They most likely will get new costumes, or Da Qiao, Meng Huo, Jiang Wei and Zhu Rong might get their DW3 ones. Meng Huo COULD be getting his DW6E, but I find that unlikely. |

^ Fix'd The very thought of a speedo-clad Meng Huo devouring people with his massive gauntlets and belly flops ... I would assume more classic outfits for those characters who have been in previous versions, but not in DW6. |

Thanks for getting that image stuck in my head Honda Among all the returning costumes, its the SW1 alternates I really want to see. Probably the only other time where Koei really put thought into the looks. Edited by Xalfrea, Thu Feb 5, 2009 4:20 pm.

Sun Jian with his DW6 look, and that timid WO voice just wont match. But seeing Lu Bu with his Sky Scorcher and that all black look would be really nice. Cao Ren really has me buggin' at the moment. His DW6 model is really bulky, and in his pre DW6 incarnations, his buckler was the largest thing on him. Now it would be dwarfed in comparison to his armor....guess he will really be a tank now |

Too bad he'll still be nerfed ... (Assuming of course they don't tweak any characters/movesets/etc) As far as Cao Ren goes, I think his DW6 tank outfit will be a perfect fit for his over-powered WO2 moveset. He destroys everything in his path as it is (Same assumption as above ^) |

Agreed there. Some DW6 looks mixed with DW5, uh, everything else, would look really jarring, cool, or downright creepy for some people. Jarring-Sun Jian, Sun Ce, SSX, Xiahou Dun, Ma Chao Cool-Cao Cao, Lu Bu, Cao Ren, Gan Ning, Lu Meng, Wei Yan Creepy-Dong Zhuo |

i've been thinking about A.)how excited alot of folks will be to have Gan Ning back with his pirate scimitar, running Musou and his DW6 looks AND B.)Zhang He and his high heels and ALL that zipping about he does in his DW5 MS, it'll be so great to hear him say "Beauty, Come To Me..." and how cool Da Ji looks in the "Jeannie" costume, i disliked her in WO, she took so long to get and was so difficult to control, she was sort of an afterthought for me. but she was easily my favorite character in WO2, with her superior plot development, augmented MS and her skanky wit. |

I can definitely see where you're coming from. I will also repspect different opinions too, and if everyone had the same aspect on everything, the series would be too boring anyway! There needs to be controversey!! lol!!! In regards to the scans though, KOEI can definitely modernize them, like foomin said. I remind everyone that the original DW3 scans were done probably before 2001, compared to the new highly detailed models created in 2008 for WO2. I am sure you will get designs on Fu Xi's red pants, a detailed body, hair that doesn't look like it is plastered to his head, and his sash hanging from his hip that will move even more fluidly. In regards to Nu Wa, I like youthful over older - that being blackish/brown hair over the old geezer greyish/white. Her body is youthful though But I want the serious Nu Wa that entered the series in 2001 in full armor with all her decorations and not some mystic realm time jumping prostitute with a Zhen Ji-like personality. However, I would also support the idea of transfering clothing from the original to the newer one. That might be interesting... We'll just have to wait and see what KOEI has up their sleeve for this little treat. If they are not DW3 costumes, then I hope to God they are NOTHING like their disgraceful 3rd outfits in WO2. |

Never realized how skanky original Nu Wa is(belly-flashing doesn't work well with that outfit either...) She's showing even MORE skin than WO2 Nu Wa since WO2 Nu Wa has her arms mostly covered in long gloves. And her hair is a mix of silver and GREEN(sorta jade?), not gray. Get your eyes checked sometime? Making poor, made-up comments about the current Nu Wa in favor of the old one is tactless. Nostalgia blinds you greatly, Hanzo. As for old Fu Xi... still looks like a generic bruiser with a big sword. Looks too similar to the light armor CAW from DW5E. New Fu Xi doesn't look mystic (not like he's MEANT to anyway) but he at least looks more formidable and like someone important. |

