Was wondering the stats and DC's of the Epic Traps here on SCOD server.

it would be nice to know things like

how many characters does the electrical trap hit

what type of ability damage does the gas trap do

etc etc etc

I looked around and searched a bit for this info, but I am known for losing the glasses on my face . . . then finding them. On my face.

If they are the same as NWN1 epic traps, I can look that up for a reference instead. But I am not sure if they are.

Thanks. :)

My bad, i never got round to documenting them.

All i can say quickly is that they are better than the base game epic traps plus there is a complete set (there were only limited types of epic traps in the base game)

I'll try to remember to get them documented.

Very useful. Thank you.

+1!

The whole crafting system looks very interesting, kudos for that :).

Create Greater Undead!

But wait, don't rebuke me, there is a reason.

The link: http://z13.invisionfree.com/nwn2planescape...post&p=22041188

seems to be "protected" (You do not have permission...) and I simply cannot find any info about epic trap
1. crafting recipes
2. crafting dcs (highest possible)
3. setting dcs (highest possible).

I thought crafting would simply go: 10 of the component + mold but it doesn't seem to work (This is not a valid recipe)?

I've noticed you can boost crafting skills with gloves. Is there an amulet that boosts them as well?
Ours is deserved damnation.

If I remember right, you need to buy a trap making recipe from someone in the Night Market in the Hive.

Thanks, that was it.

But whoa, the costs are mildly... prohibitive. Which is fine I guess, considering you can (I think) kill >everything< with enough traps stacked up.

I guess I'll figure out the dc in due time.

Edit1: For reference, crafting dcs oscillate in a 24-27 bracket.
Edit2: Ok, so unless I read it wrong from the 2da, the hardest to deal with is Epic Holy with Set, Detect and Disarm values of 55, 35 and 50 respectively.
Ours is deserved damnation.

The more useful the damage the harder it is to make the Trap I think. For example Holy damage can harm almost everything, Negative Energy has a nasty side effect so those two are harder to craft.

As for the traps power- I have seen traps taking doen the Hellfire Erynies in the abyss without the lass having a chance to react :P . Stack enough of them and it gets nasty, soon.

To boost your crafting skills there is a belt and some gloves in the game. Heroism, INT boosts, Prayer or friendly bards are of course useful as well.

Yes, I don't doubt the power, just the cost/effect ratio.

And there are no friendly bards. They are all belligerent and conniving jerks. I would know, I played one.
Ours is deserved damnation.
