I'm just curious, how does Pick Pocket work in Sigil? Is it used at all? I merely ask because I've never actually seen anyone use it, nor have I myself.
You would think rooting for Darwin in EMS would be tricky.

It's not.

It's disabled against PCs. If you want to rob a PC you're expected to roleplay it, negotiate what's stolen with the PC, accept consequences of getting caught, etc.

I may be wrong, but I think I read somewhere that it still works against NPCs, but most of them don't have anything.

That means that it is working, doesn't it?

This.

And trust me, you wouldn't want to steal from folks that aren't willing to play with it... they'll cry foul and it'll just become more messy than it needs to be :P make it compelling RP and I'm sure there's many enough willing to go with it.

Oh, I don't run a thief anyway. Was just curious as I've never seen anyone actually steal anything.

The amount of drama it causes is a huge disincentive. I've had people do sleight-of-hand checks on my characters a few times, and mostly it's no big deal. A few coins, maybe a semi-valuable gem I'm overloaded on, whatever. As long as you aren't just hanging off me, rolling checks every 5 seconds, trying to steal my full plate, or in general being dumb, it's no skin off my nose.

When I played PCs with SoH, I always used it to slip things to people either without other people noticing or to put something incriminating on someone.

Disabling it was a wise decision.
