Why do we bother?

You all know that in the end, Ravel is just going to make up his own stories, consisting of the adventures of a big-nosed swan-girl in the City of Doors.

I...I don't believe Pen's adventures in Sigil are a good...story for children.

Why wouldn't they be?

Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles...

It's funny because it's all there.

It has all the necessary elements: wicked step-sister, a guardian angel, a couple of evil dragons, an entire multiverse of wise-cracking sidekicks, talking animals (I might need to clean up Moocher's dialogue a little, but maybe not even that!)

There are jailbreaks, a magical sword, people who are Not What They Seem. No princesses yet (how did that happen?!) but there are a few dwarves.

There are angels, broken curses, and adventures that never go off quite as planned. There are trips to heaven. Betrayal by the person she trusted. There are people who make an appearance early on, only to become important muc, much later...

Pen's story, except for one night at the claws of Marfedelomsjach woud be wonderful fare for a series of children's books.

not to mention her encounter with a very odd monk XD

Yes, an edited version actually will work. ^_^

Very odd monkS!! Noriko, Vai'aian, and Nyrralah. Rith, too, I suppose, though he is more strange than monk. ;)

Not to mention discovering a lost kingdom, puzzling out the mystery of the standing stones in Brux, and living in a haunted house for a while.

She's met a walking dream, seen the spirit of the falls, and gotten to fly again (if only for a little while.) She's been inside the mind of a killer, comissioned a magical music box, and has a silver cylene made for her "just in case".

Honestly... Pen really could be the subject of some children's story!
