Anime Dub?

I was curious about wether or not the aniem ahd been released since Funimation has the licence, so I went on Amazon.

I noticed the languages field lists English/Japanese. Subtitles is listed separately, so this is referring to audio, right? Then, the anime's getting dubbed?

Funimation did good with the Sengoku Basara anime, even if they did screw up a few bits to add their own terrible jokes (like Keiji's hairdo line in the movie's climax). If they really are dubbing it, I'm wondering what they'll do for the cast. will they try to keep the old actors in or replace them? Would Basara actors get any kinda of focus if the Musou actor isn't used? So many quetions.

Funimation only subbed the anime in English. And since it's been out for a while, the possibility of it being dubbed is zero.

Funimation will release BD/DVD on English in February, if I remember correctly, but last time I checked it was supposed to be sub-only.

In that case, I can't figure out why it's listed as English and Japanese if the subtitles are listed separately.

Huh, I finally got to my PC and checked the link. So English release has been pushed one month away, and indeed, I could swear that it's been written that it was sub-only release before. Maybe they'll announce it later?

EDIT: Here's the info I saw earlier:

Best explanations I can think of:
1. They've only just recently added the dub to the listing.
2. It's a mistake on the Blu-Ray listing and there is no dub.
3. The dub is exclusive to the Blu-Ray for some reason.

This one directly states that it's dubbed:

I stand corrected. Apparently, Funimation has released the cast for the dub version: link

Yet, I was having the cast all in for the dub of the anime on Koei Wiki. so happens Funimation left out a few characters even Masamune, Kagekatsu and others. including Mitsunari.

so I have explained on my Facebook post if I, Elric Atchison, were to voice Masamune Date. Ricco Fajardo to voice Kotaro Fuma and Caitlin Glass were to voice Lady Hayakawa.

Not that hard to understand why they are using a different cast, when most of the SW3 voice cast was well not that great even terrible for a Majority of the characters. with only a few exceptions.

Nene's voice in particular was not that great. and some of t he voices just did not fit the characters in SW3.

So i rather they use a different actor that could do a better job. tho i admit i do wish Yukimura's voice actor stayed as Johnny Bosch

Well some of the voice actors from 3 have hung on. Kai's VA (Luci Christian) is now voicing kid Yukimura.

I've only heard of a few of the other names myself, and that's from playing Smite. But it could turn out to be really good like SW2

If I'm not mistaken, SW3 dub was mostly consisting of LA voice actors, while this one seems to be a Texas dub. But don't quote me on that, since my knowledge about English dub is very weak.

TBF

Date had a very minor role in the anime, and a lot of the SW cast made cameos at best (Date and Kojuro...)

I dunno how I feel about this :XD Will they reverse the name order like they usually do for the English versions? Ehh... :XD the anime wasn't super great anyway

This is entirely the reason. There is no weird conspiracy theory about it.

Funimation is in Texas and for a cheap production like this they're going to do it in-house because it's cheaper for them to do so. See also Danganronpa the game vs. the anime dub for something similar (that they got the same VA for Naegi was actually a fluke as Bryce Papenbrook was already there recording for something else at the time he got the part)

I predicted Ricco to voice as Kotaro and Caitlin to voice as Kai in the anime, but I am so wrong. but Masamune has been left out. I am hoping to voice Masamune Date!
