Well western society can't handle the whole concept of multiple spouses (2016) lol That new village/town system I'm loving that far better than dw8 XL town They even added it to where if u want to unlock the other characters u have to to do some stuff though I bet some people are going to whine about that demanding they should have everything free Participating in other battles also a nice feature I kind if miss SW2 XL mercenary story mode where u fight for whatever side until u have to pick a army to join |

Yeah, I'm liking that too. I feel it was about time they added that system to SW as well. It's always been somewhat barebones in DW, but hopefully here they have fleshed it out quite a lot. I've always wanted to see some sort of option to challenge your ally to a friendly duel in the village: it could be an optional task or mission and winning it would give you some a reward or two. But I'm not sure if we get to see that here, and with the current gameplay mechanics it probably wouldn't be that fun anyway... if the combat was more like Nioh (sorry I constantly praise that game everywhere, but it looks great), I guess it would be much more worth implementing. |

I hope you get to unlock better stuff in this game too. It really bothers me how, in SW4, you get to unlock nothing but characters, and in SW4II, all you get is Gracia's story and like 3 towel costumes. I want to feel like I am being rewarded for progress, the missions in every stage would be a great setup for unlockable costumes, I don't see why they don't use it. |

^ Related to that, I'm wondering how character unlocking is actually done in this game. We know that there's likely going to be just a single long story campaign that focuses on the Sanada clan (and a few other clans to a lesser extent). So if we go by SW4's style, characters are unlocked as you get to use them in the story for the first time... but here a lot of characters certainly won't be playable in the story so there kinda has to be another way. Maybe all of the non-central characters (the ones below the character relationship chart in the official site) can just be bought from a shop or something, like in SW3. I miss the time when characters were unlocked by clearing a certain character's story like in SW1 & SW2. But that can't really happen anymore because individual stories have been omitted (which was really a natural and logical way to go, though). |

The shell collector allows you to unlock characters if you give him shells. It was part of the batch of information released last week. |

And, let me guess, you get shells by fishing? If thats how it is, its a terrible thing, like, introduce an useless and boring minigame, like fishing into the game, and lock something important behind it to make it useful, specially annoying for those who already own SW4 or SW4II. |

Actually, article sais that you "find them during the course of the game", so I guess you'll have to run around to collect them. Fishing is for gathering fish Farm is for farming Shops are for shopping Edited by AntonKutovoi, Mon Oct 24, 2016 9:24 pm.

Ehhh... I'm being a pedant here, but technically, concubines weren't spouses. They were women who lived with a man and were technically his responsibility, but were lower on the social ladder than his wives in theory (though as Chacha showed after Hideyoshi's death, in practice they could have just as much if not more sway). I think that's the main problem. If she was a wife of his, they'd be less hesitant--- though it'd make her showing up before becoming an adult rather awkward. I like the idea of shells being used to unlock characters. That implies that you can choose who is unlocked first- which means I don't have to bother unlocking characters I don't care for, like Motochika. |

However in Chacha's case she had the same status as Nene after she presented Tsurumatsu and Hideyori. Legal wives were not secure. Nobuyuki's first wife for example had to make place for Ina. Or in Yukimura's case Akihime is just his defacto legal wife due to presenting two sons since he was married several times before. Another example would be Nagamasa Kuroda's wife Ito. She didn't present sons and had to make place for Eihime. Edited by Maya, Tue Oct 25, 2016 6:16 am.

Wut R U takin aboot mang? Western society was competing very harshly with Jepen back in the day for the aristocrats to have multiple affairs, even with their own family members while the common man just ate sh1t. If anything, Europe only "won" the competition because we bred some of the worst inbred aristocrats compared to Japan. The fishing idea is awesome, wodash should be a KOEI developer.

wel, the idea was just right there because Fishing is pretty much the only thing new they are introducing to this, it must have a bearing of importance, like unlocking characters, mounts and even fishing Ultimate Weapons hidden in the river ![]() and no, being a dev will invite heavy fire no mater what you do, i'd rather be a playtester for Basara, at least it'll guarantee i have fun while doing it without overthinking much, AND get paid too

They didn't say anything that important. Stuff like the Nobushige DLC costume was well received. The previous collaboration with the Kanbei drama in SW4, the use of the Nobunaga's Ambition map. How SW Yukimura differs from the Nobushige in the drama. |

Better convience Sugita and Nakamura to do that as well, have some company, just like Green River does with SRT, he calls some friends to "help him"...like Okiayu-san.

IDK why but I wouldn't be surprised if they did put it as single player only. I mean... look at SW4E. They made it a single player game, which was surprising. |
