Tadakatsu's theme from SW3 and the Honnoji themes, especially the first one. SW2's Osaka castle is also beautiful.

Most of my favourites are from SW2. There are:
1. Tadakatsu's Theme, though lately I like SW3 version better
2. Rescue Battle (some stages, like Mitsunari Rescue, Village Rescue, etc)
3. Odawara Castle
4. Osaka Castle
5. Nagashino
6. Activity (Nene's Dream Melee At Sekigahara)
7. Retreat Battle (some stages, one of them is Magoichi's Escape From Honnoji)
8. Yamazaki
9. Decisive Battle
10. Mikatagahara
11. Kawanakajima

My favourite is now probably the SW3 soundtrack!! The tunes are so amazing and well composed. I really like all the traditional sounding instruments they really work so well with the music and it sounds very authentic. ^^ I still have not played the game but I listen to the music because its so incredible. >w<

SW4 Okehazama (Oda): That fast rhythm and deep beats combine into a storm of raging proportions. Oda's intimidating voice and this soundtrack is perfect.

SW2: City of Flowers: Yep. :)

SW4 Osaka Castle (Toyotomi): So sad and dramatic... :(

SW4 Kawanakajima (both sides): Takeda wants you to rock and roll, Uesugi wants you to get up and dance! :D

Raging Waves: The most Japanese sounding of the soundtracks IMO due to the roaring Shamisens.

My favorite soundtrack that isn't in the game is the one that plays on the Samurai Warriors Anime in Ep.11 towards the end, after Nene and Ieyasu talk. I think it deserves to be Osaka in SW5

I actually don't have an SW song that particular stuck with me other then its DW and especially its Orochi counterparts.

In fact music is the only area I'd say Dynasty warriors completely blows Samurai Warriors out of the water in.

Well, I have to disagree there  I've always liked SW's soundtracks more than DW's in general.

As for my favorite BGM from SW series all time, it's probably City of Flowers and its subsequent remixes in SW2 & SW4 :kemari:

Curse SW3 for not remixing it :nope:

Perhaps Sw beats DW in same stages but it doesn't have songs they stick in the way Jin's Chendu or thousand suns do.

The reason I like SM soundtrack more than dynasty is because excitement should be translated in more ways than a guitar rift.
Only recently dynasty has made an effort to include a strong essence of culture into their soundtrack.
SENGOKU have always tried to add a diverse plate into theirs.

In terms of notable mentions.

Isukishima (SM4)
It's probably the best collaboration of traditional and Modern music for the album.
The backing beat is on point, the melody is strong, the piano key are in the right place everything is timed to give it all space.

And the beauty of this track, it's the first one for the Mori so it shouts Adventure.

Yamasaki (SM1)
Was very dramatic in the sense that it depicted Mitsuhide has a murderer as opposed to a savior.

Yamasaki (SM4) - Toyotomi.
Was kinda symbolic as it was the end of one era and the start of a new one.
(almost like saying good bye)

Odawara (SM 2, 3, 4)
Going by 4's version it's always had this grand under tone that the unification of Japan had one more obstacle.
(It's as if each version has gotten better as a Hojo character is added).

Osaka castle (SM 1, 2)
This tracks editions has always had a gloomy atmosphere, and did justice in depicting a last stand.

Mimigawa (SM4)
It's the piano that stands out for me and is one of few tracks in the series that it dominates on.
So it makes it different and allows the traditional instruments to be inventive.

Honnoji (Musou Orochi 2)
This is the first impression I got that the next SM game (4) will out do itself on the soundtrack.

It's sounds adventurous, bold, fresh and rich in culture.
and in true sengoku musou style was mixed effortlessly with techno keys and a backing beat.

Kawanakajima (SM4)
This track was for the young blood that finally had a voice in this battle.
As the old track reflected shingen and kenshin in their strategy and wit.
I feel this version accurately envisions a more pumped up version of events.

Confidential (SM1)
Slicing doors with Hanzo brings me back...
and with it being an indoor castle stage it had a really nice change to how the game is usually played.

It's a minimal and effective piece of music

Main Title (SM4)
Generally speaking I could of easily added another stage track.

But I choose this, as its like a symbol of where the games come from.

With its horizon like vibe, y'know the type of track that would play while a character would gaze out towards the landscape, with dreams of a successful conquest.

Shows that this series is established, well and truly.

a bit OT but does anyone have the SW4-II track titled "Samurai Warriors"? it's basically the main theme of the series, but done in a "full version" way of sorts instead of just a 1 minute track like the OP music

funny how nobody seems to upload it in YT yet..

My favorite soundtrack would have to be from Samurai Warriors 3; the Taiko drum ensemble seems much more intense than in SW2.

My favorite is Surging Chaos, Western Army in SW4. Just has so much emotion and epicness at the same time for such a huge and epic battle(I also like the East side theme but I hate the Eastern Army. They're just so evil).

The only soundtrack from SW that I still remember fondly off is Tadakatsu's SW2 theme. I always played that in the Empires spinoff every. single. battle. I just love how it pumps you up in a way.

SW2 is my favorite. SW4 is very good and SW1 is just so nostalgic and it always brings back memories when I played SW1 as a kid.
