I cannot for the life of me find the thread listing how these work, and the search option hates my face. Somebody, save me! |
| Maybe it meant something. Maybe not, in the long run, but no explanation, no mix of words or music or memories can touch that sense of knowing that you were there and alive in that corner of time and the world. Whatever it meant. | |

Fire: Burning & fear Cold: Slow Acid: Daze Electricity: Paralyze, Knock Down, death That said while it may appear overpowering in quick glance, the odds for some things (like death from electricity as status effect... yeah good luck seeing that happen.) occurring are abysmal and you can't raise the odds by any real means. I think some of the lesser features have like DC 12, and the death has like DC 2 as long as enemies fail two previous low DCs to begin with. So yeah, not something you'll ever want to rely on truly

Aw, shame. I didn't know they even had DCs - I just saw a bunch of effects appearing post-nuking with no corresponding roll in my combat log. Still, I like the flavour of it. Cheers for that. Maybe put a link in the new guides?

Yeah, I'll put these to the new guides at some point too, had forgotten about them during the creation myself anyway. |

It's just something added mostly for flavor and variance, and slightly to make wizards offensive spells more fun to use and maybe lure some people away from the "buff'n'go" type mages... |

Yet I still wish negative energy damage caused something XD Mori would have fun with that. |

Could have sworn it had a chance to do Level Drain. Guess I was wrong... |

Nothing on negative energy or sonic for that matter... since so few monsters have any resistance to those effects, they didn't really need it since they already see wide usage. |

I could see Negative doing Level Drain, Sonic doing Deafness maybe, though it does bring up the question as to what Divine damage would do (as if it needed any buffs). |

Divine/positive/negative/magical/sonic have always been the "best" damage types, with sonic and negative as the lower tier of those. I don't think they need to be buffed further considering they're already superior to the rest even including the effects. Nuker casters define top tier as levels go up as it is. That being said, from a strictly flavour/fun perspective, it would be pretty neat. |
