I was actually working on another theoretical build but I had to deal with EMS type stuff. I was thinking shifting to one dagger, doing an INT build, 5 swash, 2 wiz, 10 duelist, 3 wiz, 10 eldritch knights, feats/skills were a WIP.

Any thoughts on that?

Mostly the build is what puzzles me, is it 5 wizard/5 swashbuckler/10 EK/10 duelist? Since you made a 2/3 split for wiz which could be either two different classes or just taken at different time I suppose if it's the first case then that's impossible.. NWN2 restricts to 4 classes.

As for the build itself, a single dagger and 14 levels of caster... now I'm going to dissipate the inevitable "you'll be dispelled so very easily" early on by saying dispel doesn't work that way in NWN2, in PnP it would, but in NWN2 it is bugged to only care about the character level, that is you could have 1 level of cleric to cast protection from evil and it's immune to greater dispel at level 26 or so :P it's why wands are so badass too.

Here is the actual build as laid out (after numerous attempts at getting in front of my computer).

You would think rooting for Darwin in EMS would be tricky.

It's not.

Tiefling WM Just for consideration. It does have the SD cheese in it, but from my experience, you can get around 50-55 AC, which makes hipsing needless, unless you're faced with superior odds. Ends up with 28 DEX and 28 INT on SCOD, which means you'll have high AB and high damage output with a single rapier. And here precise strike and the damage bonus from 2xINT really comes into play. If you want to use bladed weapons, then duelist is not the class to take, as precise strike does not work with slashing weapons.

Though I still prefer going the rogue route to get epic dodge, because high AC + epic dodge = unstoppable dex/int fighter.

I think what you're running into here is that certain things have synergy, and deviating from them is going to leave you with a character that doesn't really "stack up" in terms of survivability. Weapon master always works best with larger weapons with more than x2 critical; sure it's nice to have your scimitar crit on almost half of your attacks, but it doesn't match up to greataxes and scythes that will be hitting 150+ in the epics. Duelist, invisible blade, and swashy are always going to be best when you've got HiPS and a bunch of sneak dice. Certain builds are just not very viable because of this: there's no real good way to combine rogue and cleric; a monk using anything but bare hands or kamas is wasted; and so on.

If you want to be a knife-fighter and not struggle, you're going to have to live with the concept of HiPS, forgo wearing any sort of decent armor, and probably focus your build on dexterity rather than strength. Weapon finesse is a great example of the synergy I mentioned before, because that allows your AC and attack bonus to both spring off of Dex; in return, though, you're not going to have the big damage bonus of a str-based fighter, so you need to find a way to make up for it, and that comes from sneak attacks, bleeding wounds, crippling strike, and so forth (don't base your build around a feat you're going to get in the epics like combat insight, because that can leave you struggling mightily in the teens.)

Of course, if you can manage to avoid having to solo-grind and find some other players to adventure with, a sub-optimal build can still be fun to play. And of course, you can also always use the Pen method: use a power build to get yourself up into the epics and kitted out with awesome gear, then start back over at 1... but with a giant pool of bonus XP, and use that awesome gear and the resultant boosted AB and AC to play "above your level" and gain fast XP by running your L2 character through beastlands at 400xp+ per kill.

We ran to the sounds of the thunder.
We danced among the lightning bolts,
and tore the world asunder.
