6 Hours+ into the game (I'm up to Chapter 4) and I had a good feeling about this game, Like I love this game The multi-stage battles are interesting, the Exploration Stages are fun and It ran smooth on the PC. Then out of boredom I checked the Steam Forums for the game and.....Holy there is Salt everywhere like a room full of it sadly i ran out of some popcorn reading some but its something i'm not going back to lol. Anyways I like the new weapon Masayuki Sanada has I think I may give that weapon to Eric (or Efrain) Lacarde if I do Another Castlevania Warriors.
Glad to see someone else is getting the game to run smooth on PC. I bought it even with seeing the mixed reviews, and was pleasantly surprised that despite what others were saying "barely running 30fps and struggling to get 45fps on low settings", I'm able to play 60fps on max.

Just goes to show someone else problem won't necessarily be yours as well. :D :2up:
Actually I'm one of those people with the low FPS, but I chalked that up to having an ancient video card.

The PC crowd is unpleasable.

----------

I've spent most of my day collecting Rare Weapons. It is real easy once you get a chain going (as usual). Ina is now my highest level character because of it, but I'm trying to spread the love a little because I know I'm going to be needing some of these other people (like Hanzo).

Not sure if anyone caught on to this, or saw this vid, but this stage is insanely good for grinding very early in the game, Battle of Hitokotozaka. Had my Masayuki's Weapon and moveset maxed out in a handful of runs on top of it being easy to build up Strategems. Run any character through this a few times and they will be more than ready for dealing with story stuff. Best part is you don't even have to do anything special, the stage is just perfectly designed for easy grinding.

That and I've been taught that nothing anything and everything can't please the world you will always have a group of people getting salty but I tend to ignore that and just play when I f eel like playing speaking of which back to playing some more lol.

Man this game really heats up in chapter 6. This is definitely one of my favorite Warrior games and I love the story direction they went with this game.

I'm on Chapter 9. Got a lot of Rare weapons in the meantime, notably ones for Kunoichi and Nobuyuki.

Spoiler: click to toggle

There are some Strategems which you can totally skip over and that's mostly a judgment call, but only in rare cases should you proc all of them anyway.

Although word of advice on Nobuyuki's weapon: don't bother with the Feat to capture all of the bases, that takes up too much time.

So far I am enjoying it .I think the game will take a lot of time to finish especially if you aren't rushing things . I am playing on hard difficulty and I haven't finished chapter 1 so far .

So, I didn't play the game yet, but I saw a playthrough in Japanese that had a monk-like CAW guy in a stage that looked a lot like Ösaka Bay. Is that Kennyo?

I just went straight to Hard mode. It's how I tend to play Warriors games these days.

Right now I haven't run into any major problems (in Chapter 2, and I think I'm fairly close to the end of it). Though when going back to grind, I notice that missions become dramatically more difficult if you aren't using stratagems. I declined to use stratagems a few times to try and build up a supply of Sanada coins, and was quite caught off-guard by how much harder it gets like that.

The last one: Before you defeat any of guard captains, you go to the right side (into the base) and trigger the objective.

You need to be on at least Hard mode. You won't get them on Normal or Easy.

----

I'm at Chapter 14.

Spoiler: click to toggle

By the way for those of you going nutso collecting materials... you don't need to. I have hundreds of some material and I've yet to use most of it.

So what factors in how many conch shells you get during the wilderness stages? i only have been able to unlock 2 characters: Naotora Ii and Nobunaga Oda. but not sure how you get conch shells other then going to those stages.

Spoiler: click to toggle

I think i am on like chapter 12 or so now. going to try to get Yukimura, Chacha, Kunoichi, and Masayuki's rare weapons once i learn how to obtain them.

also on a random thing to note: is it me or does it feel like Nene has a much bigger role in this game compared to SW4. which i kinda like that being my favorite character and all just was not expecting it

Finished the game. As I expected, the materials are really a sideshow; all that time lost fishing and farming went to naught.

Don't count on Yukimura or Chacha's weapons. Same with Sasuke. Kunoichi's is gotten the earliest.

In summary: don't be afraid to build up good weapons for Masayuki, Yukimura, Chacha, and Sasuke when you can, you WILL be using them.

Can I just say something about the day and night system from what I've seen so far... I fu**ing hate it. Now you're stuck on a tight clock to do every stage, what moron came up with that idea. Yes have the battle flow from day to night and have it's advantages, but don't let there just be half a cycle per battle. Now I feel like every stage is a damned rescue mission I have to clear in like 10 minutes and can't savour the moment or spend time reading the dialogue. What a horrible, horrible implementation of something quite unique.
