Incoming Rant

Ok this one mission is truly pissing me off that is the Landing at Izu Mission On Chapter 10 I'm trying to get Motochika and Koshosho's Rare weapon and every single attempts at this stage I always get the Allied Commanders Health Stays Over at a rank D or a C. Its very hard to keep the Supply Captains for not taking any damage or less damage there is missions all over the place that I had to abandon one of the Captains. Sighs This Mission is pulling my hair...I'm on Hard BTW...
THIS. It seems impossible, I've tried multiple times. Even when I stick with the supply troops they take so much damage.

Has anyone actually S ranked it?

this may of been asked or even answered and i apologize if it has. but does anyone think any of the NHK drama costumes will be avaliable for the west version or not? doesnt seem like it will be given how the DLC store has only updated with the DLC weapons.

Also i keep running into this bear into the explore area, and it says something about it being annoyed or something and have no clue what that is about

Well I'm not sure about the NHK armors, but the bear is a mount. If you find the bear enough times while exploring (I'd guess around 15-20) you'll eventually be able to use it as a mount

Keep visiting the bear and it will slowly befriend you.

Note that you have to be in at least chapter 13 to fully befriend the bear. Until you get to chapter 13 the bear will get stuck at the 'interested in you' friendship level.

Once befriended, you can buy it from a Castle Town NPC for the ludicrous, highway robbery price of... zero gold.

I would also like to know if we will be able to get the red antler armor for yukimura and the Sanada DLC Horse. along with some of the other DLC Costumes because so far all we are able to get is the DLC weapons and if you per-ordered the game, the Sanada themed costumes.

also does anyone know the best way to level up characters? i got the item that helps get EXP but i only got it at level 2 and cant seem to increase its level. and trying to level up certain characters so i can try to get the rare weapons.

Hey guys, quick question:

How in the heck do you make money in this game? It seems like I'm always running out of gold. I can't figure it out for the life of me. Is there an easy way to earn gold??

I sell materials that I have a surplus of, complete the sections in the exploration areas, and one of the treasures found in the exploration area makes gold much easier to find

I think the reason I struggled to get into this was because it was so different from the previous Samurai Warriors games, I thought with there being focus on the Sanada throughout I was going to love it and take my time with it therefore I think the problem I had with it is the fact you cannot take your time with this game. I thought we'd have a day and night cycle, but I thought it would still be for a 60 - 90 battle time and not something dumb like 8 - 20 minutes which forces you to be like on a strange and permanent time trial mode. After adjusting to the new battle system, I can say I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far in seeing how things change over time and really get a look into the Sanada/Takeda relationship without Yukimura overshadowing his father.

This game is really good with day and night system limited of time, I already finished the story and unlock all the cutscenes. The thing I don't like is the enemy's eyecatch with the eye icon and yellow circle highlight which they got me few times only for me to keep trying until successfully avoid the enemy's eyecatch. The game ends too quickly especially the final chapter has no battle at all, only walk around, watch the cutscenes and talk to peoples...

I've finished the game and I can say that I like it. I was loving it until the final chapter where Chacha displaced Hideyori. First and foremost, I love Chacha's character, but I feel the developers put themselves in a bind. As evident, they are afraid to touch the subject of concubines. But to keep to the positives, I thoroughly enjoyed Masayuki Sanada's character. He's a scheming, conniving strategist and I can't wait for SW5's gaiden stages where they pit strategists against each other as they are apt to do. Despite having a generic moveset, I adored Hidetada. His character broke the "land of peace" personality mold that the Tokugawa have been in. He's a pessimistic, antagonistic jerk. Hidetada gives no sh*ts about what anyone thinks and goes off the rails. My hopes are he will get the 100% unique treatment in SW5.

I also really Love Chacha's character but i personally also feel they could of added more of her manipulative nature into thier version as it was said she manipulated Hideyori, her own son to being pretty much a figurehead for the toyotomi and technically was part of the reason the osaka thing happened.

but SW wise, i really like her design and character but definitelly feel they could change her a bit and remove her crush for Yukimura in the next game.

Now onto Hideyori. I really feel this is definitely a problem, while Hideyori doesnt serve much purpose if he were playable he is still a central figure to the Osaka campaign. and the main target for the tokugawa. and the son of Hideyoshi and Chacha.

Koei really drove themselves into a corner because they want to keep positives and concubines are seen as a negative. and as of now we technically have two figures in SW who were concubines: Chacha and Kai. both Concubines to Hideyoshi, yet not touch upon. I will say this as a Nene Fan, that i think Nene is what really has caused the issues with this. but who knows they could find a way to fix this.

