SPECIAL THANKS! - GRUMBLECAKE Almost forgot to mention. Grumblecake gave us the astral areas a long time ago. Not used all he provided and repurposed them, but the majority of effort on terrain and stuff is his.

First off let me note, a few issues with the new areas (my fault, forgot to package some items, will be fixed with next update).

There is a fix from Ceremorph, but ill let her announce that.

Fixes

  • Free League sign no longer spawns the Mercykiller sign
  • Fixes issue relating to boosted Faction Henchmen not gettings spells or enchantments
  • Some other minor faction related tweaks/fixes
Feature

  • Edit your character description. This is a little awkward, so pay attention.
    In order to edit your character description, you start by sending a tell to yourself, the same as with notell or autosave features.

    The commands are as follows:

    /t yourname description new text
    /t yourname description add text
    /t yourname description del
    /t yourname description say <-- currently appears to be broken in that after relogging it doesn't correctly tell your description. However, have confirmed it is stored. Will see if I can work out why. Looks like an Obsidian bug, nothing to do. But you can Examine self (right click on your character) to view your new description instantly.

    new: Creates a new description, removing what is already there.
    add: Adds to existing description. It helps overcome the natural limitation of the length of a tell. People using Skywing's extension have a longer limit.
    del: Deletes your description entirely. There is no confirmation of this.
    say: It should report your current description, but for the moment only appears to do so if you have edited it this session.

    Formatting the text
    If you wish to apply special formatting or insert carriage returns, please take note.
    All formatting which normally works in descriptions work, but instead of using <> as usual, it takes the same formatting as the forums. Use square brackets in places of the greater and less than signs.

    If you wish to insert a carriage return, use a $ symbol.

    Ill put a more complete description with examples up when i add this info to the mechanics part of the forums.
Astral Areas
7 New areas were added and a small change to Lower Ward.

In Lower Ward there is now the Shattered Temple. Go there with a Silver Ring and a portal will open to the first Astral area. (portal effect is currently missing - just click in the doorway until you find the transition).

From there you should have been able to take a ship to two destinations. However, as i failed to include some objects the ship is not usable. As a temporary fix, we have placed a portal to one of the destinations, a Gith Fortress. Its designed for Mid levels. The other area (designed for high epics) is not reachable at this time (unless a DM is willing to drag you there and back again).

A special award to anyone who vomits while visiting the Divinity Leech!

Nothing spectacular, just a fix for falchion users, as requested in the bugs forum a little while back. If you choose to go the falchion route, your epic feats will now work the same as all other weapons.

In misc changes, I did slight adjustment of Nishrek spawns and fixed the convo on portal to give more reasonable suggestion of level range

Small update today that should hopefully resolve the astral ship issue

And it does. Woo hoo! Now just need to resolve the problem with inaccessible areas within the Gith Fortress.
