique characters to make some massive battles with, and as it stands, about 2/5ths of that roster can never be fought against as an enemy in wo1 and 2.

If that two new ppl was being saved to WO3....Then why should koei have WOZ at first,it will not attaracts any ppl therefore WOZ just kind of teasears game for us and koei will SHOW it true power after this WOZ.....And do not say the graphic sucks before you even havent starts to play....

Wait for one of the Moderaters play it and probably give us what is the pros and cons of WOZ....

And Andreas....you will never knew whether Americans and Europens will or will not like this game but I am sure Asian will really like this game!Even though they put Guan Yin but now lots of Asian they would not compare games to religious UNLESS koei really dares to put Guan Ying as Orochi side or..... the design is too matured......

having played dw5e, sw2xl, sw2e, and wo2 on 360, I can safely say that this game has the same quality graphics as those, as all of those have the same graphics of each other, and this game runs off of the same engine. DW6 may have not been a GREAT upgrade on graphics, but they are still much better than this game.

The reason for WOZ, is for people to play WO AND WO2 on the PS3. Not everyone in the world owns a PS2/360/PSP to play WO2. Yes, people can play WO2/WO on the PS3, but not all PS3s are Backward Compatible. So there's your reason for WOZ. Also, PS3 owners have not received WO and WO2 early (PSP didn't have previous musou games too but it did get WO and WO2), so why not sweeten the deal by adding additional content and characters?

First, I read a lot of post with "they should work on other titles like Samurai Warriors 3 and Dynasty Warrior 6 Empires"
You think the entire KOEI Company is working on the same game? KOEI has a lot of teams which work on different games, so that they can make multiple games at the same time. They are already working on SW3 and DW6E, but also on WOZ

Then, I read a lot of "the graphics are bad".
As Foomin already said, graphics aren't KOEI good side. They will improve but it will go very slowly. The change of graphics from DW4 to DW5 also wasn't that great.

And why shouldn't there be WOZ? You don't want it, don't buy it. But there are many people who want it. Just because you prefer another game doesn't have to make you say "there shouldn't be a WOZ".

And I don't think this is game is even possible on PS2. 140 stages, and 96 characters seems a bit much for a normal PS2 disc. It is perhaps possible if they would use 2 discs.

you know, maybe they had this planned out a long time ago. i mean, they gave ps2 owners DW6 with extra content. kind of like a DW6 special. so maybe they think this would make a good balance for a ps3 game with extra content. but for me, when i look at the shelves at gamestop and see all those different games that i really don't know well, i like to see a familiar game that i KNOW i'm gonna enjoy know matter what and get my two cents worth. besides, i can sell WO2 back and maybe another game and the remaining balace will fell like buyin a XL game.

No Koei kinda dropped the ball on DW6 on the Ps3 and Xbox 360, primarily becuse in Japan, that's why users upgraded there systems from PS2's to PS3's. Then they realised a version of DW6 special that's on the PS2 with more content. Which to my knowledge next gen systems can't even download for a price yet, even though both systems are able to handle such editions and when player see a another game that can get additonal lvls, characters, etc. downloaded the question become "Why can't Koei do it too?" I personally believe it is becuase Koei prefers disc sales over downloads.

both wo1 and wo2 discs were about 40% filled. and even if they could get to 100% filled by combining them, why not use a dvd9 disc like the english dw6s, which let them fit all of it onto one disc?

Well so far I haven't picked up any of the WO games mainly because I have never viewed the series as anything other than a cashcow for Koei. I may just get this however, for the sake of "completeness" I'm a sucker for collector's things and this looks to be the definitive WO game and I've also been interested in trying out some of the WO exclusive characters (Yoshitsune, Kiyamori, Benkei) for quite some time now.

About the campaign, the deadline will be 24 February, and the prize will be none other than a free copy of MOZ for 30 lucky winners. So most likely this is only applicable for those who live in JP.

The goddess of mercy - wow that was unexpected.