The new additions are looking good, don't get me wrong. But if the story(stories) are pretty much the same, with the exception of some new dream stages, then, essentially, isn't it JUST a port with some new added goodies? Not saying that's a completely bad thing. I don't care what others said about DW6S. It still felt like a port, with 6 new stories and different weapons. I had already played both the Japanese and English version of DW6 before touching DW6S, and honestly... what fun the games did have was sucked right out of it, because in essence, it was just the same game on the PS3. Had I not played DW6 before that, I would have enjoyed it so much more. I just hope that same feeling doesn't hit me if I decide to get WOZ. Maybe I'm too picky, but new/already done costumes and a grand total of 4 new characters are simply not enough to make me want to get the same game again, if I've already played the hell out of the other two. I'm hoping that there will be more content, so that I feel it's worth purchasing again. I'm a tweener- sometimes it takes very little to get me excited, and other times it takes an arm and a leg just to make me consider something. |

Essentially it is a port, just instead of porting one game at a time, ts both with a few extra goodies, as PS3 exclusives, which isn't unheard of. when 6 was ported to the PS2 it got the six stories as PS2 exclusives, Marvel Ultimate Alliance got exclusives for every system it was on. In my mind, WOz is nothing ut a port to give the PS3 users what they missed, plsu extra to make up for it, much like what KOEI did for the PS2 version of DW6. It's not a new game, it's the same two games in one with a few stages, two extra characters, and some new alternate outfits for the characters. While, if I did have a PS3, i would buy this....but still, it is essential the same two games we all played to death before. Just now we get to play to death with two new characters... |

Why? If that did happen (which it will....trust me. this is koei we're talking about) the heavens would open. I'd expect it to be only 360 related instead of PS2, because I believe the X-box has more disc space. |

Actually, that's not true. The 360 uses the same DVD9 format that the PS2 is capable of. Now whether you can fit both of these games plus the new features on a single DVD9 is another story... though I could see how it would be possible. IIRC both WO1 and WO2 were slightly under 4GB, so if that's true then it should fit. If not though then there's certainly nothing saying they couldn't just use two DVD5s, though that would probably cause the games to be separated rather than combined, and cause all sorts of problems.... |

THATS what I mean. All that PS2 has no room for these games is just pure bullsh...crap! All throughout the years, they had many different methods of getting XL's on the same disc as the originals...infact they ALL have been! They just lock out the content until they see you have the original disc. Do you realy think that it takes 2 seconds to load all that data from the original disc? Its because its not realy loading anything but a disc ID! |

Yes I think too, maybe this is last edition of Orochi series. so Koei work hard for complete their task to make us satisfied so they work for maximum as they can. but if continue, how about story? Orochi has end in second series and Guan Yin (probably) will come to clear all. One notes, Guan Yin is not only in Journey to the West, I write this because many people say Guan Yin from Journey to the West but in fact, Guan Yin come all time until all creature free from suffering

HAHA. You realy think this is the end of the Orochi series? Realy? The Orochi series is Koei's HUGE money maker now. And we all know just how much Koei loves money, they would be idiots to end the series now... |

Ya there is no way this will be the end. 360 users will definitely have the chance to play as Benkei and supposively Guan Yin. And I dont mean that by this game going to 360, because that discussion is just ridiculous. I mean that im sure there will be a WO3 sometime in the future and hopefully it will be a 360/PS3 only game. PS2 needs to die(not that I dont like it, i love it. But Sony's light needs to pass on to the PS3 already) |

And the only thing missing from all this is CAW. Well, seeing as how I haven't owned, or even played WO1 or 2, this'd be great for me...only if they bring it to the 360, which I'd imagine they would, since almost all their newer games are for 360 as well. Hell, if they can claim a sequel as big as SW3 is a Wii exclusive, they could surely bring WOZ to the Xbox. |

I suppose ill go easy on you, as i bet you havent read through this topic. But no, it wont come to the 360, because this isnt a sequal, its a port of both games with a few extras. It would practically be like rereleasing the games over again. |
