Hi there! I am going to Ireland for a week. I have no idea if I'll have any internet access, so I don't know if I'll be in forum at all, but I doubt that I'll be in game at all. Have fun while I'm away, everyone! --R |

Player of: Auric Tenebrason - Yuan-Ti finding himself Cael O'Malley - A warrior who's heard many myths...and now finds himself in one. Donovan SeYara - A man in pink. Kadosh Purifico - Grinning Sinker. Szuryu - Seeker of Marobashi. Verdant Waves - A Godsman man of faith. And a few more that won't fit...yeah I'm an altoholic. Make sure not to leave without re-enacting the climactic brawl scene from the end of The Quiet Man! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0JEZZxKfw0 I can't however promise that your wife will be content with having you drag her for five miles to get to the fight. |

Hi, all! I am on the world's most tenuous WiFi connection with an iPad that is running lower and lower on juice with every Lando Calrissian-styled angry bird my oldest son uses. We're staying in Cavan, the county where my wife's grandmother lives. She turns 100 next week, which is why we're here. If any of you Euro folk want to stop in, the Guinness is on me! Ireland is as green and lush and rolling as I remember, though far more developed than it was ten years ago. The people are still wonderful and friendly. eni, the Ferras-Quorrit stuff led to a couple of nights of very good RP, so thanks for that! Cere, I have never seen The Quiet Man in its entirety. I had planned to watch it last week, but I couldn't find it streamed anywhere. Anyway, I am not planning on spending any time in Dublin. I think we are going to Bru Na Boinne tomorrow (a site that always fascinates me) and then it's birthday festivities until next week. Hope to see you all soon! -R |

Ireland is one of those places I want to visit if I ever have money and time at the same point in my life. I'm jealous! |

I have a few minutes on a viable wifi connection. I've been checking the forum as often as I can, but at ten to fifteen minutes to load a web page, and with no keyboard, I haven't been too eager to post. The weather has been rotten. It's been 60 degrees and raining every day. We're all pretty well jet-lagged, and I seem to be allergic to the entire country. Nothing works at the place we're staying. The water is well water and it has huge black chunks of SOMETHING in it. There is one working outlet, and I did not have a functioning converter until half an hour ago. The toilet doesn't flush, the heat goes from non-existent to fry-an-egg at unpredictable intervals. It's been wonderful fun, though. Older son is having a blast meeting dozens of cousins he never knew existed and driving his uncle's restored tractor around the garden. Younger son's vocabulary has roughly tripled in the six days we've been here, which has been a concern for us since he turned two. All in all, it has been a splendid trip bringing four generations together for a little while. I can't tell you how great it's been. Miss you all! Been thinking a lot about faeries and how they interact with mortals. Can't wait to get back and try some things in game. --R |

Well Ireland is like a poor England with more outgoing people... |
