Sorry guys been MIA for a min. been sick and such ne who here's the tut i promised. SWEET DREAMS CHRISTOF GRANDOM Simplified version. I couldn’t remember where to find one of the pics so I used a substitute Resources: Knife 1 Christoph Knife 2 Angry Woman Make a new canvas filled with black size 500 x 400 px Drag image of knife to the center- well a bit off center of the canvas. [shift ctrl U] Desaturate it. (Change it to a greyscale image) Use a soft brush size 153 and blend into background, then a size 73 soft brush and blend or Use the polygon or pen tool to cut out the background leaving the knife. Drag the image of Christoph to the canvas and change it to a greyscale image [shift ctrl U] Resize him until he's small enough to fit in the knife. PS users: Go to the layer window and put your cursor between the layer of Christoph and the layer of the knife (making sure that the layer of the knife is below the layer of the boy) Hold down the alt key until the cursor changes to look like an arrow pointing left and two circles Click this will drop the picture of the boy into the knife. Move him around until it seems that the boy is looking through the knife- to your liking and set to overlay PSP Users position him so that it seems he's looking through the knife then set to overlay. You can see a bit of text from the original image of Christoph on the knife.- Use a soft brush and erase it ![]() ===== Get the pic of the woman and set to Hard Light Use the elliptical Marquee tool and draw a circle around her face then inverse select [shift ctrl i] hit delete until she seems to come out of the darkness ![]() Clean up- Make sure that she’s not on the layer of the knife at all. ------------------- Get the pic of the smaller knife, position it by the tip of the vertical knife, blend it into the darkness as well using a soft brush size 41 Go back to the layer of the angry woman and Duplicate the Layer ctrl J Resize so that she will fit in the knife and angle her so that it seems that she's in the knife. Clean up where necessary (erase- I would have to erase the corbis logo that’s now exposed) PS users can type in the numbers I used to transform mine from the pic below ![]() Again drag the pic of christoph onto the canvas Desturate him (shift Ctrl U) Get the elliptical marquee tool and draw a large circle then hit delete - this is just to give texture somewhat You should have something like this ![]() Make a merged copy of all the layers (make sure that merged copy is the top layer) [ctrl A] >> [ SHIFT ctrl C ] >> [Ctrl V] Let's put a radial blur on this layer filter>> blur >> Radial Blur>> Spin 36 Draft Good Use a soft brush size 153 Opacity 100% Flow 44% gently erase the blur until we have a foggy overcast on the image ![]() Drag the image of the small knife to the canvas again and angle so that it is pointing down- lower opacity to 24% and blend into the background. TIME FOR TEXT Arial Black SIZE 44 set to Sharp Type SWEET DREAMS all CAPS Colour Blue PS Users can begin to angle and when the transform controls come up on your options bar enter -90 by the angele icon [between the two H: symbols] and it will perfectly angle it for you. ![]() PSP users angle so that it is read vertically Duplicate that Text Layer then Rasterize it Add a Motion Blur Filter >> Blur>> Motion Blur >> Distance 46 Get a soft brush size 58 and gently erase Using the same opacity of 100% and flow of 44% Make a thin white line using your rectangular marquee tool width 2px {just draw a thin line fill with white} as if to underline Sweet Dreams Using Font Courier New type Christoph Grandom, white , size 24 Angle Accordingly -90 so that it falls beneath Sweet Dreams Let's add a dash of color Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Curves Blue – Input 158 output 202 Green- Input 65 output 130 Erase where necessary Layer>> New Adjustment Layer>> Selective Color>> Greens Cyan +94 Yellow – 100 Black +100 Absolute checked YOUR DONE! If you don’t like how empty it seems you can do a radial zoom and erase ![]() ------------------------------------ |
