I don't want to influence the Jury, but this is in response to Pete's opinion the last few challenges of the game "weren't skill based". A FEW people have actually said this, so this is not just directed at Pete.

It definitely takes some kind of skill to navigate between 6 people moving across a secluded board, each playing not only for themselves, but also for an ally to potentially win. Pete should know, he returned from The Oasis that round and his entire vote plan revolved around he or one of his allies winning immunity. (This was the perfect challenge for that, by the way.) With several spaces being removed from play every round, things heated up fast. Pete was the first one out of that challenge and it's only because ...he set himself up for it! And it's a mistake like that which almost gave Lisa immunity. He moved in her direction for some reason and so she took advantage of that, circled around him, cut him off and practically had the ENTIRE bottom half of the board all to herself. :P Which was brilliant and very reactive of her (one of the most necessary skills for this challenge). Lisa was on track to win the F6 Immunity Challenge too... until... ALEXIS tapped into her persuasive social skills and told Angie to throw the challenge for her "so she could beat Malcolm". My favorite thing about this is that Angie pointed out Lisa could also beat Malcolm...before sacrificing herself anyway and letting Alexis cut her off and use the rest of the spaces which barely gave her the win.

No skill? Pete almost gave the win away to Lisa by letting her have the bottom of the board. Alexis was in a clutch situation and needed to be selfish for her own survival in the overall game. This was around a time when people first started saying Alexis was a big threat to win. I love that she spoke up at the right time so she could win immunity for herself.

NEXT!

You could argue the first guess of the Mastermind challenge involves some luck and little skill, HOWEVER there's a very small chance you could get lucky enough to guess a ball in the right space on the first guess. And no one did, so that throws that argument out the window. The challenge was incredibly even the whole way through and the win came down to 1 guess. Lisa had everything except 2 colors she needed to switch, and after the last update she knew exactly which colors to switch too. That's how close it was. Malcolm and Diane are certainly not idiots in challenges either. It obviously required a lot of mental skill. On top of this you're also in a race playing against 4 other people trying to solve puzzles of their own.

FINALLY!

"The Final Hour"... WHO HONESTLY THOUGHT MALCOLM WOULDN'T WIN? Malcolm did so well in the previous endurance challenge (against Pete, by the way) I thought he had this in the bag!! When I designed the challenge, all I could think was how I was practically hand-making this challenge for Malcolm. I agree that the beginning of the challenge doesn't take much skill aside from getting you used to posting every minute and remembering to constantly flip your Hourglass, but it was just getting down to the wire when Malcolm lost. That was when the skill started to set in. Did you see how badly Angie was struggling even at the start? Not getting distracted is definitely a skill (the most important in an endurance challenge...both in real-life and ORGs) and Malcolm faltered FOR A SECOND. The icing on the cake here is that Malcolm understood the rules very clearly and initially Alexis didn't get it at all.

MALCOLM is the one who EXPLAINED the challenge TO ALEXIS and got her to understand it!!

He even drew her a diagram. And then she beat him "at his own game"! By 1 second!

I'm just saying, all these challenges took some kind of skills and saying they didn't is kind of dumb tho

Omg please make sure you tell Jeff not to be the last juror to speak lol. He does NOT deserve that awesome spot since he did nothing of interest, unlike the other jurors who actually did.

Each challenge has its own skill set, and Alexis obv had to go out and win. She wasn't handed shit. I think a thinking challenge can often require more skill. I mean if it's a challenge whore type challenge it is generally just a few of them competing against each other. Sure it takes skill but that is overrated imo since the playing field isn't so level. For example post a drop down and I am not even attempting it and others wouldn't either I imagine. I think alexis' the floor is lava win was stellar.

Also benry you should have posted some of the host chats along the way. It's kind of not fair we have so much game talk there and nothing for the players here :( I too am sorry players for not posting stuff.

I always make sure the last juror is epic and has the best speech. At least in my opinion, or as close as I can get. The most unique speech wins out. Which is why no pre-posted speech = not last.

So who is the favorite to win? Alexis?

Yeah, she has this in the bag I think. Angie may get one vote and Malcolm may get three, but I think it's going to be a fairly obvious victory for her.

Roxy is being so righteous in the FTC commentary. Hitting all the right points, pmg :<3

But yes I agree... not that I hate people like Alexis, but there's something that just sort of rubs me the wrong way about people who are guarded and try to hit all the right notes with the right people and who always try to be PC. They just don't show any REAL emotion and are right down the middle personality wise. Idk if that's really what Alexis is like or not, but I'm not a huge fan. :/

Anyway, I'm totally, completely torn. Part of me would be happy to see ANY of them win, even Angie! Although I'd still like to see Malcolm or Alexis win more.