I expect her to be quite reserved and to be honest boring as character but magical in moveset. This is a master stroke choice of a pick on KOEIs front id say - one no one here really saw coming  . Wonder if this choice for a new addition was to appeal to an even wider audience ^_^

Now this brings us to the plot and how she and Benkei for that matter will come into it - will they be involved in any form with the story modes or just simply be playable. It would be great to see both developed in some form outside the daft OTT dream stages - as well as see some banter between our new additions and the likes of Sun Wukong, Yoshitsune and Kiyomori as well as the others.

Finally which forces will they be on - the more i think about it the more i think they will be dream mode characters alone (playable in story but not involved in any way with it). I cannot fathom her being on the side of evil though (i guess theyve seen Gyuki and Dodomeki as sufficient enchancing on the evil front for now)

Please KOEI make these new characters DLC for the 360, the new dream modes would be a great bonus as well but i would happily settle for just the new characters (would it be hard to add them in - if they dont affect the story and only feature in there exclusive dream modes...i sure hope not_

After careful review of the new screenshots, it may suggest a 4th costume for every character! (DW3 costumes!!!!!!) This would be an excellent addition. Also, I counted 12 new Dreamstages (although there could be even more).

The graphics look great, but I hope KOEI fixes the CG movies and the lag on some levels.

i'll point out, that before i made my decision that the character was Lady Shizuka, i DID put forth Quan Yin as a choice, both here and in the WO Character Wishlist thread in the Ideas area. however, i was roundly told that the Chinese Buddhists would not approve of such a thing since QY is such a beloved and peaceful goddess.

so, it's not as though the idea was never brought up, i just accepted that the Chinese would know what they were about, and i sort of agreed, in a way.

i will be anxious to see how KOEI handle the more troubling aspects of making the Goddess of Compassion into a Warrior.

You know.................. alot of people here keep asking for a 360 DLC of the new characters and I agree. (at a reasonable price of course $10 isn't bad)

If we really feel so strongly we should make a big list of the names of people who wants this. (of course we should also ask for the new stages as well)

It wont happen. A game has to be initialy dlc enabled for that to work. Look at DW6, that wasn't dlc enabled, while SW2XL was dlc enabled in the beginning. (download guards and horses >_>) Thats the only reason 360 got SW2XL

The ps2 version of dw6 may have had 6 new weapons move-sets (notice how I didn't say character) and more stages but i wouldn't say it was an upgrade.

Looking at it on youtube the graphics are lower, their is no swimming and I haven't seen a single defense captain. (correct me if i'm wrong)

now as for woz I notice wukong does have the gold headband on wo2 and now that they are adding guan/quan yin all I have to say is poor monkey.

agreed. that SW2:XL fiasco was really bad, waiting and waiting, and then all the DL problems. i ended up just buying it on PS2, as i had both 360 and PS2 versions. KOEI just does not seem to care much for this sort of marketing or game playing.

and Tempest~there are defense captains, everywhere in DW6:PS2, and swimming was a stupid, stupid addition anyhow, it made me want to pull out my hair. the worst thing that can be said about DW6:PS2 is that the slowdown was monumental, and the pop-in's were unbearable. the graphics were fine, no worse than WO2, SW2 or DW5...but that's entirely off topic.

and again, i'll point out that KOEI has never cared much about their graphics, either.

lol i dl'd sw2xl about 2 months ago and it worked great for me

I liked swimming, it made the levels feel much more open and natural, though they need to simply let you jump out whenever.

i think(don't quote me tho') that SW2:XL came out Q4 2007, and i don't think it was available for DL until Q1 2008. and at first, there were all sorts of issues with the DL, they fixed it eventually...my point was that KOEI's just not have a very good track record at OL enterprises.

i know the whole swimming thing has become a debate, my way of looking at it is i'd rather have two new characters, than swimming. that applies to all future KOEI games as well, climbing was great. swimming~PFFFFT.
