How would you feel if we got MK4/Gold remastered on PSN/XBL for PS3/4 and XB360/one? I would personally spazz out and lock myself in my room for years. Mortal Kombat 4 / Gold is forever my FAVORITE mortal kombat game and that will never change. Not even MKX or MK'11 will take it's throne in my heart. They already have MK1 - UMK3 remastered on PSN so I'm sure they can do MK4/Gold on it with no trouble. Don't know why they havent. |

If they replace Goro with Kintaro, remove 'Maximum Damage' crap and implement a much more balanced game mechanic, Stronger than even Tanya(LOL), sure, why not. Most people disliked MK4/Gold and considers it as one of the worst game ever produced in MK history, but yeah, if they can fix some stuffs, and balance it, along with a better graphics and visuals, I don't see why not. |

It was my least favorite of the fighting games. Although I still played the hell out of it. I got my Dreamcast just for Gold. |

I didn't hate it. It was just my least favorite of them all. The movement was really clunky. |

It didn't really feel 3D, though. It was 2D gameplay that you could painstakingly sidestep. This came out when I was playing Tekken and Tekken was really smooth for the time. |

Regardless, if it was so go on PSN, you guys wouldn't even SEE me on these forums anymore, I'd be stuck in my room gaining 500 pounds a year with my face glued to the TV. Clearly exaggerating. But still, This game was my G.O.A.T. |

Very doubtful that they will do it. They've been hounded about it for years and no word. |

I was just playing mk4 a couple days ago, anyway, a couple years ago in a stream chat for a mk9 tournament one of the lead designed "paulo Garcia" the quite dude from the mkkast 2 was asked this same question and he basically implied it ain't happening because it was coded in a low level asm langue instead of a high level programming language like C++ because they wanted to utilize the cabinet hardware (which I think used a rare and special made architecture like cell for ps3) to its highest potential, or something like that. Basically, asm language is machine dependent killing portability and that's why not one port of mk4 is as good as the arcade version even MK gold from what I understand. |

That makes sense. I never really played arcades, so I couldn't really compare them. MK4 used their in house game engine, Zeus. I never new the details of that engine, though. Strange that they would code in a low level language, though. No wonder that engine didn't really last long. |
