Cleaning your Computer...; And why it seems important...

Not long ago I was discussing with Cryptc as to why my fans seemed to make over-hours while running nwn2 and even sometimes started to crash.

While we all know nwn 2 can be a tad harsh on the graph card and such, I was rather certain that my computer NEVER had blowing fans, not this loud the least...not even during massive battles on Warhammer online in 2008 when that game launched...

This morning, I opened the case and took a look inside...turned out that using a vacuum cleaner for the internals and a small duster was loooooong overdue.

Result: Been running nwn 2 along with media player (which lately caused my fans to kick in right away)

So far, no fans roaring and temperature remaining constant....

So...myeah...dust is the enemy :P

Reading the title i thought this was going to be a post about cleaning your internet browsing history of porn links and being investigated by the dutch equivalent of the FBI :P

On that note, I use Cleanup.exe to clean up all that junk off my drive.

Sometimes i have run it and cleaned a load off and then played NWN2 all day and after I have run it again and I'm suprised how much it actually cleans off just from NWN2 having been run.

The things that really puts a lot of temporary crap on your machine is facebook though.

Spend ten minutes on facebook then run cleanup and it's scary how much it has to clean off.

Good bit of software, free and makes your machine run nice and smooth. I like to run it after doing any financial stuff online and also after anything anomylous has occured like crashed I.E. whilst trying to load a webpage etc.

Haven't had a virus or spyware in years using this programme and Spybot Search and Destroy.
