Spirit of the sanada is cool title. but, no english dub.
People really need to get out of this mindset of even expecting dub with Koei games, especially the 'Warriors' series. If they ever return to it again for DW9 then great, other than that then it's just a debatable unfortunate loss we all need to get over fast.

All vanilla DW games and their XL expansions were dubbed. The only exceptions were the Empires expansions of 7 and 8, for no real reason, specially because they promised they would be.

Yeah! I don't like English dub because bad voice acting, example generic strategist said "Perfect timing. I was looking for an opportunity to test my new tactics.". i just hate quotes this. I'll make mute or change voice to japanese.

Cao Cao is the only reason I use English dub and there's the fact reading while in action is ANNOYING

I'm honestly happy if DW only does English VA and SW sticks to JP VA
tho I do miss SW2 Nobunaga it was just that simple sniff sniff :'c

When there was dub, people complained about the dub and wanted subs. Then they made subs, and people complained about the subs, and wanted dub. In the minds of Koei execs, this translates to "they want both subs and dub, so they can ignore the dub we paid for - not going to happen"

for DW i USED to care about dubs since they are superior to the JP VA due to the hilarity of the voice and translation script, but ever since they changed to a non hammy VA's from DW6 onwards i stopped caring about whether it's dub or sub, i just want it in Engrish so i don't have to look up guides when equipping stuff

for SW i never really cared about the dub in the first place ever since SW1, they aren't as funny as DW and SW1 has dual audio, Sub all the way....especially for Nobunaga and Mitsuhide

About dubs, I'm glad personally as I don't like to have them, also I don't like when the localized game has only dub audio but no original at all. Though it's too bad for those who do want to have them.

I played Assassin's Creed 2 and Brotherhood in spoken Italian language too and it was great. :D Also played Unity in French.

One reason I got bored watching Marco Polo on netflix because it's in English. Maybe I should give it another chance though.

On the other hand, if I played DW I'd probably like Eng dubs over Japanese dubs. Somehow I thought they had Chinese voice acting. :D

Go to Options and change it then. Besides, do you think the quotes in Japanese have variation? You should notice they all have two specific words in the quotes they use after defeating an enemy officer.

indeed, the kill quotes for the JP version is less varied than the dub, and i guess it's a tradition? even way back in Capcom's Dynasty Wars/Tenchi wo Kurau 2 in the 90's all they scream is "Tekishou, Uchitottari!!!!" whenever a boss died

Even when the voice says "tekishou, uchitottari!" the English subtitles say something unique for each character, that's a nice touch. I'm not native english speaker, so it's actually easier reading what I need to do next or what are the characters talking about.
Anyway, I've expecting this game a couple of months already. A little more won't hurt. Day one for me.

Not quite, the kill quotes in the Japanese dub are all, technically, the same sentence in translation, but the exact wording and tone is tailored to suit each character's personality (formal, informal, aggressive, arrogant, superior, etc). That is why some characters say "uchitottazo", and other "uchitottaze" or "uchitottari", a Japanese speaker or someone who dabbles a lot in imports would pick up the small nuances, which add to the tone. In English the only way to accurately bring the point across is to add further variation to the quotes as there is only one way to say "enemy officer defeated" even if there is multiple tone variants.

Yeah i am surprised this is getting a Steam Release but not complaining really, more Koei-Tecmo games on Steam the better i say. and Chacha's sanada theme costume looks awesome, looks better then Ina, Kai, and Kunoichi's. Even if those 3 are some of my faves.

i have no clue where i would have to pre-order the game tho since i never had to do so.

the english title definitely fits the Sanada game, just has that sort of badass vibe to it.
It doesn't look like its available on Amazon to pre-order (yet) so your best bet would be to preorder at a GameStop (gross!). I recall that with SW4II the NIS online store was doing pre-sales of it for some reason and it was the only place you could get the collector's edition. No word on them doing another CE for Spirit of Sanada but maybe NIS will offer pre-sales?

Yeah hopefully gamestop does the pre-order as i have no idea where else i would pre-order it at. and i mainly would want to pre-order the game so i can get Chacha's Sanada themed Costume.

No this game does not have a create a character unlike SW4, 4-2, 4: Empires, or Samurai Warriors Chronicles 3. this game only has all the Characters from SW4 + 4-2 from the past games, plus the base gameplay from SW4.

Well, I'm assuming you know the roster, so no he isn't in the game as a playable character. As for him being in the game at all, I'm uncertain, but I believe I remember seeing that his son got pretty glossed over too.

As far as I am aware Daisuke is glossed over as much as Akihime, or Hideyori (in this game anyway). as Hideyori pretty much doesnt exist.

as for anyone who wants to pre-order the game and may be different depending where you live. but so far doesnt seem gamestop has it for pre-order. As so far i only see it on amazon via here and i am not 100% confident if this is legit or just some third party group. https://www.amazon.com/Samurai-Warriors-Spirit-Sanada-PlayStation-4/dp/B06WD86PLZ/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1487888511&sr=1-1&keywords=Spirit+of+Sanada it may become avaliable for pre-order at other locations later tho.

and on topic at hand. Daisuke is most likely not in the game. and the only Sanadas we got, Playable and Unique NPC Wise. is Masayuki Sanada and Yukimura/Nobuyuki's Sister, Lady Muramatsu (who should of been playable).

Oh lol I noticed that one of Yukimura's wives does appear in Sanadamaru as a generic village girl. She doesn't say or do anything special.

It's his first wife Hotta Sakubei's sister (or as other theories say daughter). Hotta is a NPC in the game as well however also very generic.

Sakubei's sister

Hotta Sakubei

Hotta Sakubei's sister was Yukimura's original legal wife and the mother of his first child Kiku/Sue. There are theories that she was also the mother of his second daughter Ichihime/Oichi however most of the time Ichi is said to have been the daughter of wife nr. 2 Takanashi Naiki's daughter.

Anyway Kiku/Sue was adopted by Hotta Sakubei and didn't follow Yukimura into exile however Yukimura stayed in contact via letters and Hotta aided Yukimura during the Siege similar to Takanashi Naiki and Akihime's brother Yoshiharu.

Hotta Sakubei's sister is said to have been degraded or divorced from Yukimura so that Akihime could get the title of legal wife due to being the mother of the heir Daisuke.

In Sanadamaru she is portrayed by Kuroki Haru.

She dies during the Siege of Ueda in the Taiga but there are no historical proofs for this since material says that she was probably still around when Akihime joined the Sanada clan.
The Taiga just wanted Akihime to become legal wife much quicker and easier and also made Akihime very similar to Yukimura's first wife on purpose so that he wants her out of danger.

I won't be too happy if we didn't get a physical release, it's probably one of my most anticipated SW games and for it to be download only would be a shame. I've never downloaded a game before (outside of DC Universe but that got deleted pretty quickly  ) and I won't start now. I'd understand NA getting it as DLC only but not the UK, we've never been treated that way.

I am going to assume it has a physical release as i myself pre-ordered it. and as you mentioned is a very anticipated SW game with all its RPG feature, its sort of open-world village, how you can access other modes through the village, and how it has a aging system as well as a night/day cycle.

and personally only time i digitally download something is when i had no choice and because i didnt have a PS4 at the time.
