Iron Tusk Warchief

Iron Tusk Trooper Build. This is the build I have used for Donkey, my generic Iron Tusk Tus'Kor. The Tus'Kor are the trained soldiers of the Warchief and serve him directly. Generally a Tus'Kor is worth ten regular orcs and is a different breed of warrior. So much so that Vorgazar's father 'Gorga' began the interbreeding of his tribe with bloods of other races trying to produce a new breed of orc something that could then become a purebred in later generations and further the prospects of the orcan race. Vorgazar has brought much in the way of ogre and ogrillion blood into the tribe in recent years and slowly the bulk of his Tus'Kor troups are a primarily Ogrillion blooded breed that has become somewhat purebred with taints of other things in them in small quantities. The general traits of this Tus'Kor 'breed' are a reduced mental capacity with extreme physical prowess and a rage and temper unmatched by anything else nature can produce. This is the beginning of a new breed, orc evolution, through thousands of battles and diverse breeding over centuries the Iron Tusk will fulfil Gorga's vision and do Gruumsh proud. A line of Tus'Kor veterans charging to battle in a focussed and cohesive rage is possible the most terrifying thing anyone could behold. For any who want Donkey's build I post it below level by level with some explanation of choices. This build lacks much of what many would automatically go for in a melee strength build yet it is a concept that when fulfilled opens doors and abilities that other fighters and berzerkers cannot touch. The rage of the beast puts red dragon diciple builds to shame. It is also a perk that there is absolutely no specification on a weapon when making this build and with a set of Greater Gloves of Weapon Handling from the bazaar this build can use any weapon that it can get it's hands on giving huge diversity and drawing it's power from it's immense rage rather than weapon focus's and specialisations through feats. With Donkey I have a quickslot menu of weapons and combinations of weapons as diverse as most mages have spells. Constantly I will be changing my armourment between battles picking the tool for the job to slay the next enemy most efficiently. Many people who play melee fighters always want to play a pure barbarian but a build that matches up to the fighter or berzerker multiclasses is hard to find. This build is a new kind of melee build and currently reaching higher levels I can ensure you it stands it's ground as well as my Vorgazar Barbarian4/Fighter16/Berzerker10 build, if not better. If you like collecting fancy and exotic weapons then this is the build for you. You can use anything you find. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ogrillion TusKor 1st Name: (Optional) 2nd Name: TusKor Alignment: CN/NE/CE Race: Ogrillion (+3 ECL) (Under Half-Orc) Deity: Gruumsh (Pick No Deity, ask DM to change.) Just a note take away 5 levels of barb add a level of bard and 4 levels of RDD and with items rage you just hit the 50 cap in str....Just saying. Or for a little easier trade a feat for great cleave somewhere and throw in frenzy beserker 2 levels for Supreme cleave now 2 attacks for every one kill with crits you may see some demons get double thwalluped. |

I must say, i do like to see a pure Barbarian build, one that goes all out to maximize Rage and Rage Feats, yes, including Thundering rage. Its still going to have problems as you are going to have to rely on allies or potions to keep you alive and not feared or other mind affecting effects, especially if you get hit with such as spell while not raging (although, in a hostile area you should be raging permanently). Certainly not a cheese build, and while powerful, it does have weaknesses, which makes it to my mind a very nice build to play. Well, except for the lack of versatility - just hack hack hack... |

Well, there is that hitting whatever quickslot button you have Rage assigned to at the start of each combat... Oh, and also all the time spent waiting for the effects of that will save you just failed to wear off... How did you fail to include Steadfast Determination in the build?
I realize you're going for the best possible combat possible here, Azul... but you do realize that your character is somewhere south of Forrest Gump to the point he shouldn't know any words of more than three letters, and may possibly need help to get dressed in the morning... |

Yeah, want to see this one RP'd appropriately. Slightly more intelligent than an Otyugh (INT=5), less wise than an Otyugh (WIS=12), and a charisma to match (CHA=6). And i'm talking about the monster, not Mr_O of course.

Interesting fact it is still smart enough to pick a lock with a dc of 19 and with magic item to increase its intelligence by 4 it can open any door locked in undersigil. |

By the way where did the actual Iron Tusk thread go? The build has now been altered from level 18 onwards to build in Toughness and Steadfast Determination for increadible mental saves whilst in rage. This is to replace Epic Rage which the shitty shitty shitty NWN2 *spit* game engine just doesn't allow to work if you have anything more than +2 strength and Constitution buffing gear equipped. +14 +4 +4 to willsaves from constitution vs Wisdom, mighty rage bonus and Indomitable when raged. Overall giving a whooping +10 bonus to will all the time and equivelently +22 comparitively when raged. which actually works out the same as it would have with Epic rage but meh. It has 27 more HP too. |

Bringing the discussion back here from the Mighty Rage bug thread, which I was at least partially responsible for derailing... @Azulfae - Why is it such a big issue? Its still a good build in many ways. The DR is pretty good, HP good, AB good, stats good. Why not continue to play it? Could be quite fun to play something really stupid. In fact i'd suggest avoiding the +INT and +WIS items. Tone down the toilet humour, you already did that to death with Vorgazar, just RP the pure stupidity of this guy. A pure grunt who will believe anything anyone tells him and who does absoloutely idiotic things like goes walking into a lava lake in the Abyss because he seems something pretty and shiny there... then comes running out screaming with his pants on fire. Just a suggestion anyway. |

Would you take a feat that you know would do absolutely nothing? Taking Epic Rage was equivalent to skipping a feat. There was no point in taking it. the engine cap on strength bonuses basically makes the feat ineffective on a server where you can aquire greater than +2 Stat bonus gear which to be honest is most servers. Everyone beat on about how I'd sacrificed Steadfast on a build with such crappy wisdom and huge constitution and what had I sacrificed that for? For epic rage! Epic Rage is Epic Nothing but Steadfast Determination is something so it's getting the Epic Rage slot. 1+1=2 Even an ogrillion can work that one out. |

Not taken a feat that does absoloutely nothing, but often took crappy feats for one reason or another. I still think Epic Rage is cool to have, but anyway, its your build. |
