why so surprised, DOA5, DW, and to some extent, Hyrule, already shows how DLC centric and un-game centric KT is :doge:

I fail to see why.
In agreement with Makore here, I fail to to see the truth in that.

Hyrule especially handled DLC very well, IMO. The content was solid, added significantly to the standalone game, and was priced reasonably. If you didn't buy the DLC, you still had a very complete gameplay experience.

DOA ... well ok, I'll give you that one :P

Not that it may mean much but Famitsu gave it 35/40

Well, DoA5 has good gameplay, but one of its selling points is really the sex appeal of the characters, so it makes sense that the game has a lot of DLC content (sure, its a little too much in comparison to others, but still). Regardless, DoA5 was a complete game despite the DLC, it had a story, lots of characters, a regular arcade mode and good gameplay, while they did throw an ammount of DLC that is likely worth 3 games in price, its not like the game doesn't offer a good experience by itself, even on the sex appeal department.

Meh, nothing special. Also, why the hell are all these scans so small?

Because it's Famitsu's official site and they want you to buy the magazine.

Wow Yukimura's moveset seem to follow a different format there. It seems identical with his original one, but with extensions? Seeing as he can do a C6 there, which happens to be a super long combo as well.

it's old yukimura, it has been confirmed that he uses a brand new moveset since like the early days....he's basically one of the "new characters" and prolly the only one whose age difference comes with moveset change

Yes, his older form does have a new moveset but he also has an attack string we've never seen before with him now being able to perform a C6 attack (as well as a longer C2 string). I wouldn't be surprised if this version of Yukimura would be the only one to have this kind of moveset, if they really want to emphasise him as Japan's no.1 warrior then these new abilities wouldn't surprise me if they were locked to him.

maybe all of the new characters(Yukimura, Masayuki, Chacha, and Sasuke) will have this moveset type

A new type? Hmm, I think it's unlikely. Aged Yukimura is kind of a special case since his moveset looks like his original one with slapped-in extensions, even his Musou ender looks like an upgraded version of his previous one. The other three newbies will probably have the same types as the other characters.

I'm guessing:
Masayuki: Charge
Chacha: Special
Sasuke: Hyper

but Yukimura is already Charge....ish, someone should be using a Normal type

Hidetada and Katsuyori would prolly be unchange from whatever moveset type the spear and katana is from SW4....

True :XD

Though from what little I've seen on Masayuki's moveset, at least his C2 has extensions, so I'm assuming he isn't a Normal type.

Yeah Hidetada and Katsuyori would stay Charge I guess. I wonder if they'll have a few modified attacks to differ them a bit from the other generics?

I'd agree with you in regards to Hyrule Warriors. That season pass was set at a reasonable price and added tons of content for how little they asked. I wish that practice had carried over into their other games though. The original costumes for SW4 alone cost more than the HW season pass and that's just costumes!

Katsuyori? Maybe. Hidetada? Unlikely, since he is a bonus character.

True. But Katsuyori is confirmed to be playable in the story, while Hidetada needs to be unlocked.

Actually, I believe he appeared in the first trailer, alongside Yukimura, and we were still speculating who he was, remember? We thought he was just a CAW made character.

And, let me guess, you get shells by fishing? If thats how it is, its a terrible thing, like, introduce an useless and boring minigame, like fishing into the game, and lock something important behind it to make it useful, specially annoying for those who already own SW4 or SW4II.
This has been bugging me for some time now, but you do realize those "shells" have historical significance to the Warring States period, right? They're actually horagai (a.k.a. war conch horns) used for signaling attacks, retreats, or tactical reformations. It makes sense for the developers to implement something like this in a game based on Japanese history, so calling it useless seems rather ignorant.

On another note, it looks like we'll be getting an aged version of Ieyasu in case no one else saw the new trailer.

Being a reference to history doesn't make it any less boring or more useful. Its still a stupid excuse for a minigame to pretend they're adding something new to it, while all we got of new is characters and story, and, maybe, an alternate mode. And rewarding characters? Something that everyone played in the previous SW4 games (the new ones, except Hidetada, are unlockable from the story, and Hidetada uses the generic sword)? Its not even like they give us in game costumes or anything worth a damn to unlock.
