no AC when fleeing from bowman

Got killed twice today by bowman overcoming my 39AC with their 20-30 rolled attacks. It happens when I am fleeing.

If it is feature - it shouldn't work anyway as I have Uncanny Dodge.

Uncanny Dodge has never worked in NWN2. That's important to know. If it was related to that, then there's VERY little that can be done without rewriting a lot of code. We had a discussion concerning Uncanny Dodge some time ago, and it apparently protects the person with that feat from absolutely nothing.
An exercise in lack of restraint:

Which area is it these archers are? Mercuria?
If so they have fairly high AB, and the groups always spawn after you walk over certain invisible triggers, that are placed in the map. They could spawn infront of you, or behind you, and they patrol to different locations.
Probably just bad luck that you've been killed by them in two different places.

If you're having troubles with archers, I suggest investing in deflect arrows as a feat (requires improved unarmed combat), or a protection from arrows wand. Concealment is also a good way of guarding against archers.
Karn Scale-Rage = Let's feed the crows!
Van Darkholme = Feel the lash of the spanking! *whip noises*
Noramos Churston = Oh! That wasn't supposed to happen...
Shrub Conifer = Nature... Will rise against you!

Me alts got wiped so I'm making a new string of nut jobs. Enjoy!

If ever somebody needs help levelling, I always have a character in range... or delevellable.

Yup, you gotta take care with those archers in Mercuria, nasty blighters.

Uncanny Dodge has been noted as not working, but anyway, it only prevents loss of DEX bonus, not any sort of immunity. If the opponents roll high enough, then you are still hit.

Improved Uncanny Dodge , actually no idea if it works, but even more irrelevant here because you aren't being sneak attacked... at best the archers won't get a +2 attack bonus for flanking... and flanking is only for melee or at very short range i think?

If what you are saying is they overcame your 39 AC with an attack of 20-30, then sounds a little strange, but combat log can be strange at times, doesn't always show things right. Really we would need screenshots to be able to take a stab at the real reason, but the deaths you suffered are probably valid.

Haha, no, we are not that evil. I only kill players for fun in the OOC room. ::troll::

Flat-footed is being especially vulnerable to attacks at the beginning of a battle. Characters are flat-footed until their first turns in the initiative cycle. A flat-footed creature loses its Dexterity bonus to Armor Class as well as any Dodge AC it might have and cannot make attacks of opportunity. The Uncanny Dodge ability allows characters to avoid losing their Dexterity bonus when they caught flat-footed.

Characters are considered flat-footed only when:
They are performing a non-combat task.
Not currently engaged in combat.
Attacked by an undetected opponent.
They are stunned, paralysed, or asleep.

Just to point out, moving to a location (or any use of WASD movement) is considered by the engine to be a non-combat task. So not only are you losing your dex, you're also losing bonuses from magic boots, the dodge feat, Luck of Heroes, haste, battletide, inspire defense, and a host of class-specific AC bonuses as well, which in the case of a high-dex character with certain prestige classes and +5 monk boots can utterly destroy your actual AC.

We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.
