YOUNG MOTHER NATURE

Type: Blend
Made in: Photoshop Cs3
Made for: Photoshop- should be translatable
Images:Doves! Mother Nature Texture 1 Clouds minimoon Emotion IMAGE PACK

STEP 1

Make a new canvas 605 by 462 pxls

Drag your choice for Mother Nature to the canvas, position her in a place where you’ll have room for all the different images you plan to add later.

Use the eyedropper and click on the background of the mother picture so that we can make our own background which will flow into the background of the actual picture.

The colour of my background picture is # 362a2c so using the paintbucket tool fill the background layer with that color.

Use a soft eraser size 110 to erase carefully (behind mom and a bit of the bottom right corner beside the balloon)

If you had problems like I did erasing the top right corner right by the balloon no worries we’re going to use the eyedropper tool again to find out what colour is that part of the background.

So click – I got # 1b1517

Click on the background layer and add a new layer / create a new layer and drag it to sit between the background layer and the mom layer.

Then with a soft brush size 463 click on the area that has the dark corner. It should seem to have faded into the background a bit more.

Now with a soft brush size 50 px go back to the layer (mom) and erase carefully until it seems flawless.

NB: If you have a pic that is big enough to fill up the entire background you have no problem and wont have to make your own  b.g.

YOU SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS

STEP 2
A LOT OF LIGHTENING WILL BE IN THIS SECTION

Now that you have a nice base to work on basically we’re going to add and try and blend a bunch of different pictures together to give the effect that they’re coming out of the balloon.

Drag Texture 1 to your canvas

{To give the effect that she’s blowing out wisps of light position the light texture in a manner that would match that idea}

Desaturate( SHIFT CTRL U ) it for a white light texture but if you want to keep the yellow leave it as is and set it’s blend style to Lighten

You can use a soft eraser to clean it up as you like – if it’s necessary
Now to add the doves.

Get Doves! and drag it to your canvas

Holding SHIFT and ALT Click on one of the corners of the image and make it smaller

(holding shift will keep its correct proportions.)

They are going to be huge when you first drag them to your canvas so you can zoom out and downsize then zoom back in (CTRL +) to zoom in and (CTRL -) to zoom out.

Once they’re of a size that you like Set their blend style to lighten as well

Duplicate the doves layer [Layer >> Duplicate Layer] or CTRL J

Flip them horizontally so it seems as though they are a different pair of birds and reposition them.

Image >> Rotate Canvas >> Flip Canvas Horizontally

CHECK IF YOU’RE STILL WITH ME

Ok Seeing that we have an odd coloured background we’re going to have to create a base so that the blue clouds blends smoothly and doesn’t give us an odd colour when set them to lighten.

If you already have a blue background or one that’s close to the image you’re trying to blend set to lighten and see how it looks before you decide to make a base

So get a soft brush size 400px and with the aqua blue # 34aec6 create a sort of aura and click around the balloon and the areas where we anticipate the clouds might fall.

Set to lighten

After you’re through with that get a soft brush size 174

color #ffffff and click in the balloon to make it glow- (lightening optional)

Time for the clouds – well nature- Get

Clouds and drag it to your canvas.

Position it so that the clouds are shown nicely in the aura of blue that you created.

Set it to Lighten

Get a soft brush size 90px lower opacity of the brush to 80% and take your time and erase the clouds

CHECK IF YOU’RE STILL WITH ME

Get minimoon and drag it to your canvas- set it to lighten and position wherever you like.

Drag Emotion to the canvas and position in a flattering manner- in this case I placed her above the glowing balloon.

SET HER TO LIGHTEN

We’re finishing up now- to add some depth. We’re going to make a merged copy of the blend as is and set it to Multiply

Shift Ctrl A (select all) >> Ctrl C (Copy) >> Ctrl V (Paste)

With a soft eraser size 400px erase a bit of the merged copy so that it’s a bit brighter.

In a font of your choice add Young Mother Nature or whatever you like and you’re done!