Hidetada also a pretty good character and broke the usual land of peace as u said for the tokugawa. i just am hoping when he returns in 5, that they keep his muscular and skinny model and dont bring back the dumb design of fat Hidetada. but i do agree he does need to be more unique alongside Katsuyori in 5.

I feel that if they made Chacha manipulative, then it would have clashed with the character they presented. Most fictional portrayals of Chacha are either a helpless maiden or a manipulative witch. I feel there's enough balance in this portrayal to stand out, but the developers have to get over the concubine issue. If they dance around it, it really gives the story as well as the history the middle finger. Ieyasu feared Hideyori for what he represented. Hideyoshi effectively made the shogunate obsolete by setting up the Toyotomi as the inheritors of the imperial regency. Hideyori, the son of Hideyoshi, the grandson of Nagamasa, and the great nephew of Nobunaga. That's a volatile cocktail if I've ever seen on. To just ignore the enormity of that because of their uneasy over concubines is silly. I'm not asking for Hideyori to be 100% unique. I think SW4-II, for all its flaws, did a magnificent job with Hideyori when they didn't do copy and paste battles from SW4.

It is still early. By the time SW5 comes around, who knows? Perhaps they'll get brave enough to acknowledge a few things. It took them until the 4th game to legitimately acknowledge that Oichi and Katsuie were a thing. There is hope for Chacha. But that's enough of that rant. I just hate wasted potential and poor story-telling when the option for something great was there but not seized.

Diverting to more positives, I loved Katsuyori. He's been a character I've wanted for a while. Him being friends with Masayuki works really well. I felt really bad for Katsuyori during the lead up to Nagashino. Grieving for his father while also being forced to succeed him. Harsh!

Yeah i do feel they should at least acknowledge the whole concubine thing even if it doesnt have a major impact on the narrative it should sitll be acknowledge. like technically speaking Kai is also a concubine and while she isnt as famous as Chacha is she still was one of Hideyoshi's concubines.

Hideyori also was as you said, Ieyasu feared what he represented. He was legitimately the Grand Son of Nobunaga Oda and the Son of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, he had the bloodline of two of the most infamous Tyrants in Japan. not to mention having the blood of Nagamasa Azai also made him a threat, and Hideyoshi setting up the imperial legacy did not help.

but who knows they may grow out of this by the time SW5 happens and Chacha's character may change and the same can be said about the concubine issue.

but i am in agreement glad to see Katsuyori is in too. even tho i personally would of liked Nobufusa Baba. but Katsuyori also works well for me. Katsuyori's inclusion hopefully means the Takeda will get more focus in the future

I wonder in sw5 which masayuki yukimura will be used and if they will have that in sw5 empires

I really Hope Kunoichi will have fully appeared the squirrel without musou attack in SW5. I just realized kunoichi seem to be like squirrel girl , also Hana Mutō from Captain earth and Amy from Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet.

I just realize kunoichi can joint attacks with her pet.

Why is there a topic called "Samurai Warriors 4 [v5]" to talk about Spirit of Sanada, but is there a topic of its own?

Is it really worth just playing this? I hear that besides story mode, it only has free mode (which most likely only include Yukimura's battles, with characters that will always use story mode dialogs.)

No caw mode?

And everything turms around Yukmiura, rather than focusing on various characters ... Which is funny, why I like Yukimura, Nobuyuki, Kunoichi, Ina... But I do not know if it's worth it. Maybe I'll buy the latest of the warriors orochi.

If this game is more accurate, then Hayakawa is not going to be in the Osaka Campaign (She died two years earlier)? What happened to Kai at the end of the game? Did she died or survived?

I'm asking this because I think Kai's friendship with Kunoichi is very forced. Yes, I know it was introduced with Kunoichi before Hayakawa, but Kunoichi is 100% fictional while Kai is more "accurate".

I do not know how to feel about the fact that Yukimura and Nobuyuki stole the look of Ujiyasu. :XD

At least, I also hear that "I need to continue with my warrior spirit!" attitude is more exploited.

While Hideyori is not made a solid and charismatic character, everyone who rebelled in Osaka seems a bit ... Fool, but I think if Chacha may have done some work for they. Rigth?

I also forgot about Fuuma, but as he is very focused on the Hojo clan then I doubt he is noticed. (The friendship of Kai and Fuuma was also much more interesting than Kai and Kunoichi. At least does Fuuma talk to Yukimura?),

Sorry if I'm missing something or sounding stupid.
