"Missing" races

There are actually a few more models, but engine limitations means only one model can be used for a race (with varying faces), so end effect is that they would all be identical...

This arguably isn't any worse than with orcs or bladelings, but I felt it was better to atleast get some variety in the gith player chars

Indeed, I remember when mine got approved there were I think 2 models for each gender?

-Zaed Nahalis: Lvl 28 Hextorite Blademaster

-Vai'aian: Lvl 18 (20) Zerth Monk

Correct. However, unlike dwarves or elves, rather than having one entry in appearance.2da and multiple head variations, each gith appearance has its own entry in the file, so you couldn't even switch between them at character creation.

Unless we had a multiple subrace selections for each appearance type.... ok, ill shut up. :P
